The Maiden Tower is a 12th-century monument in the Old City of Baku. One fable of the tower is that the emperor had the tower built to lock up his daughter as there was a prophesy that she would be killed by to a poisonous snake on her eighteen birthday. There is no consensus on the actual reason for the construction of the tower. There is a fee to get to the top of the tower

Good spot to learn about the history of Baku. Good views at the top. Although 15AZN for non locals seemed a bit much being three times the price.

Overrated. Nothing to see in here. Beautiful stairs but the most display are empty. The price for foreigners is 15 manat. Very expensive for this one. The most beauty is on the top. You can buy one tickets for 4 museums with 36 manat only. Exactly near the tower is very nice location of the old market.

Maiden Tower is an old construction tower of Old Baku city. There is a ticket of 15 Manat for foreigners which seems to be a bit on higher side because it's just a 360 degree view of Baku City on the top. Some small weapons and old history displayed on the walls of the stairs when one goes up stairs. One can skip this place on the visit if old Baku city and have a walk around of the city as well. Very well maintained, neatness and cleanliness is over all observed here.

Historic and beautiful. The Maiden Tower houses a museum, which presents the story of the historic evolution of Baku city. It also has a gift shop. The view from the roof takes in the alleys and minarets of the Old City, the Baku Boulevard, the house of Isa bek Hajinski, and a wide vista of the Baku Bay.

Ticket costs 15 Mannat/person, then you can go upstairs on the tower till the top. Personally, I didn’t find it very fascinating. A few old historic ornaments, armour and different stuffs. Placed over different floors of the tower, with steep stairs. At the roof, you ll find a 360• panoramic view of Baku. You can skip this monument! Unless you are interested in reading history of Baku.

👍👍 Ismailia Palace. Behind the beauty of the palace lies a sad story. Baku millionaire oil industrialist Musa Nagiyev built the building in memory of his son Ismail, who died young from tuberculosis. The palace took 5 years to build, and the work was completed in 1913. The style of the building is Vene...
