As a couple, we booked a family room with a balcony for our stay in Baku. However, upon arrival, we were given a standard room without prior notice. When we raised the issue with the reception, they informed us that they did not have any family rooms available. We had paid an additional $54 for the family room, and we were disappointed to receive a standard room instead. The hotel had advertised breakfast and a kitchen, but the kitchen only served a limited number of dishes. The facilities were poor as the internet did not work, and the TV did not function. There was no iron in the rooms, and only one iron was available for the whole hotel. The power plugs did not work, the rooms were small, and there were no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or water bottles. The hotel's only positive aspect was its location and the staff's welcoming and humble nature. Despite the issues, the staff did an amazing job.

I don't understand how it is rated as 4Star Hotel, the facilities are very poor which doesn't meet the requirement of 4*. 1. They can't afford extra water bottles for customers. 2. Very bad smell in rooms. 3, Rooms are very very small. 4. on the first day they gave me a ground floor room, where there are no Bidet showers in the washroom. 4. AC & TV remotes are not workings 5. 2 Good things, it is near to City center and Nizami Street 6. Breakfast is Good. 7. Hotel is having a coffee shop and SPA. Please don't believe in Booking.com ratings.

Average hotel ... offers some nice antique rooms ( even though they look better in photos than in reality ) .. service is average...most people are not smiling ...and some do ... I ended up moving to another hotel during my trip ...with better service and facilities ... location is good though

This is a nice hotel in the center of Baku. The staff is very helpful, rooms are ok unless you book a quiet one.

We had a good stay and staff was very attentive. Excellent location and kids will love the duplex family room. Just keep in mind the floor area is a bit smaller than it appears in the photos, but it's adequate if you plan on spending most of your time out of the hotel exploring. They will get 5 stars if they fix bathroom ventilation.

I stayed at this hotel recently and found it to be quite average. The furniture is a bit outdated, but the location is excellent—within walking distance from the old town. The staff was friendly, making it a convenient choice if you're not specifically looking for luxury accommodations.

Hotel did not accept credit card on our arrival. We had to go to an ATM to withdraw cash. We had a reservation for 3 nights and They alloted us a different room than booked upon our arrival and asked us to change rooms the next day which was a hassle with family and kids. The rooms are not maintained well. Bathroom was stinking and the bidet was broken in both the rooms alloted to us. The breakfast was basic and even the utensils were missing. Out group had a total of 4 rooms and all of us had similar experience. The location is good, which is nearby to old town, Nizami street. However, no parking is available or allowed in front of the hotel as it's nearby a ministry. So we had trouble in having the tour van pick us up from the hotel. No housekeeping service during our stay.

We stayed here for 6 days. Rooms are very good, location is just perfect. Just 100 meter to city centre and old town. Also 5 minute to metro station by walking.i can advise everyone.

Location was great. Our booked rooms were not deluxe antique rooms, even though we had paid for those. Other than that the service was great. The hotel's location was excellent.

Location is good, staffs speaks English which is very good. If any complaints raised like hot water issues, A/C issues, etc will never be sorted out timely which is unacceptable. Need improvement.

The hotel is in a great location, as Fountain Square is within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful but when we wanted to check out, the receptionist tried to lay the blame at out door for the blood stain to fine us 100 manats that we had seen on the bed sheet on the first day as soon as we entered the room and they had changed it that day. That was the only unpleasant experience that we had in this hotel.

Ideally located, safe place for families and solo travelers. Had good breakfast options and is located at walking distance to major Baku attractions.

Fair advise to not stay in the rooms located on the ground floor. Location is nearby Nizami street, 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is below average. Don't expect good level of customer service.

Passage Boutique Hotel in Baku exceeded all my expectations. The staff was warm and attentive, the facilities top-notch, and its location near Nizami Street was convenient. The massage and spa services were rejuvenating, and the breakfast spread was impressive. Highly recommended!

1.0 Disliked · The hotel experience was extremely poor. There was a lack of communication between morning and night shift staff, leading to issues with service and safety. The staff were aggressive, including entering our room without permission and increasing the price upon arrival. The hotel had a bad smell and did not feel safe. Additionally, it was misleadingly advertised as a hotel when it was actually a hostel. We were threatened with eviction and had difficulty communicating with the police due to language barriers. Overall, I strongly advise against staying at this establishment due to cleanliness and safety concerns. they didn't send the staff to clean the room.

Highly non-sense and cheap hotel Wondering how they claimed it is a 4-Star hotel where i will not mark it more than 1-Star Very strange they charge me 20 Manat bcoz i cleaned my shoe with towel 😬 Very disappointed and will never recommend anyone to come this place. Breakfast is like a joke. If you still book i wish you a best of luck

A perfect hotel with nice and supportive staff! The breakfast is amazing and the price is fair. The location is good, 5 min walking to fountain square! Highly recommended!👌👌 I brought a tour to Baku and I am writing on be half of 15 people: Very polite and supportive staff who helped us with everything with Smile! Perfect location, near to the city center, less than 5 min walking to Fountain square. Super clean, convenient & cozy rooms. Breakfast was really good, yummy with fair options to choose, and breakfast timing was amazing! (8:00 to 12:00!) Good value for the money you pay and I think next time I will choose this hotel to stay in Baku with my next tour! Thanks for everything and hope to see you again!

A decent hotel, with smiling and helpful staff in the centre of Baku. Its proximity to the centre and old town and its ambience for sure justify its prices. Adequate european breakfast served, with eastern hints and tastes. Noise can result a problem sometimes, especially during night. There was always hot water and someone in the lobby or reception to help you out.

Thumbs up to this hotel and their staff. Very accommodating and polite staff in the reception, housekeeping and restaurant. Breakfast is good. Location is near old town and supermarkets. The room was cleaned properly and toiletries were changed. I recommend tourists to stay in this place.

Nice hotel located quite central with very friendly service. We were welcomed warmly like a welcome guest and got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The room was nice and modern. There was free water not only in the room but also available on the floor. Even though we stayed only one night we got two breakfasts (since we checked in early) and even our room was cleaned twice. The breakfast consists of a small basic buffet and a complimentary a la cart menu with eggs, sandwiches etc. They accepted credit cards and spoke English. I recommend this hotel!

Very nice hotel. Clean and in good condition. Perfect location. Decent breakfast. Very nice staff. They also helped arrange a tour for us outside of Baku which we enjoyed. The 4 star is only due to a mix up with our reservation with them not taking note of the type of rooms we requested but which was addressed the next day.

Great Hotel in the center of BAKU (Fabulous-Marvelous -impressive) Great Hotel in BAKU. Easy walk to the town center with enough distance away from the noise and crowd. In the center of everywhere so make it easy for getting around anywhere in Baku. Addition to that the hotel is surrounded by many restaurants with different cuisine make this hotel rank right on top. Beautiful building. Extraordinarily attentive staff. Felt like returning home every time I returned to the hotel. World-class property. Beautiful Hotel in an outstanding location. Elegant in every respect. Great Art, spectacular flowers and terrific views everywhere with an excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are large and very comfortable comparing to other hotels, spacious and well-appointed rooms. What really sets this property apart from other hotels is that it is in outstanding location, charming staff; they have the knowledgeable of everything, multi-lingual and ready to serve specially MR.Azer Mustafayev , Mr. Jamal Lutfalibekov & MR.Perviz Qasimov ) Finally, I would like to recommend this hotel for anyone who want to a peace of mind and relaxes.

Don't be fooled by Booking rating. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It is a 4 star rated, but I wouldn't give it over 2 stars. We were booked for twin bedroom, but it looked more like a grave!

they didn't tell me they were gonna charge me for early check in and just told me to pay when I left, it was almost as much as what I paid for the room. if I had known, I would've just left my luggage and went to explore the town. the receptionist who helped me with check in didn't speak English at all, told me the wrong time for breakfast. whatever we asked for wasn't done. they had water dispensers on each floor and it was empty, we told them twice, still wasn't refilled. multiple guys sit at the reception during the daytime but if you have a request or concern, every one of them says it's someone else's problem and in the end no one actually tries to help you. Wi-Fi is spotty. when it's not working and you ask the staff, again it's not their problem and they don't know when it'll be fixed. no hot food provided at breakfast unless you ask the staff specifically for an omelette. the location was great, walking distance to the main pedestrian area with lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops. decorations give you a castle feel inside (but only inside). large signs on the outside wall so it's easy to see from a distance. breakfast is available until noon.
