You go for the experience. The service is meh and can be very slow but all the staff are very friendly. But the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is magical and makes this restaurant worth visiting. The meat, mangal and fish were great.

This is more of a museum than a good restaurant. The maze like building heavily decorated with artifacts, mirrors, statues, ... Is quite a site to visit. The live music was also quite good and nostalgic. Four stars for the space and decor. But the food and service was lacking and needs improvement. Our food didn't arrive together and the guy said because fried food takes longer instead of apologizing! There is no excuse for someone food arriving 10 minutes later than others. The fish we ordered was dry and not hot enough. The price was reasonable. Overall the space makes it worthwhile to try this place out.

This restaurant is one of the best places in Baku. The impressive and indescribable beauty of its traditional decoration and it’s food choices and quality of it are just outstanding. You will bet lost in different rooms and parts of the restaurants with different treasures inside. The word Museum really has its meaning for this place Definitely place to visit when in Baku.

I went with a group of friends expecting a good time; it is a famous place after all. I could not regret it more, do not get me wrong, the site's aesthetic is lovely. It feels like an ambiguous ethnic mansion. We were asked to sit in a hidden room in the corner of the restaurant for no real reason, we asked a couple of times if we could change seats, but they never showed us a different table (even if they had free tables in the central room). The worst part was when they gave us an undercooked piece of chicken, we gave it one bite, and I want to emphasise this, ONE Bite. This was enough to reject our request to remove that dish from our bill. Absolutely ridiculous. When have you heard of a restaurant fighting three guests over the quality of a dish? The manager was rude, and he straight away told us he was not going to deduct it from our bill. We were a group of three non-white guests, so one might wonder if the reason behind such treatment was plain racism. Ironically we all work in top firms in our sectors, so money was not the problem. Never in my right mind will I advise anyone to go to this place if you want to go for the aesthetic, order a tea and a dessert and go and get some decent food in an authentic restaurant.

Great place and amazing vibes, the food is delicious as well. Mr. Murad is the unique addition to the place, he is so welcoming, kind, and nice. We came from a far place and he is was very helpful. Thank you for this amazing experience!

Wow! What an amazing experience. I strongly recommended this place to anyone who visits Baku. Yes, it is on the expensive side, but you're paying for both the restaurant and the museum. You're probably going to enjoy the museum more especially if you're of Turkic background. I tried their red wine and it was awesome. The food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection and tea along with walnut jam was a perfect end to the whole experience. Only downsides were that the staff at the museum followed us everywhere we went as if we were going to steal something, so I'm taking one star for that. Also, you sort of have to give them tips every time you visit which was a bit annoying. I have removed one star for each of these issues, so hopefully they notice and do something about it.

If you like to order a well-done or avercooked steak when you go to a steakhouse resturant then this resturant is suitable for you. I dont know how the people are recommending it. I have asked the server for the best dishes and he brought literally the worst in the menu. I am giving it two stars just because of the atmosphere and price range.

A must visit restaurant if you are looking for a fine dining experience with the blend of a vintage feel. The restaurant interior is designed with vintage cutleries and traditional pots which you can see almost everywhere. The food was good and the meat quality was superb. You will have to get a prior booking for a seat or will have to wait. If visiting by car the valet guys ask for cash tip which I found awkward.

I just reached the restaurant. Unfortunately they offer me private room becuase there is dress code and not allowing children under 15 years old to sit on hall. I was so shocked this wasn't mentioned on there page.

Good place , however versus the reviews place is normal, food quality is good but comparing to similar local cuisine there is better. Prices higher than usual with no difference in quality. Being like museum is the only point and it is a kind of usual Staff could be more friendly, you don't feel that much welcomed specially if you start touring around and takes pictures If you are still visiting the place you better book and choose second floor , first floor ambience is quite boring. I believe there is better places in Baku for lower budget and better ambience

The two stars is just for behavior of rude staff!! We went there for dinner and live music. Foods were amazing but the top waiter was SO RUDE! We asked him for better place to seat but he raised his voice and behaved unappreciately. I understand the restaurant is busy but he should understand to respect his customers. The two stars is just for his behavior!!! He had conflict with other customers also! I don't know his name but his pic. But the rest of staff was friendly and professional! They tried to manage the situation and offered us a tour of the restaurant! I hope the rude waiter reconsider his behavior!

Great food, great interior, great atmosphere with live music. The waiters were really nice and polite too, I really like Kenan, we was very nice and suggested great dishes. The dolma was really good too. I think it would need a reservation for dinner. I really like my experience and I would definitely come back.

The place is unique and amazing. It’s worth visiting. The food also didn’t disappoint. However, it took 15 min to wait until the waiter will come up and take an order. Overall, I had a good experience with that restaurant. Probably the best interior of the restaurant in the city.

This place is really really worth a visit! You might want to make a reservation if you have a chance. It’s a beautiful building decorated very very elaborately - candelabras on tables! Maybe one of the coolest restaurants I have ever experienced. Live musicians in each main dinning area (it’s big). Delicious food! Staff spoke English and were very helpful (our waiter was lovely) except there was one odd encounter before we left. We walked to the restaurant from our hotel and planned to return the same way. Upon leaving the restaurant, one of their staff asked if we needed a taxi and said no. we were staying and said that the ride would only be 10 manats with the restaurant taxi. I know….long story short these situations usually end up weird and before we knew it another guy appeared and opened the taxi door for us and was asking for a tip. He seemed to be with the hotel staff. He didn’t get what he hoped for. The taxi driver took us right to our hotel for that price but who was “that other guy?” This restaurant is located on one of the oldest streets in Baku (from the info on their menu - if it’s correct). When we were walking there the neighborhood just seemed way too residential for this large of a restaurant….but it’s there! I guess the residential neighborhood grew up around it. I don’t know Baku well or this neighborhood but we never felt unsafe so far walking around so I think a walk to your hotel or place of stay after dinner here is feasible but it’s always best to check with a local. I did today and he seemed to emphasize the safety of Baku. But don’t get robbed or something on the street walking after dinner here and blame me. Be safe! P.S. The bathrooms are cool here too. Once I found out how to turn on the light for the main area of the ladies bathroom - switch in on the bottom left portion of the wall as you enter (I guess they were saving electricity?) I then was not able to find the light in the stall…thank goodness for the flashlight feature on the iPhone! Thou has saved many of us in weird life situations! Overall I won’t let the weirdness ruin the overall experience but I wanted to let others know.

The restaurant design is quite nice and probably is the best feature of it. Regarding the food, was well cooked but nothing out of the extraordinary and I consider pricey for what it delivers. As for the staff, they do not speak English, only finding 2 people there able to speak a bit abd not that much. We had to use Google Translate in order to get information about the dishes they cook. They should have English menu.

Huge restaurant offering delicious local dishes in a beautiful setting. Heaven for meat lovers! The manager even gave us a guided tour of the restaurant in English.

Restaurant is also museum)))they have different thematic rooms , each with distingushed history and decoration. For example room demonstratung soviet union period kitcen. An other room demonstrates cosy living room of oil billioner etc. Local food is served here and live music available . Also they have special halls where you can have small banquets like birthday parties and enjoy your music as well. Menu prices seem normal but portions are small . Also i reccoment to check the bill before paying

Although the show was very nice and the singer was amazing. The food was not up to the standard. I dunno whether this was due to the presence of a large group, or that’s the type of food they offer. I had to go and eat fast food as i was really hungry.

Only good thing about the waiters were their fancy outfits. Service was so late, many menu options were not available. Waiters were behaving like the they wanted to be sure that we would never visit there again. Big congrats to their effords I won't.

I really felt like walking through a museum and dinning there. great service, live music, good food options. If visiting Baku put this on your list.

Lovely traditional restaurant, must go.

One of the best restaurants that I visited in Baku. The design is really like in a museum, everything is very beautiful and seasoned in one style. Even the toilet is very nice and very tidy, which cannot be said of many other restaurants. The menu is very rich, a huge selection. we stayed on mutton ribs and did not regret it, a huge portion for three. great service. Our waiter helped us with the choice. Had a great evening. There were musicians with national instruments. Paid 60 manats per person.

Service was phenomenal, such attentive and helpful staff. Made everyone feel so special. Food was delicious and at a very reasonable price. Atmosphere was perfect downstairs for dinning and talking and then upstairs for tea and more of a vibrant atmosphere, both having live music. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a traditional experience.

It used to be good, however the service and the food has become terrible! If you want to be frustrated, do not hesitate to come here. I ordered kebap they served kidney!

The Atmosphere and place were great. Food was nice but lamb chops were a little bloody. Service, service is terrible. The waiter served us was late whenever we asked for something even for spoons!! when one of the orders was very late (+40m) he brought it and we told him to cancel it cuz we already finished eating and even washed hands. He just came and left it on the table and said “no cancel” !! I clearly mentioned that we’ll not pay for it and asked for the bill and he lift us waiting for about 15 minutes just to bring the bill!! I ended up not paying for it but still that ruined our night with the family. The waiters shall be more professional with customers.
