Dining area is decently presented. Food was tasty. Not much for presentation, everything is in to-go containers, seems to be a trend since Covid, Chicken Katsu had great crunch, could have used more spices. Mac salad was traditional and tasty.

The food here is delicious and very authentic to Hawaiian BBQ! I've already gone back to try the orange chicken and BBQ Beef, and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be eating here again, it's one of my newest favorite places to eat in Porterville 👍

We have become regulars. The owners and staff are super nice and helpful, even when they are busy. Our family favorites are: Katsu chicken, Musubi add sesame seeds, Barbecue Platter, & orange chicken easy on the sauce. Local bought ingredients homemade in their kitchen, we feel good about eating JJ's real Hawaiian food. FYI there is a "secret" menu. Order the spam fries! The owner is always adding new things. Like Boba or thai iced tea. And when I say we're regulars, ha! We mean it. Mia accommodated our bday party of 19 people! Everyone had a great time.

Food was decent and the service was good, but it was kind of overpriced in my opinion. They give you a lot of food, but the quality was OK. I didn’t care for the Mac salad and they charge $5 for a side of it. The BBQ beef and chicken katsu were good though, and so was the salad.

Store charges tax on Juices that have no co2 in it. Not the employees fault but owner should change that before getting in trouble.

Our family has frequent here since they opened. Place is always clean, quick for freshly made, and friendly service. I appreciate the off menu accommodations; like adding sesame seeds to my musubi, mixing 2 flavors of slushee, or sub out a side for something else. I hope they add more Hawaiian food to the menu, like loco moco or barbecue kebabs.

Amazing food. The grilled shrimp is perfect. Atmosphere is nice and clean. Food is a better choice then most places in porterville.
