The building of the Museum Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic is located in the very center of Baku, on the Seaside Boulevard; it was constructed in 1960 in a project led by outstanding Azerbaijani architect Hasan Majidov to commemorate the 90th anniversary of V.I.Lenin and was opened in 1961 as a branch of the Moscow Lenin Museum. Hasan Majidov also realised a number of other projects in Azerbaijan – the Baku airport building in Bina, the Hotel Baku, the Drama Theatre in Nakhchivan and others. In 1991, following the collapse of the USSR, by decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic the building was transferred to the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan Republic and renamed the Museum Center. Director of the Museum Center of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic – Vazirova Liana.

What an amazing place located just at the centre of Baku! Near to sahil metro, Targovy, Malakan and Boulevard. Easy to enter. 5 storey building with full of exponents and 3 different museums which wait for you to visit. Visited Istiglaliyyat and musical museums, which I didn't find attractive. Kind old place. Which needs a bit of reconstruction. Such a building located in the centre of Baku but unfortunately not that much fashionable from the inside. Yet for local people I highly recommend to visit. For foreigners, outside is okay for u

A beautiful building located in Neftchilar Avenue reminding ancient Greek architecture with columns. There's also a large and very nice fountain in Seaside Boulevard across the street. If you stand so that the fountain and the museum center will remain behind you when it is dark in the evening, you will shot amazing photographs 📸

(Translated by Google) The building of the former Lenin Museum. Now there is a museum of musical instruments (for 5+) and a museum of independence (for 3). The cost of entry to each museum is 5 manat, you can take pictures. From the center, there is a beautiful view of the seaside boulevard and the sea, although it’s not so easy to get to them: you can cross the road with heavy traffic or go back or forward along Neftchilik Avenue to underground passages and traffic lights.

Museum has a decent history exhibit but if you speak English, there is literally only one room with English signs. You'll have to get a guide to get anything out of your visit.

Very beautiful Soviet building. The Independence Museum, National Instrument Museum, and National Theater Museum are located here. The admission prices are all less than 2-3azn, I believe. It's definitely worth checking out, but hard to understand if you go without an Azerbaijani or Russian speaker. It's possible there are English tours, but I am not sure.
