Iconic lunch place, just had to go for a drive and come here and hopefully bump into Dom & Brian. The place was bumping, but it was very organized. Everyone was friendly, and having lunch next to the beach was something else. Ordered the sample platter with extra shrimps and everything on the plate was so good. Service was excellent and I just love the all you can grab condiments, didn't have to skimp on the tartar sauce and the hot sauce. I didnt drink Corona though I should have, but maybe next time.

Took a nice drive up PCH from L.A. to enjoy some good food by the ocean. The vibe is a super casual, flip flops, fresh off the beach ready to eat some good food, feel good style. Fish and chips platter was great! You get two large fish pieces with each order and the option to sub regular chips (fries) with chili cheese fries!!! Oysters and muscles from the fresh seafood side of the restaurant were delicious. Draft options are somewhat limited - only 2 beers on tap. But they have a large selection of canned and bottled craft beers and seltzers.

Came here for lunch with friends. Place was extremely busy... Yet the food came out far quicker than anticipated. If your a fish lover. This is the place for you. If you don't like fish they offer burgers and fries.... Fan favorite for locals and tourist.... Favorite place to stop for many motorcycle riders. I gurantee you won't be disappointed stopping here to eat. Only bad part you'll need too share a bench with other people... Place is Busy!

07/12/22: I visited Neptune’s Net while on vacation in SoCal. I was looking forward to trying this place and and was really disappointed. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Tuesday afternoon with most tables outside filled with guests. The inside tables were empty. The restaurant reminds of a typical dive type restaurant with little frills. You due get a view of the ocean along some of the outside tables. I ordered the Neptune’s Net sampler, clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, and grilled fish tacos to go. The food definitely wasn’t cheap. My bill was right over $100 with a tip. I didn’t have to wait very long for my food after ordering. Probably less than 10 minutes. All the seafood was dry and/or overcooked. The clam chowder was the best thing. I forgot to take a pic of the bread and chowder. It wasn’t a traditional New England style clam chowder. I think there was dill or some other herb that was prominent that made the chowder interesting. Maybe ordering to go wasn’t the best option and the food would have been better fresh.

Fresh sea food perfect for a beach day. Tons of parking up there PCH and in the lot. Always busy so be prepared to wait a little bit. Worth it. We got an order of little neck clams, steamed lobster, grilled fish tacos and fish n chips. All super fresh, flavorful and filling. Huge portions of fish n chips, be hungry. Will return.

I liked their food, style, and service so much. It's much better than other famous restaurants around here. Definitely come back again! The fish was fresh, salad was great and different (with carrots and onions), and the plate was big enough for the food. The dressing options are good. People working here are also so nice. I had a good time here. Also, there is enough parking space for cars and bikes.

I love this place! It's right across from the beach with views right from your table. A lot of fried seafood options and a big list of burgers. There's a fridge in the back with all kinds of tasty drinks including soda, beers, wine, and seltzer. Make sure you are actively looking for a table and claim it asap. Food is on the expensive side but it's fresh seafood and hefty portions. Parking is 5 dollars.

This place was an experience! You have to order and then get a table. The tables turnover pretty quickly you just have to keep a watch out. We got a table within 5 minutes of arriving but we were only 2 people. However, I did see larger tables become available quickly. The food itself was ok. I felt like our fish needed some seasonings but it did taste fresh. I think if you go here get the fried fish not the grilled plates. The toilets however are a MUST avoid. It is a porta-potty situation and therefore not pretty.

This place is such a gem. It’s fast it’s yummy. I would say the only downside are the porta potties, but it’s not that bad. We had the crab cake basket and fish and chips. The crab was good but the fish was amazing!

Great place to go for a nice no-frills lunch. The fried fish plate was good and a large portion, the shrimp tacos and fish tacos were excellent. We visited on a week day and it wasn't busy.

Fast service, fairly friendly. Seafood seems pretty fresh. Minimal vegetarian entree options (egg sandwich). The ambiance could be improved. If you don't want to be deafened by motorcyclists and barking dogs, try to sit inside.

The food is average. There's nothing above average about this place although the clam chowder was really fresh. You have to find your own seat. There are 3 lines, 1 for food, 1 for drinks and 1 for oysters. There's plenty of parking. The restrooms are portapotties in the back.

When visiting Malibu, always stop at Neptune's Net . We first discovered it from seeing a Fast and Furious movie, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker ( RIP) were eating there. We thought it would be cool to visit it. The food is great and so is the service. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The view is super. They have many options of seafood as well as drinks and alcohol. This time we ordered a Neptune's Sampler and it is plenty for 2-3 people. It comes with 2 fish 6 shrimp few other seafood items along with fries. If you come at the wrong time it could be long wait. Everytime we visit or pass by Malibu we always eat here. It has become a tradition. Thank you 😊👍🏻❤️

I wish could give this place negative stars. This is the worst fish I’ve ever had. From the fish and chips, the fish was despicable. I would be flabbergasted if this was not frozen fish. This is definitely not fresh.

Relaxing spot with nice views and plenty of delicious grub. Good beer selection in cooler as well. I got the fish tacos. Can quite easily get expensive but food is tasty and fresh. Fried sea-critter enthusiasts will be pleased.

Great place, ample parking. What can I say of the food? Nothing will describe it...you have to come and taste it for yourself: it is heavenly

A group of us rode up to Neptune's nest to have lunch and not only was it a great ride but it was great food as well. I had the shrimp tacos which are great but it was the sweet potato fries that really Hit the spot. They weren't soggy and they weren't burnt which is really difficult to do. I recommend stopping by iconic Neptune's nest if you've never been and will definitely be back.

Food and overall experience for those driving their sporty cars or bikes is such an amazing experience! With my S2000 and the crew, we came down PCH from LA and took the mountain roads back and the best of both worlds! The fish and chips were nothing special but filled me up! The tunna sandwich was really good and I'm not a big fan of tuna! Come!!! I really recommend this place! The hats at $15 as well!

The food was good. I ordered the Neptune Net Sampler. The view while eating my food in my truck across the street was even better.. Fun Fact: This place was featured in a few movies. The Iron man, Fast and The Farious, The Bachelorette..

Price = $18+ / service = average / cleanliness = average / porta potty bathroom / interior = beach shack, casual, wooden / parking = plenty at personal lot Ordered the Neptune's Net sampler for about $50. It comes with a portion of all the fried seafood that they offer from shrimp to fish and many more. With one of the best ocean views for a restaurant, Neptune's Net is a classic establishment that has been there for a long time. Personally for me, there was a scene in the first fast and the furious where Paul Walker and Vin Diesel and they're Supra racing Ferrari. It is one of the most classic lines in the movie. I would not recommend the sampler overall. Although you get a taste of each of the fried food and it may be an experience, I would hope there are better dishes than this. Not to say that it was terrible, but I rather have other dishes for how each of the items in the sampler was. There was anything special to each of these, it just tasted like fried food. Possibly a change in seasoning, marinade the food before frying, or even saucing the fried foods might be an alternative. The interior and area is a complete beach vibe given it is right next to the ocean. One of the best views for a restaurant. There is also a short walking trail in front of the restaurant where you can enjoy a leisurely walk to digest some of that food that you ate. In summary, I am uncertain if I would visit again. It may only be to take visitors for an experience of their own.

A great place to stop in Malibu away from the more crowded areas. This place still draws a crowd of its own but moves quickly! Affordable, fresh delicious fish with a view of the ocean and salty sea air, what’s not to love? The bathroom situation isn’t the best, would recommend using elsewhere if possible!

A very popular place, near Malibu county beach. They offer many selections and as someone with a seafood allergy, appreciate them keeping the kitchen separated. With that being said, they offer the BEST Hamburger I've ever had. The "must try" location in Malibu. It's also famous for being in Fast and Furious. Chris F was very kind and cute. Thanks for the excellent food and service. ☺️

Ordered fish and chips and fried shrimps with fries.. both were super delicious!! This place have their own parking outside and parking spot was readily available. You can enjoy your food right along the coastline looking at the waters. The portion is more than enough for one person.

The fried seafood was great and the water from the water station was good and cold tasting water which was what we needed. We had just came from a hike and was looking to have a good meal - and Neptune’s was suggested on the internet. It’s a self seating style and you order at the front and wait for your number to be called. The service was fast. They have a LARGE fridge of drink selections which is really nice, self serving water and sauce, napkins and sanitation station. They also have free saltines. We ordered the New England clam chowder in a bread bowl — which, the bread was definitely not fresh and felt a little stale and the clam chowder was thick. It was good but wasn’t stellar, if you’re comparing it to real clam chowder from New England (Boston, Maine, etc.) I would not recommend getting the clam chowder if you had the choice between that and the other selections. We also got fish and chips/ sweet potatoe fries substitution - they were great, and so were the triple sampler — fried shrimp, clams, calamari, and fries. They also had coleslaw but it wasn’t good. It was a delicious meal overall excluding the sourdough chowder bowl and coleslaw. Definitely a vibe here! It’s also next to county line beach so if you wanted to you could take out food and bring it across the street to eat.
