Very poor beds! I literally slept on metal springs not a mattress! I know it is cheap but still at least a good bed is worth to have.

Pros : Hotel is clean, Rooms are big. amazing staff and excellent Location. In the heart of Baku and every attractions in walkable distance. Many restaurants near to this which is added advantage. Cons : Shower is not so good, and Breakfast can be improved.

It was a great choice for our stay. Close enough to walk to many things. Desk staff was most helpful when one of our bags didn't make it until the next night.

Location is great. And the value of the money, excellent. The hotel is kind of basic and old, but the beds are comfortable (mattress kind of hard, but I prefer hard rather than soft) Breakfast is ok. So for the money, the value is good.

This was the hotel offered by the tour package provider. Even though this is located close to the city center, the stay in hits hotel is one of the worst experience we had. We took two rooms one for my family and another one for our friend's family. We checked in at 3 am and in one of the rooms no lights were working , it was completely dark. The other room doesn't have a working AC. Also the rooms have a unpleasant fragrance. The response of the supporting staff was worse, there were not ready to come check the issues. It took so long to convince them as they can't speak English fluently. The next day we complained and the tour package company offered another hotel, name a 4 * hotel, called as Pegas hotel which was horrible than this one...! Its better you choose a * hotel from chain of star hotel groups... At lease thee are basic services and options are guaranteed.

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location near Fountain Square and the car parking. Furthermore it is old, tired, dirty, the four stars are bought through corruption, breakfast is from yesterday's products, electrics are simply dangerous, just one room has the view of Fountain Square and the Flames (room 422) but here the floor gives in and the elevator doesn't work often because of power failures. No service. No maintenance, just getting money. Find another hotel !!!! The souvenir shop across is Xari BülBül. Skip that as well. They cheat on you, same way as they do at the MUM departement store close to it. I was glad they holiday was over and I could leave this barbarian country with it's corruption and cheating. I will never return here.

Ascot Hotel is located in the centre Baku. Cafés Restaurants and other attractions, like Boulevard arr right in the vicinity. The personnel are very friendly supportive, the breakfast is fresh. The rooms are clean and tidy as well as the rest of the Hotel.many thanks:)

Booked the hotel via booking.com and surprise, surprise we actually had a booking when we got there. Baku is notorious for hotels who 'never receive your booking' or have some urgent issue due to which you need to be moved to another hotel. Check in was bumpy because the staff hardly speaks any English. The rooms are old and the beds are not as comfortable I would like them to be after a hard day of being a tourist. The breakfast is charming and delicious. Muslim travelers be ware! Non halal food is casually served along side halal food. Please ask before you eat any cold cuts because nothing is labelled. The hotel does get top marks for location though. It's a couple of minutes away from Nizami Street and the Old City. Also, you can't bring guests to visit you. They will make everything super awkward and embarrassing. But might take money and let it slide.

I was very tired and wanted to take a break after the tour all day, but when I arrived at the hotel, they said I hadn't booked a room even though my tour agent had booked and paid for my room. So I had to wait longer in the reception room for this problem

Ideal situated in the city. Very good breakfast. Unfortunately some room can be very noisy... air conditioning systems in the street too loud...
