This place comes under the Bhagamandala forest range. The road to the place was under construction when we went and so it was slightly back-breaking experience ;) This place has a great view for mountain lovers and a fresh cool breeze. There is a room to leave the sandals near the entrance as you cannot wear them up the stairs to the temple. There is a dress code to visit the temple. I have attached a picture of allowed dress types for men, women and kids. You will not be allowed to enter the temple if you are not wearing these. There are shops nearby where you can purchase and wear the allowed dresses, just in case. We went during the end of December and the view point near the temple was temporarily closed due to COVID restrictions. So, if you are going for that then, confirm before travelling till there as it's a bit far from the city.

Passed through the GTNP en route to Talakaveri immediately after COVID unlock process. We took the route via Panathur and it is one of the best routes to ride if you are in North Kerala. The forest is thick and the road curvy and small, but the view at either side of the road is amazing and you will get very little traffic to bother about. We stopped a lot to click photos and enjoy the occasional waterfall and just to experience nature as it is. You can also go upto Coorg from Bhagamandala easily. Next time you are going to Coorg, try the Kanhangad-Panathur-GTNP route!

This was just an awesome experience and I would recommend everyone who is visiting Coorg to visit this place. The rainwater drizzling with various speed and the foggy weather which would find you of perfect serenity you would have ever imagined. The temple gives you the purity and also the flavour of godliness. You will find peace here.

Talacauvery, the birth place of Kodagina Kaveri. The place is decked in the lovely western ghats and has a breathtaking view. It's a nature lover paradise and your chance to offer obeisance to mother nature. The govt has done a great job in maintaining this place and its trulywonderful to spend some quiet time. I reached past 1 pm and couldn't get darshan in the temple as it was closed till 2:30 pm. Managed to get prasadam.. laddu and khajjaya that was yum. Talakaveri is just out of the world and an escape from mundanes of th city.

Very divine and empowering place surrounded by positivity of mother nature. Frequent visitors are from neighbouring states with I don't give a damn attitude. Litter everywhere, throw plastic plastic bags, bottles. Thanks to you guys, one of the beautiful view point on top of talacavery is closed because tourist come here to drink alcohol and create nuisance. Shame on u guys. When there is flood no one wants to help however u guys want heavy rainfall in coorg so that u people can enjoy holy water for all your needs. Disgrace to mankind..

Thala Cauvery is a stunning and serene location that I had the pleasure of visiting for the fourth time last month. It is truly remarkable how nature is brimming with marvels and hidden treasures. This is exemplified by the humble beginnings of the Cauvery River, which originates from a small, unassuming place yet flows into a magnificent and expansive river. It reminds me of the age-old adage that emphasizes the power of accumulation, where even the tiniest drops of water can culminate into a vast and mighty ocean.

Simply a divine and solace place in this vicinity. Visit to this place is a must. Suitable for aged persons, adults and children. Timing: Early morning, to enjoy the full bliss and divinity, as it gets crowded later. Road: Road condition is good and not very steep, requires moderate driving skills as road gets Foggy at times. Commute: Public Transport is available, you can also drive your care or hire a cab/Jeep from Madikeri town. Entry Ticket: None Attire: Traditional and decent attires are only allowed in temple. Parking: Available: uneven terrain parking, be careful.

Beautiful place (no specific spots but the entire jungle) but crowded on weekdays , one should try the road from here to Kasaragod, its full of scenic beauty. But do mind you will not get any petrol pump for next 50/60 kms.
