We came to have warm food for dinner. This was our first time in this place. We found it through google maps - it had tons of good reviews. I can say we made a good choice. It was easy to find the place following google maps navigations. Outside the place there is a large parking, but all the spots were taken - the place is obviously very popular. This place is like a fast food restaurant but with healthier options. At the center of the restaurant is a bar, to the right of the entrance is a counter for ordering food. The place is large - plenty of tables, TVs with sport channels on the walls. The place was packed with people - it felt more like a bar on a Friday evening. Many people were ordering beers and snacks but plenty were after food. On the menu they had sandwiches, burgers, salads, including vegetarian options. We ordered an Italian sausage sandwich with side fries and a large Cobb salad with beef. The food arrived quite fast. Everything was fresh and tasty. The only thing I disliked was plenty of strong spices on the fries - but that’s my personal choice, I prefer having them just salty. We were dining inside, took a place by the window. The tables were clean. I noticed how the waiters were cleaning shortly after customers had left, great job! Overall a great place with positive atmosphere, great prices and decent food.

Found by accident while looking for place to eat. We were hungry after driving down from San Francisco and this more than met our expectations. A fun, vibrant place with great service and food. We finished at 9 PM and people were still arriving. Lots of families. Highly recommend.

Took a pitstop at Bakersfield and saw that this was highly rated and had to try it. It didn't disappoint! We had the tri-tip sandwich and the ribs which came with a side of baked beans. The tri-tip sandwich was outstanding. Tender, well seasoned meat complemented with a crusty white bread. Ribs were a little too salty for my palette but still tender with a good bite. The baked beans were great, although a little sweet.

I used to be local in Fresno so I found Firestone Grill via Doghouse Grill. I love myself a good Monster Burger, add bacon, done medium and a side of fries. Still the best burger I've ever had! Just as good as Doghouse in Fresno, CA.

It’s been several visits now that our food arrives cold. Fries taste like they’re bathed in spices but no salt. I used to love the tri ti sandwiches but can’t get over the cold food. Stay away from the chicken sandwich unless you’re on a diet!

Surprisingly, the trip tip is not the thing to brag about. The Monster burger was aromatic, juicy and memorable. The skinny fries with the Cajun spices were 2nd to the burger. Nice bar atmosphere for watching the game.

Very lively very loud. They have two sections one were you can sit down and be served with a waiter and everything or you order at the front counter and just sit down like any fast food restaurant. Ordered two cheeseburgers one with avocado and bacon and one plain. They were very mediocre as far as burgers go, whatever the cheese is that they use is amazing. Ordered a basket of fries and it's enough for 4+ people. They are crispy and very well seasoned.

I’ve been here several times and have always loved their food. The tri-tip is some of the best around, on their tri-tip sandwich they pile the meat on, it’s served on a grilled roll, it’s delicious and huge, I always take half home with me. This place gets busy and loud. They have a full bar in the center of dining room, you can eat at bar. This is a sports bar/grill, with excellent food and approximately 20 wide screens surrounding the area. Employees have always been friendly and fast.

Great Restaurant! Food and Customer Service was great. Amazing Burgers and Fries! Drink machines needs some sanitary attention the soda machine tips should be removed soaked and washed every day or night to avoid black tiny particles in consumers drinks. But again great Staff and restaurant I enjoyed myself.

Don't let the back commercial parking lot outside mislead you. It is a comfortable sports bar with the name of a tire store. Nice restrooms. Get in line to order. Food will be brought to your table. Excellent pub food. I had the ribs and they were great. My son paid for lunch, but a look at the menu made me feel like it was fairly priced. Not too loud. We could talk without having to lean of or raise our voices. Open floor good for people and screen watching. A couple different games were on that day.

I've been to Firestone Grill in Bakersfield a few times. If I lived in or near Bakersfield, I'd be here all the time. But when my travels take me through Bakersfield at lunch time, Firestone Grill is high on my priority list. The restaurant offers a variety of things to eat: burgers, salads, chicken, hot dogs.... I haven't tried any of those. What keeps me coming back is the tri-tip sandwich. The sandwich consists of several generous slices of medium-cooked tri-tip stacked inside a warm, buttered bun. The meat is juicy and flavorful and topped with just the right amount of barbecue sauce. It really is delicious! For my most recent trip to Firestone Grill I was accompanied by my two adult boys who also ordered tri-tip sandwiches. To accompany our sandwiches we ordered baskets of fries and onion rings. The fries are a shoestring variety, crispy, and seasoned. The onion rings are breaded and provide a nice crunch and the onion inside is sweet and flavorful. Everything we ate was outstanding. The restaurant has a lively sports-bar feel with flat screen TVs scattered throughout the building. It's a bit noisy, but not so noisy that you can't converse with others at your table. This time was different from my previous visits because they added a full-serve section as well as a counter-serve section. I'm not sure why they thought this was necessary, but then again, I'm not in the restaurant business. I now live in South Carolina and visit my family in California two or three times a year. But when I come back to the golden state, Firestone Grill beckons me back for some great tri-tip.

Huge portions. Decent food, but not many standout entrees. Would like to have beef ribs as a option, but only pork was available. We had a tritip salad was okay since the vinaigrette dressing overpowered the flavor. Very loud indoors. Good drink prices. Will not return

Very nice place, it was packed but the food didn't take long. I had the monster and my girlfriend the trip trip sandwich, both were very juicy. The fries were excellent as well. Will definitely come back!

By far, the best ribs and fries in town. They are not shy with their portions, and the food tastes delicious. If you order a basket of fries, it is enough to feed a family of 4. My wife usually get the Tri Tip sandwich and is never able to finish it because of how much meat they add in it. The ribs have a smoky flavor to them, and they are very soft, which is a plus since I have sensitive teeth. I highly recommend this place. Have yet to try their burgers, but they look delicious.

I really wanted to be able to give 5-stars, and I enjoyed my visit and will go again, but their ribs were very disappointing. You usually hear about “fall off the bone” ribs; these were “gnaw off the bone” ribs — and I still couldn’t clean the bones, no matter how much gnawing I did! However, the beans were delicious. The garlic bread was subpar; I didn’t even taste a hint of garlic. I was told the next day that I should have ordered their tri-tip sandwich. That didn’t surprise me because the beans had some tri-tip in them and it was fabulous. The service was good. I liked the atmosphere. Plenty of TVs so you could see the game you’re interested in no matter where you’re sitting. The beer prices were very reasonable (I think it might have been happy hour pricing).

Do I start with how loud it is. Yes, it is extremely loud. The place is a sports bar and grill. It should be loud. If it wasn't, the staff would not be doing their jobs. Do I follow with the servers stand around talking to customers? Hell yes. I watched customers laughing and smiling while talking to the servers. The servers, if you wanted full service, were excellent. Don't like sports? Go anyways. The food is SUBLIME. sub·lime /səˈblīm/ adjective of such excellence, grandeur, or beauty as to inspire great admiration or awe. Eat the Tri-Tip sandwich. Get French Fries and Onion Rings, you can get the fries 50/50 with onion rings. Your tummy will love you. The tri-tip was perfect. So tender, even a person like me, with missing teeth could eat it. There were enough fries and onion rings that I could not finish them. The onion rings gave the 18 Hundred a run for their money. The fries have a special seasoning that is great. All in all, A VERY GOOD PLACE TO EAT!!!!! Do I recommend them? They get four yeses.

The small serving for the Tri Tip Cobb salad was huge and delicious! I ordered it with the southwest salad dressing that I think was a mistake, because it took away from the tri tip. Burger was decent, very filling, not very pretty but juicy. The onion rings were great… sorry before the blurry picture. The atmosphere is a little too much… noisy and unorganized, most of the tables were dirty. Windows were plastered with hand prints. There were a lot of families and children, considering it has a huge bar in the middle of the dining room area. Exterior of the restaurant needs sprucing up to make it more welcoming. I would go back, maybe not on a Friday.
