Price for locals is 5 manat, for students is 2 manat, for foreigner is 10 manat. All in all,its more about local literature,it can be interesting if you read about it. I liked exposition about poets . Stuff was so nice, they explained me everything, just pity that its prohibited take photo there

(Translated by Google) When it comes to dispersal, we pass by this building straight away (a statue with a statue at the entrance to the Old City) and most of us don't even know what building it is. I did not know, and every time I said, "What's in the eye?" As you can tell, our literature has a history. I was on the tour for at least an hour and saw nothing but one foreign tour. "Why don't we take care of our own culture when foreign tourists come and go?" (I was confused) confused my mind. There were so many fun moments inside the school that when the head of the excursion told the story of the teacher and the teacher in the literature class, they all went through my eyes. It was a pleasant feeling. Frankly, I realized how ignorant I was. Next time I go, I will investigate. (Original) Hər tarqovuya gələndə bu binanın yanından düz keçirik (İçəri şəhərdən gələndə tarqovunun girişində heykəlləri olan bina) çoxumuz da bilmirik ki, ora nə binasıdı. Mən də bilmirdim, hər keçəndə "görən içində nə var" deyirdim. Sən demə burda ədəbiyyatımızın tarixi varmış. Azı bir saat ekskursiyada oldum və bir xarici turisdən başqa heç kimi görmədim. "Xarici turist gəlib maraqlanarkən özümüz öz mədəniyyətimizi niyə maraqlanımırıq?" (içi mən qarışıq) sualı ağlımı qarışdırdı. İçəridə o qədər maraqlı anlarım oldu ki, məktəbdə ədəbiyyat dərsində Vəsilə müəllimin keçdikləri, danışdığı hekayələri ekskursiya rəhbəri danışanda hamısı gözümün önündən keçdi. Xoş hislər idi. Açığı orda nə qədər cahil olduğumu anladım. Gələn dəfə gedəndə araşdırıb gedəcəm.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful museum with great staff. Special thanks to the Russian-speaking guide Ayten, who not only very interestingly told about all the exhibits, but also about the whole history of Azerbaijan and the Turkic peoples. Came out filled and spiritualized :-) Come and you will not regret it. Yes, indeed, mobile phones must be handed over at the entrance, but I don’t see any universal tragedy in this. So you can calmly immerse yourself in the atmosphere and story.

Beautiful exterior. We entered through the wrong door initially, were then redirected. After walking through a metal detector manned by a guard preoccupied with his phone, the coat check stopped us, as that is where we were to buy our tickets. I asked for our tickets in Russian, they had told us they cost 7 monat each. After handing over a 20 note, they asked for our nationality. We had told them we are American, at which point they had upcharged us 10 monat each. After unhappily agreeing to the price, they had asked us to cover our shoes with plastic booties, surrender our hand bags, as well as given instructions on our mobile phone usage. I became annoyed by the upsale then being ordered around on petty matters before seeing anything, so I asked for a refund, to which they obliged. I had heard wonderful things about Azeri literature and hoped to learn more at this museum. Nothing more than a curiosity for my education. Unfortunately, I was greeted with an upcharge and a string of commands at the door.

A great tribute to Great PERSIAN poet & writer I do believe he never wrote a single line or verse in Turkish and as a teacher of history my sources of information which are global and very credible, tell me that Nizami was in fact Persian and only wrote in Persian I asked a guide about this and I do believe he swore at me in his language

Super interesting museum, the guide was so intelligent and nice, I wish I could listen more and more, but you have only one hour inside and no photos allowed. But I don’t care about photos. I want to explore exposition, but you must go further cuz your time limited. So sad. I want to pay more and listen more, and watch all books and stuff. A lot of people inside and they only work is to switch off the lights after you’ll left the room. Please, make more options to visit this place, one hour it’s not enough at all

Even with just a slight interest for literature and poetry, this museum is a must if you visit Baku. The guide manages to paint a good picture of the history of the country from a literary perspective. That combined with the historic building the museum occupies, is well worth the several hours spent.

(Translated by Google) Loved the museum. In short, it tells about the history of Azerbaijan, starting with the Lower Paleolithic. Nice guide. For tourists a little expensive, but I think it's worth it (Original) Очень понравилось в музее. В кратце повествуется о истории Азербайджана, начиная с нижнего палеолита. Приятный экскурсовод. The museum is quite old-style. There's one permanent exhibition which, according to the guide, changes slightly when new exhibits arrive. But it mostly comprises of the Soviet-era portraits of the premodern national poets and the personal items of the later writers. The exhibition's structure is chronological and there's hardly any concept behind the composition. You can feel the top-down approach imposed by the museum's leadership already at the entrance. They tend to control each movement of visitors with time limitations and mandatory guides. The staff at the cloak room were sarcastic towards my critical remarks and lacked professionalism, but the guide was helpful. You can visit if you're particularly interested in the topic. Otherwise, the building of the museum is much more impressive.

(Translated by Google) ?? Clean and good service museum ?? Entrance fee is a little high! ? I thought at first, The price was satisfactory. There are exhibits on the second and third floors of the hotel. All staff from the museum will explain. The speed of explanation is quite fast, I was very grateful for the explanation. I finished seeing everything in about 45 minutes with a speedy explanation. It may be an unnecessary service for people who already have a lot of knowledge, but I was very satisfied because the admission fee included the explanation fee for the staff. There is a need to deposit a mobile phone at the reception desk, It will be returned when you go home.
