I
hadn’t
been
to
a
Golden
Corral
since
I
was
a
kid,
and
I’m
typically
a
bit
leery
of
buffets,
but
we
joined
another
large
family
and
went
before
last
night’s
hockey
game.
With
drinks,
it
cost
us
$25
per
person
for
dinner
(breakfast
and
lunch
cost
slightly
less).
We
ate
at
about
5:00,
and
they
had
no
problem
accommodating
our
party
of
13.
We
did
have
to
split
up
between
a
table
of
8
and
another
table
of
5
right
next
to
it,
but
that
wasn’t
a
problem
at
all.
I
feel
like
when
you
go
to
any
buffet,
you
should
go
with
the
understanding
that
you’re
not
going
to
get
the
best
meal
of
your
life,
but
hopefully
that’s
not
what
you’re
there
for.
I
judge
a
buffet
by
variety,
cleanliness,
price,
and
whether
or
not
my
body
regrets
it
later
(in
our
family
we
call
it
“bubble
guts.”)
The
variety
was
good.
They
had
everything
we
were
looking
for,
including
an
above
average
selection
of
desserts.
The
soft
serve
ice
cream
machine
was
out
of
order,
which
prompted
a
playful
McDonald’s
comparison,
but
that
wasn’t
a
deal
breaker
for
us.
I
should
mention
their
dinner
rolls
(I
forget
what
they
called
them)
as
they
were
excellent.
I
got
a
piece
of
steak
and
a
couple
ribs,
both
of
which
were
better
than
I
expected.
Overall,
the
place
was
pretty
clean.
There
were
plenty
of
employees
following
behind
people
and
cleaning
up
messes,
as
well
as
keeping
tables
cleared
and
drinks
refilled.
I
mentioned
price
above;
I
thought
we
got
our
money’s
worth,
and
these
days
it’s
nearly
impossible
to
eat
out
on
a
budget.
And
I’m
pleased
to
see
that
the
food
was
agreeable
with
all
of
our
bodies,
which
is
not
always
the
case
with
buffet
food.
Overall
a
good
experience
that
we
would
do
again.
