Friendly staff, clean rooms, very comfortable pillows! Also able to keep room cool and can run fan continually (which I always appreciate as it makes for 'white noise'). Food good as well. Free parking.

The staff are amazing. Helpful and friendly. They make you feel comfortable and at home. The room was ok. There was blood in the bathroom that had not been cleaned but the rest of the room appeared clean. Be aware that microwaves are not in the room and cost $10 to have one for your stay. The nines restaurant was good and the waitress was polite and attentive.

Very nice hotel but they do not support military personnel. I used to use this hotel every month for military travel and must use a government rate for my travel card. As of a year ago they no longer have government rates and when I asked why they said it was because they had events and were charging the full rate for rooms because of that. Sounds like they are more concerned about maximum profit than service members and for that they get two stars!

Rooms were a bit dated, doors/walls were easily heard through. Service and food were amazing at both the restaurant and breakfast area for all 3 nights. It is located close to the convention center, but other than that, it's not a great area to be in.

Given a room with a puddle of water with dirt and what looks like a few dead bugs in the shower. Given a second room and it had alot of standing water in the shower as well… as if someone just showered. The only hotel that only has a military rate if you are at the hotel for work…. I went to the restaurant and one person looked at me and kept walking… it has a sign that says wait to be seated… so I’m looking dumb. The bar lady came over and helped me finally, the bar lady was awesome… the restaurant staff are to busy in the back talking, laughing, and even though the restaurant is open, NOBODY is paying attention to any potential customers. Poor experience and not military/vet friendly at all.

Negative: For a hotel review the most important thing on the list is the price and the bed. The price was a bit much but I read the reviews and it seemed reasonable for this place - wrong!! Take Uber or Lyft and go elsewhere (we traveled on Amtrak which is nearby)! The bed was the second worst I have had in 25 years. I ended up sleeping on the sofa and got about 3 hours sleep - very sad. There were several other negatives I won’t go into but if you go ahead and stay you'll discover those for yourself! Positive: it seemed clean.

I was there for a work event. My coworkers had no issues checking in. But, for me, even though it was the same company credit card for my reservation as theirs, the front desk clerk wouldn’t check me in without me presenting the actual card (even though it wasn’t my card) or a filled out authorization. Regardless of me trying to explain, in the end, I had to pay out of pocket and expense it. Then I got to my room and my key wouldn’t work. So, I had to go back downstairs to get that fixed. They put me in a different room instead. Once I actually got in, it was fine. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

While the staff is great and the hotel is nice, the noise between rooms is too notable to ignore. Not sure if it’s because my room (616) has one of the joining doors in the wall in case your family is next door or whatever, but the sound travels way too easy between rooms. Mind you, my neighbor isn’t making excessive noise. But I have heard him vomit (sounded like he was doing it in my bathroom), take calls (can hear his room phone ring in my room), and his TV might as well be my TV. Again, it’s not him being loud, it’s just there is no sound barrier apparently. Too bad, as the staff is great and the hotel is very clean - but without a bit of peace in your room, everything else is overshadowed. If you get a room with an adjoining door, go back downstairs and demand a change. It’s not worth the roll of the dice that your neighbor will be silent: trust me.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Bakersfield and it was a great experience! We arrived late at night but checking in was a breeze and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We ordered room service and I have to say, the food was delicious! It arrived quickly and was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was also super comfortable and we slept great. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Sheraton Hotel in Bakersfield if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. We had a great time!

We enjoyed our short stay here. Check in was fast and the rooms were very clean and spacious. The lines were lively for sleeping and when we called for extra towels and pillows they arrived in a flash. We didn't get to use the pool or jottub area buy it looked very nice. They had Starbucks on site for those who love their morning breaks and ☕️.

Always have issues with getting a connecting room here, we have a mobility impaired family member and need this to ensure her safety. Homeless issues in this area. They jump the fence and use the pool. Pool was not heated and to cold to be in, even though the weather was 80 out, huge disappointment for the kids.

First, the staff was extremely friendly which is always appreciated. They have fixed up parts of the property, while leaving other parts neglected. The pool and hot tub are very dirty. The room still had cottage cheese on the ceiling, original furniture and bathrooms. It was bizarre to have the room only half upgraded. There were also people smoking everywhere. I don’t know if that was the convention that happened to be there, or if that’s typical. But nobody was regulating it around the pool or anywhere else. Now when my daughter smells cigarettes she says, “It smells like Bakersfield.”

Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful parking was free, room was clean, location was convenient to downtown. Cons: Walls are thin. VERY THIN. I learned a lot about the people in the next room because it felt like they were having a conversation in my room. I could hear everything. Just made for a very uncomfortable experience. Then we were woken up at 730 am on a Sunday due to construction noise in the room above ours. Pool was ice cold and spa was lukewarm.

Parking ample and free. Employees are friendly and professional. Rooms are comfy and clean. Beds are comfortable and clean. Internet good. Cleaning attendants do a great job and courteous. Food is delicious and bar/lounge a great go to. Checkout was fast and easy.

The Starbucks in the lobby has gone downhill. The two ladies working on 6-18-23 do not know how to make Starbucks drinks or coffee. The one making the drinks looked so upset to be there. My drink was gross, it tasted like iced water with creamer. I had to throw it away. They don't have hot coffee or make frappuccinos, they also don't have everything on the Starbucks menu. Don't even bother.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it was last min booking but all the staff were so kind. We were greeted my Emily. She’s the sweetest. You gave me another key when I lost mine the first time. And carlos was just a big help with our bags he even adjusted the temperature in the room for us. We didn’t have a good experience at the Starbucks counter, they gave us the wrong order but carlos gave us out of his own things some coffee. The rooms were spacious and clean. They didn’t have complimentary breakfast but if you wanted you could go to the restaurant down stairs (but it’s alitte pricey, a regular hot coffee was almost $5 and avocado toast was $15. But good!) was very beautiful hotel to stay at. At the distance to the convention center you can’t beat. Oh and the beds we’re comfortable.

Eleanor and Angie are the best! They helped me with two different situations and made my stay just perfect. Both deserve a raise! Thank you! Will be staying here again! Definitely recommend staying here!

The door lock on the bathroom didn't work, as in if you closed the door you got locked in. They didn't bother to replace it during our weekend stay. The pool is deceptively smaller than the picture and it was filthy. One of the other guests cleaned it out for us. No one offered me help to bring my stuff upstairs until we were done, but they wanted me to bring the cart down. 🙄 If this was the super 8 I probably wouldn't complain, but for what we paid and for the Marriott name, it was sadly disappointing.

Rooms are clean and up to date. The furniture is pleasing and functional. Small bathroom and shower area, but, are you there for the bathroom? Nope, enjoy the large beds and have a great night's sleep.

The Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center offers a good experience for business and leisure travelers. The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to the convention center and downtown attractions. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant and seamless experience. The on-site amenities, including the fitness center and restaurant, are excellent. Overall, the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center is a good choice for a stay in Bakersfield.# special mention of Ms. Maria who attended us at the Concierge Lounge.

Pro: nice bar and restaurant. Clean rooms and floors. Lots of eating options close by. Very nice views from upper floors. Cons: Close to Fire Station, heard sirens all night. Elevator floor could have been cleaner.

I arrived and no one was there to check me in. I waited and a Karen comes out. She assumed I didn’t have my voucher for a discount. I showed it to her and she told me to email it to her personally. She refused to give me my room key. I told her I was tired and I’ll send it to her. She told me to send it 6am or I’ll be charged a regular rate. As she gave me the keys she said don’t smoke in your room. My friend had dreds. When I went to my room A picture of raw cotton was hanging in the bathroom. My guests told me she asked him for the email as he walked pass her about 15 mins later. I sent the email as soon as I got to the room because I know that is not the policy at all. As a Bon Voy member she racially profiled me and my guests hounding us for something she knows I didn’t have to email her when I showed it to her. I will never stay at this location and I would leave right now .

Horrible customer service, came here for work and two of my chargers were thrown away by room service. It took talking to three different people to resolve the issue. I also had to extend my stay one night due to additional work needed to be done. The front desk attendant took half an hour to find another room and he tried to give me the same key that clearly wouldn't work. Then the next day I get a call and they say he didn't actually extend my stay and just moved my room (next to a broken ice machine) and I finally resolve this and get it extended. Then when I get back my key doesn't work and I had to go get another key which took more of my time after a 12 hour shift. They also moved me next to a broken ice machine. I'm currently being kept awake by it. Horrible experience, you'll have a better time at any other hotel even a mom and pop motel. Do not stay here

Just good enough to have nothing to complain about, but nothing to make me want to come back. It felt like an upgraded motel 6 instead of a good hotel. A used room service tray was left in the hall by our room on Saturday afternoon and was still there Monday morning when we left. Our beds and pillows were showing their age. Fitness center was nice, but several machines needed maintenance. In general, the place looked like no one cared about the details.

Stopped by the bar after a Condors game. Was a really nice place to have a couple drinks and celebrate a hard fought win by the Condors. Bartender was very knowledgeable of surrounding area and was able to recommend a good place to eat that was still open after the hockey game. Will definitely stop by again after the next game i attend.

Over all a really nice hotel, front desk is awesome. It was easy to make a reservation online. Great location, awesome atmosphere. The only thing I didn't like or enjoy was the noise of people going in and out of the room next to me and above me. It sounded like they were coming into my room and the door slamming was not cool; again it sounded like it was in my room. I could hear the conversation through the vent near the ceiling. Bumping going on in the room on top of me. But the view was amazing 😍 at night. It was so beautiful.

Nice and clean hotel. Good breakfast quality and portion in the morning. Most importantly FREE parking, which is rare in most Marriott Branded hotels and inns at California. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel stay was a great experience. We were there for one night and it was clean. A very busy hotel. Customer service was good. Nothing really that wowed us as far as the features of the hotel. It was a good stay.

The reason for two stars is for organization and the wait time to check in. We came for a wedding my family and friends had about 5-6 rooms reserved and confirmed about 5 hours before arrival and none were ready on time 3pm is check in we ended up having our rooms by 6pm! We all have to jam in one bedroom to be able to get ready for the wedding which was 30min away from Marriott. My cousins who got married made a deal with this Marriott for their guests so they new way in advance we were arriving. We ended up being late for the ceremony. The staff was nice but that doesn't take away how unprofessional and unorganized was the service. Free drinks vouchers and a 2 extra hours to check out doesn't compensate that we waited 3hours after the 3pm check in time. The important for us was not to leave late next day butbe early and on time stress free to attend the wedding of our cousins. So disappointed.

Hotel is Awesome and Brittany and Willie are super stars! I stayed at this Marriott for business a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing stay. My group arrived alongside another large group so I expected a long wait before checking in. The three front desk agents proved me wrong by moving through every reservation quickly and with care. When i checked in Willie and Brittany took care of my reservation and greeted me as if they had just started their shift (It was around 10pm) their energy and attitude started my stay at the hotel with positive vibes and when their was a problem with my room they fixed it expeditiously My actual room overlooked Bakersfield (as nice as its going to get) and was so clean it made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and everything was up to Marriott standards Location was great close to food...

This is my 3rd stay and love full service Marriotts. This Marriott in particular is one of my favorites in the Bakersfield area. Excellent Customer Service! Janay Henderson, Willie Blackmon, and Angie Holder assisted me during check in and all were wonderful and welcoming. This is my go to hotel for relaxation and for my shopping trips. Thank you !

Best hotel in Bakersfield. Next door to Mechanics Bank Arena, big lobby with a restaurant, bar, and Starbucks. Mardy at the front desk was awesome! My only complaint was that the windows in the room won’t open.

Excellent service 👏 Good staff at the lobby and lounge. Quick and easy check in process. The ladies at the lobby are very friendly. Shout out to Maria Elsa- she took kept the dinner items open past the closing time period. The suites on 9th floor are very large , bright , modern and beautiful. One of the best experiences I have ever had. If even an opportunity will definitely come back to stay at marriot. The views from the front and back are great as well. Highly recommend bussiness travelers.
