Such a wonderful day to be at the park for Memorial Day. All the flags were beautiful. Lots of people there enjoying the park.

This is a very popular place to walk or jog. It has wide walking paths allowing passing other pedestrians easily. There are two lakes connected by a flowing brook. It attracts a variety of water fowl year round.

Love this park. Love taking my family here. Close to McDonald's just in case the kids get hungry. Across the street, they have a gas station and other food places. A cool little place to visit is what I call, The Locks at Riverwalk. On the west side of the park, there is a bridge. People take their locks and date them and just hang them there. Awesome thing to do with the family.

The family loves this park during the day..so we tried it at night and it wasnt bad. I feel like the playground can use a little more lighting but it was still visible. All the lights walking around were working. The bike trail is definitely darker. We felt pretty safe, plenty of people still walking and bike riding. I took one picture without enhancing and the other two with.

This park is getting 5 stars, but it's certainly not because of the beautiful River. April 2021, zero water in the River. but this is a beautiful green space with some nice picnic tables and public bathrooms. There are some swings for the kids, and for adults. Great place to have a family get-together.

Such a beautiful Park, so peaceful and a wonderful walking area around it's pond. Many shelters placed around the lake provide the perfect spot to picnic in the shade.

Celebrated 3 birthdays on 09/26/23 at the Park at River Walk. It was a beautiful place to have a quick picnic. The area was clean and kept. Several people were out walking their dogs. I will definitely come back.

The park is lovely but it is discouraging to walk along the bed of a dried-up River. There were some interesting wildflowers along the path, including jimson weed. The path is best reached from a lovely park with a small pond on the middle. There are areas for picnic and a playground for kids.

Water level in the ponds fluctuates, but fishing is usually possible. Nice playground, but don't depend on the water to play in.

Great park with a lot of things to do. Big playground for the kids, a little shallow creek where you can relax in the water, and a bunch of pokestops if you like to play pokemon go (like 20 stops and 2 gyms)

This is a beautiful park to walk, ride your bike, have a picnic, and take your kids to play in the playground. My kids and I typically spend about 1.5-2 hours here. There are downsides, It is kind of dirty, there are transients around the bike path. They've never bothered us, but the mess they leave behind is unsightly and some people do not clean up after their pets. It is close to CSUB so there are typically college groups hanging out studying or just smoking weed.

This is by far my favorite park in Bakersfield. A massive field with plenty of biking and hiking trails, a full playground for the kids, clean facilities with convenient spots to sit, and it's all right next to a shopping center! Perfect for gatherings of any size, and an all around great spot to gather!

Wife told me I should go fishing and I figured I'd go somewhere near by. Only out there about 3 hours and landed a few trout, not a bad morning.

Absolutely loved this park, my first time there. Beautiful trees and lots of grassy area. Playground and restrooms, within walking distance to the Riverwalk shopping center. Parking and bike path access. Tables and barbecues. Great for parties! Grassy hills to roll down. Very beautiful overall and can't wait to get back there again!

Love this park and all the walking/running/bike riding trail/paths. I bring my grandson out here and push him in his baby jogger. People are very friendly. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked when I've been there. Large bathroom stall that baby jogger will fit in it too. Lots of grass areas and picnic tables to enjoy a lunch or just take a load off your feet. Only a few swings available, so please don't hog and share with others. Thank you! If parking lot is full just park at mall area. There are several opening that lead you to cement/asphalt paths. Easy walk to main park from there and already getting your steps in.

Very beautiful clean place. Has a nicely shaded bike trail that is paved and well maintain. Safe place to go during the day. At night there are some unhoused people who tend to lurk near the river so I would reconsider going after dark. View along the bike trail.

Usually I would take kids here if I took a trip to bakersfield, it is big with good biking trail, but today we didn't even get out of the car... It was crowded with people and 90% of the people has no mask.. good luck...

HUGE! Is the best way to describe this park! Miles of sidewalks to walk on. Acces to walking down to the Kern River...which of course has no water! It is Bakersfield!

  • 5/5 Juan G. 3 years ago on Google
it was a g fun experience ppl... thanks

  • 4/5 Bella S. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful place, landscaping, the playground, and the amphitheater are very cool. A little over crowded on weekends, however, and getting dirty. Needs a good power washing! lol Plus sometimes the sprinklers go off and on during prime hours, making mud. Muddy kids and my car don't mix, so I hope they fix that.

  • 4/5 Sarai M. 3 years ago on Google
I always enjoy a clean park, this wasn't my first time here. My son and I enjoy the trail and the atmosphere. Although the trash can need more maintenancing. I always feel safe here and my nephews always enjoy the ducks and water.

  • 4/5 Henry R. 3 years ago on Google
Could use a clean up in the water site but overall good experience to take a deep breath and rest a bit. Also big spaces for kids to play, a trail for biking and walk as much you like. Overall a great park for a quick and much needed outdoor activities.

  • 3/5 Amy H. 3 years ago on Google
This has always been a pleasant, clean park. Multi use areas, clean restrooms, many seating areas, water features, etc...this last visit, though, while Covid is exponentially increasing, was worrisome. Too many people there, but primarily, less than half of people were protecting the community by wearing a mask. I know it is outdoors, but with the number of people there, all crossing pathways, etc it was unsafe. We did not stay as my husband is very high risk. We will try again earlier in the day, as we ALL need some outdoor recreation, not just the people who fail to follow very simple precautions.

It's nice, pretty clean, nice place to get away from your troubles and just stare at the birds or the water.

I was in Bakersfield visiting my daughter and her family whom I hadn't been able to see for a year because of the pandemic. We mostly stayed in the house to keep to the social distancing but she wanted me to see her favorite park, The Park at River Walk, where she takes her toddler in his stroller for a change of scenery. I was very impressed with this beautiful park and got many absolutely gorgeous pictures while the sun was setting. If you're in the area I recommend you a stroll in this lovely park.

  • 5/5 Lynda C. 3 years ago on Google
