(Translated by Google) At the National Museum of Art where over eight thousand exhibits are kept, paintings, graphics, sculptures and applied art are exhibited. More than 2,000 exhibits are kept in the third building. There is also a passage corridor that was opened in 2013 to create a centralized entry between the existing buildings of the Azerbaijan National Art Museum. The building is a historic architectural monument, where architecture is used both ampir and baroque styles. Specially designed mirrors, lamps and furnaces give this space a pleasure. The museum also features examples of world art. According to the exposition plan, the collection is comprised of Western Europe, including Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, France, as well as the Eastern art, including Russia and China, Turkey, Iran and India. For the first time, the new exposition includes the ancient world art: ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Rome and ancient Iranian art. In addition, for the first time in French halls it is possible to see works of French impressionists. Besides, the exposition of the museum will have an opportunity to watch the avant-garde tile products and works along with the Russian avant-garde. (Original) On səkkiz mindən çox eksponatın saxlanıldığı Milli İncəsənət Muzeyində rəngkarlıq, qrafika, heykəltaraşlıq və tətbiqi sənət nümunələri nümayiş olunur. Üçüncü korpusda isə 2 mindən çox eksponat saxlanılır. Azərbaycan Milli İncəsənət Muzeyinin mövcud binaları arasında mərkəzləşdirilmiş giriş yaratmaq üçün 2013-cü ildə açılışı olan keçid korpusu da var. Bina memarlığın həm ampir, həm də barokko üslublarının istifadə edildiyi tarixi memarlıq abidəsidir. Xüsusi sifariş edilmiş güzgülər, çıraqlar və sobalar bu məkana gözəllik verir. Muzeydə dünya incəsənəti nümunələri də nümayiş etdirilir. Ekspozisiya planına əsasən kolleksiyanı Qərbi Avropa, o cümlədən İtaliya, Hollandiya, Almaniya, Fransa, həmçinin Rusiya və Çin, Türkiyə, İran və Hindistan da daxil olmaqla Şərq incəsənəti təşkil edir. İlk dəfə olaraq yeni ekspozisiyada qədim dünya incəsənəti də təqdim olunur: buraya qədim Misir, qədim Yunanıstan, qədim Roma və qədim İran incəsənətləri daxildir. Bununla yanaşı, ilk dəfə olaraq Fransa zallarında fransız impressionistlərin əsərlərini görmək mümkündür. Bundan başqa, muzeyin ekspozisiyasında Rusiya avanqardı ilə yanaşı, avanqard çini məmulat və əsərləri də seyr etmək imkanı olacaq.

A must see for art lovers in Baku. Each floor is elegantly housed to art collections from around the world, as well as a vast collection dedicated to Azerbaijan history and culture. Dutch, German, and French art collection is simply breathtaking

10 AZN entry for foreigners, cash no cc accepted. An extra 2 AZN for a separate short Chinese exhibit. Three floors of art, the bottom floor mostly European artists, Italian and Dutch. Upper floor statues and paintings from local artists mostly from the middle of last century. A number of carpets, various artifacts throughout. I spent a good hour and some there. The building is nice, oddly there didn't seem to be anywhere to sit and ponder some the artwork. The beautiful garden with a fountain adjacent to this building is an excellent place to relax after.

Good collection, but experiencing it is greatly spoiled by a member of staff following your every step. After 20 minutes of being watched and followed, I just wanted to ask if they thought I was going to steal or lick something? Then another 10 minutes later I just wanted to leave. Most anxiety filled museum experience I've ever had.

Expensive 10 arz per person. Without tour or mic you will not find any explanation next to the artefacts to they kind force you to go for a guide option that is 5 or 8 extra. Of you want to take pictures that is 5 arz extra what is CRAZY

(Translated by Google) It is one of the important museums of Azerbaijan, which was created by combining two neoclassical buildings built in the 19th century with a modern glass entrance, located in the central location in Baku. I would like to thank Ms. Hatice, the manager who provided me a philanthropist, and Nergis, who accompanied me. In the first building, there are paintings, sculptures and other works of Azerbaijan while in the second building, there are paintings and sculptures and other works of other countries. However, I must say that I find works very poor in the room devoted to Turkey.

Formerly rich french De Bure mansion. In soviet time there lived Mir Jafar Bagirov- then lider of Az SSR.I remember him -met him first time when I was child .We- little group of kids playing in war games near future government house built by german prisoners and throw stones to each other. When black limousine ZIM stops nearly and man with glasses get out of car and told us:what you doing here kids? He looked so scary so we just run away. Later we seen his picture on local newspaper and realize that it was local Stalin-Mir Jafar Bagirov. Some people call him "kor kishi".

founded in 1936. it's the largest museum in Baku, featuring works of ancient art from as early as the 4th century. spread across 3 floors, the 3000+ exhibits from Russia, Europe, Persia, China, Turkey, and Japan are all very well presented & maintained. there are several staff members who help at every step & constantly on the lookout for safety concerns due to thefts in the past (albeit this may be an annoyance for a few). entry fee starts as low as 10 mannat, and you may need between 2 to 4 hours to cover the entire space.

Pros: Interesting artifacts, not a busy museum which allows you space to explore, inside a beautiful building in a beautiful area of the city Cons: So many bizarre things I have not encountered at any other museum. First of all, I visited during a very warm day in August. They didn't have AC on and even on the thermosats visible in several rooms, you'd see the temperature was at least 26 degrees. You have to pay extra to take photographs and as I opted out of that, I was followed from room to room by attendants who watched me the entire time, which was extremely uncomfortable. At one point, one of these young women was watching videos on her phone while in the room with me which was obviously distracting. But worst of all: the woman's bathroom (there's only 1 on the first floor) was like something out of a horror film. Dirty, out-dated, poor lighting. I never wanted to get out of somewhere faster – and yet I heard, the men's bathroom is fine. What kind of misogyny is that? This could be a great museum, a gem in the city, but all of these cons need to be fixed first. Please take this review seriously so as to not ruin the experience for other tourists.

Even though it was overstaffed, I had to wake up the person in the front desk to buy the pricy ticket. The staff will sometimes follow you around, not sure if because it was empty or to “guide” you around, but it was kinda uncomfortable. Overall, it wasn’t bad. I was more interested in seeing Azerbaijani art which took a little bit to find as the place is bigger than I thought. The local art and history they have in the upper floors was interesting and I enjoyed it.

(Translated by Google) The pictures are beautiful but the service is not. It all started with the fact that I came to the museum and showed a student to get a ticket for 5 manat. They told me that my document was not suitable and I can buy a regular entrance ticket for 10. I agreed, and after that the cashier pulled out a ticket with a torn spine from under the table on which the date was set - 02/05/2020. When I asked why someone had issued me a ticket almost a week ago on February 9, the cashier innocently answered that "the equipment is not working, take this one." Work fine, comrades. This fact will be surely transferred to the museum management. Well, the work of the staff that walks and watches you on the heels of "all the time" was "pleased" for quite two hours - quite annoying, to be honest. I really don’t need your copies of Raphael + cameras and alarms are everywhere. In short, an excellent collection, but the impression was completely ruined. Photos of tickets "second freshness" I will attach as evidence.

(Translated by Google) A chic museum with a large collection of European (originals and copies), Russian and Oriental art. Especially much attention is paid to the national Azerbaijani art, which is natural. The wardrobe works, and the ticket price is quite democratic (the main exposition is 2 buildings, 10 manat, photography - 5 manat). Of the minuses - a terminal for non-cash payments that works intermittently (in general, in Baku, it is advisable to always carry some amount with you in cash, as non-cash often stops working) (Original) Шикарный музей, где собрана большая коллекция европейского (оригиналы и копии), русского и восточного искусства.
