Don’t come here , go get your care / help from a real professional that cares about helping people. The staff here is horrible, make racist jokes, the doctors do not care and want to get you out of the rooms ASAP. Clearly they are in the wrong profession. The paperwork they gave me did not match what the doctor told me during the visit. They did not give me any information on what to do for my recovery. When we asked the nurse questions regarding the visit she got annoyed and tell you everything is on the paper. She was very rude and did not want to translate/ explain anything to an elderly man trying to clarify what to do in regards to the visit. Horrible horrible service. I came in and left with the same pain and had to come back not even 12 hours later. Long story short don’t waste your time , go get diagnosed by a real professional that WILL HELP and get you the care that you need!

My boyfriend is currently here for an infection that made his face swell immensely. They first couple nurses were awesome but when we came and they told us they had to admit him. Hell. The night staff in particular he told him for hours his throat itched after one of the nasal cleanings only to be told we gave you mouth wash we gave you water. Only when he became frantic did they offer a Benadryl. His nurses page would go in answered for 10-20 minutes. This past Friday a night nurse did his nasal clean and she didn’t know where his infection was or how to even do it properly. He had to show her and again his IV fell out took 15 minutes for them to come back and fix it. He was told around 6pm on Friday after being there for days of his IV falling out because of his skin condition oh radiology can put it higher but they don’t work on weekends this hospital is a joke.

They booted out our still sick family member before treatment was completed -with the same infection she presented with and on top of that the nurses infected her wound with MRSA just before discharge and told us “she would probably become septic “; really? She became septic and we lost her 10 days later. Unprofessional nurses. Filthy and understaffed. Stay away from this place if you want your elders loved ones to survive.

Decided to go in due to shortness of breath and tightness in the center part of my chest. The nurses were nice got into the room and they drew blood. They were really nice to me and the nurses were very sociable and I liked that. Took a little while but I ended up getting a room in the regular hospital stayed for another 2 days and was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. A very small clot in the right lung. They did their work and I feel much better picked up the prescription and I'm doing great. Keep up the good work guys.

I came in because I had difficulty of breathing and they took my blood pressure and it was pretty high and my heart level was elevated as well. They ran a lot of test on me to rule out every possible scenario but overall the nurses were kind and patient and made me feel comfortable when I was in the emergency room. Great staff !

in my opinion, its horrible place. had a family member stay here a couple years back and the nurses were so mean whenever we tried asking for updates on how my family member was doing. When I brought up the concern to the person in charge he was very demeaning and disregarded my concerns. Then when my family member was in ICU and the doctor recommended a surgery one of the nurses had the audacity to recommend us letting our family member pass because they had "already lived a long life" who says that when the family member has to make an important decision and no one asked for your advice. the employees here are rude and do not care about the patients. save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else

Surprised. Anyone in Cali that has Medicaid isn't already dead. I had my son looked at here. Said he has the flu. 24 hours later he's violently ill. Throwing up. Stomach really hurts. Lips chapped. Crying and shivering. Yet no help just go home and give him Tylenol. What a joke and u call yourself a hospital. Idaho and surrounding states actually care about there patients to a point. It's sad to see doctor go from caring to all about that money.

There were eight of us visiting from Canada. My wife’s cousin brought her son here, and he was treated quickly and properly, so a couple days later, when I fell and ruptured my kidney, I went here as well. However, due to the extent of my injury, they were not able to keep me there, and I was quickly transferred out to a trauma facility. But the care and professionalism that was shown to me was impressive as they clearly put the patient first. Even though my visit was short, I would have no problem recommending this hospital.

I took my son here after he had an asthma attack and it was a very great experience for the both of us. I really dreaded having to go to an emergency room because I know how long it takes to be seen and treated but Dr. Truong gave us everything we needed and got us out in record time! The nurses and RT were also very nice and accommodating. Dr. Truong gave my son the prescriptions he needed and treated him with kindness. Thank you GGH ER!

Staff was very nice at the moment I walked up to the ER. I was listened to and seen very quickly. My needs were met with medications given to help with my breathing. Was in and out within a couple of hours and able to go home and sleep breathing easier. Thank you!

The only reason I am giving them a 1 star is because there is no minus star. I took my wheelchair bound stepson to the E.R. they misdiagnosed him as have him back problems and discharge him out if the hospital without finding out the root cause of his issues. I pleaded and cry to call a ambulance transfer him to UCI and they refused to give me assistance. this people are very cold hearted they would not help you, and just to make short he is fighting for his life at UCI!

Staff was completely rude, I explained to them very clearly my medical conditions/allergies and they gave me medicine which triggered an allergic reaction making things only worse. They then made me sit in the lobby for about 3 hours until they finally gave me something to stop the swelling in my throat and redness in my face. I was originally only here for a sprained wrist... most terrible visit I've ever had. Oh yeah don't forget you can't bring in your loved ones either, they have to pay the parking fee while they wait in their vehicle 👍never going back there again

Thankful for the Garden Grove Emergency. I had Palpitation twice and they got to me in timely manner. They ran some tests and rest assured I am gonna be fine though being diagnosed with birth defect with my heart. The doctor, Nurses (students) were all kind. Thank you for the care I received at your hospital

This place is amazing. This hospital runs things how the state of California runs things. Inefficient, slow, and they don't have a public restroom. In fact, everywhere we went on our trip in California no one had a public restroom. Now we know why people defecate on the streets. I was refused water, and a restroom during our 6 hour wait time. I was told to go to the building next door, then told by the building next door that I would have to go back and ask them again.... No thanks, I'll go off campus and try to hunt down my own bathroom and water. To top it off they make you pay for parking. Like California, this hospital will be filing for bankruptcy soon. Perfect example of a democratically ran hospital and State. It will be your demise. 3 stars for a hope that you can better yourself.

Horrible emergency room! Only one doctor is working there. Patient is yelling and requesting a help over one hour. No estimated time for service. Why not tell the patient at the register? Then we can go to a different hospital. Unbelievable how they treat the patients! Never ever go this place!

The cardiac medical team of doctors, nurses is outstanding. They are efficient and very straight forward. They take the time to answer questions and explain every option. We can't thank them enough. They work long hours and do it with a smile. We are so blessed to live in a country with superior medical care.

The Emergency room was the best experience I have ever had in my life ❤️. I was the guy with the allergic reaction at 10pm. Thank you for saving my life... The people there are human and treat you like you are human with lots of concern and care. I can tell they are their to help people not just doing a job to see that was amazing. They work 12 hour shifts and to see them bieng so kind at the end of their shift was like they had a real drive and love for their patients.

The nurses were not friendly and when I pushed the assistant for them to come they took a while to come. They are not well equipped either. They didn't have a handicap chair with an elevated leg rest. One day before my surgery they wrapped my leg with a cast and they moved my leg harshly when they knew my bone from my leg broke. I was in pain when she kept moving. It was a nightmare staying at that hospital. I really hope they the nurses treat their patients better

Honestly Garden Grove Hospital deserves more than these ⭐️. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are warming, caring, understanding and great teachers. I was scared in the ER on Fri and they were able to calm me and that speaks volumes. They answered my endless questions, told me what they were doing and what to expect. The nurses were attentive and patient I highly Recommend this Hospital!!!

The ER Dr was so kind and thorough. No rushing me out, he took care of me and I was ready to go within 20 min. Meds were already sent to the pharmacy, awesome!

Everything and everyone was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, the Dr's, attentive! The care nurses were sensitive, gentle and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be about the night time staff, they were very inconsiderate of the noise level talking, laughing treating the hallways like a break room!!

Every staff member was friendly and heard me out but Dr Ashkenaze is the rudest Dr I have ever been seen by. I was made out to be some kind of idiot for seeking help with my issue. I've had a good experience here before so I'm shocked to have been made cry for being concerned about my own well being. Even if she considered my issue to be minor, there's no justification for being treated this way.

went to the ER. travel RN was nice. i went in for a uti and a cough. gave them a urine sample it came back clean. didn't prescribe me any uti meds even though i was complaining and they knew i was in pain. . next day i'm in even more pain, called out of work and went and got a second opinion , update i have a terrible UTI. LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS WHEN THEY'RE EXPLAINING THINGS.

The hall experience. Was good. There were some mishaps. But understandable since some nurses were new. Male specially. But yhe was a athsmosphere of urgency and care in the air. Some nurses in intensive care made me feel comfortable and made the experience more aceptable. They answer my question. I was transported from intensive to another floor in a copule days. Here is were the experiencie went a little uncomfortable. The room I got was cold but cold. And let nurses know and they wouldnt listen 4 times a impated my discomfort because I coildnt rest the cleaning lady until 9 hours later listen and check thersmostate was set at 50 degrees she put itbat 68 wish I apeeciated . When release news came was well mannor and explain my condition and what to do. And what comes next. Once again as and overrall experience in emergency care and hospital was good. In this times short staff in every hospital is becoming standard since is a difficult to train and find thebapropiate nurses. Im time this will be a great hospital again. Just need to keep going .

I was admitted Sun. evening at approx 9:30-10:00 pm with a dislocated hip from a previous hip replacement 2 years ago, as the VA would not accept the ambulance. I was discharged at approx 2:30 am with my hip back in place! I wasn't given any last names, but I would like to comment the following people for their professionalism, kindness, empathy, knowledge & bedside manner: Kimberly, Peter, Sean, James, Titus, Jenny, Julie, Kim, Matt & Karla. They each had their own jobs to do & they performed those jobs with exceptionalism! As much pain as I was in, they made my experience of having to be there, go a lot more smoothly than other hospitals I've been in. I can only hope that if anyone else has to be admitted to this hospital, that they get the same team that I got! Sincerely, Corinne J. Irizarry aka Corinne J. Locher

I was taken to GG emergency room because my blood sugar was very low so low I was unconscious sitting in my vehicle at a fast food restaurant which I got food I knew I low. The next thing I was waking up in the hospital, there was a nurse. with me doing an excellent job explaining why I was there, in addition to that doing duties of a nurse. With my difficulties with my health in the last two decades I've been around a lot of hospital duties and this is the second time time atGGER I I feel very safe there. Thank You Garden Grove Hospital. .

4hr wait time for adult chickenpox in eye (you can go blind from them)just to be told that they dont see them as an emergency because thet dont see cases anymore. They appear to be chronically understaffed and that has caused lapses in care and organization and makes the whole department seem completely incompetent.

This emergency room was the worst I was literally arguing with the nurse who was taking my son vital signs. He didn’t understand that my son had autism and he had a hard time explaining to me what was hurting. The nurse was very unprofessional even the two security people had to come in to check out what was going on until one of them ask me what was the problem and I said my son has autism she step away. The security person understood so they left the nurse keep going so I told him to move on to a different question he was very persistent so he keep asking my son what was hurting not realize that my son was under pressure and overwhelmed by the situation. My son was so confused that he didn’t know what years we are in no parent and no child with mental illness should be going through this. What a disappointment now my son is so scared to get treatment due to the trauma he was put into.

I came in to the emergency room for a wrist problem possibly broken. The doctor's got x-ray,did a soft cast, gave me a blanket to warm me . I was in at 11:50 and out by 12:45 in the evening staff was always attentive to me. Very pleased with all.

My boyfriend was here. Had great service from the er to admittance. All the staff he encountered were helpful and friendly. However, every front desk person I encountered ( three people ) were short, curt, unfriendly, and in the last instance very rude. A security guard was at the front desk when I came to pick him up. No greeting or acknowledgment I was there. I had started to ask him a question " is it OK if I wait for a discharge here" just to be friendly and make my presence there known. He yelled at me to give him a minute. I was shocked to be yelled at like that. So I decided to wait by the wall for my boyfriend. When the guy was done he asked me what I needed and I told him I didn't need help from him. He then told me if I didn't need his help then I didn't need to be there and pointed to the door. I told him I did need to be there to pick up a discharge and that it was his help I didn't need. I left this hospital so upset at the rude service and encountersthese front desk people. The medical staff was wonderful...wishing tr itickled down to customer service.

My mother had a awful experience. They said they didn't have anyone that there that spoke Spanish, which doesn’t seem right to me since especially in a hospital you need to accommodate to any language . When finally someone that spoke spanish talked to her, my mother said they told her they wouldn't help her there if she didnt have a broken bone or something like that. We went to an urgent care instead and they gave her a steroid shot because it was a sort of allergic reaction. My mom is doing better now no thanks to this hospital .

Received great help and support from the team of staff during my visit today. Words cannot describe how I felt during the COVID-19 pandemic safety protocols that are put in place. Thank you everyone. Continue with your great job of caring for the sick and the injured!

The only good side from this emergency room is you’ll be in and out quickly. The rest of my experience was horrible. When I checked in Saturday night, they only ran a urine test on me and poked me a bit to diagnose me with muscle pain. Once I was diagnosed, they prescribed me cyclobenzaprine. 24 hours later, I was back in the emergency room at well known hospital and was diagnosed with a severe kidney infection. This hospital in comparison performed 6 different tests on me and was able to find the issue in which prescribed the proper medication.

I have been bringing my mother to this hospital for 20 over 20 years & I myself have been coming here to this hospital. Today I brought my mom again & had the worst experience. The whole staff was great but the security at the emergency room (tall, build hispanic) literally began harassing me & literally invading my space because my mom was not doing well at all & she wanted me to wait till she was brought in to emergency room. There was another family there. 2 adults & two kids. The security tried to explain something to me but could not understand what he was saying or simply could not explain their policy around waiting in the check in room.He left the other family alone but wanted me to leave after I had already being there 20-30 minutes. If I was there for 20-30 minute’s & no one said anything prior. I tried understanding him but he kept getting upset & getting in my personal space. I told him he made feel uncomfortable & then he Now I want you out. My poor sick mother was a witness on how this security was getting in my face as he wanted to hit me. Again I told him he made me feel uncomfortable. He kept getting upset & the other family’s husband told he would walk out instead of me because he saw my mother condition. Securities should not take a hostile position & it makes it worst when a family member is very sick. This security is a trouble maker. I am reconsidering where I will be going for medical service & most likely it will not be Garden hospital.
