Complex
Archeological
ethnographic
museum
Complex
was
established
under
the
open
air
in
the
terrirory
of
Gala
reserve
upon
initiative
and
under
the
leadership
of
Heydar
Aliyev
Fund
in
2008.
The
territory
of
the
museum
is
1,5
hectares.
Archeological
monuments
particularly
to
Gala
and
Absheron
peninsula
were
collected
and
restored
in
the
territory
of
Museum
complex.
The
barrows
-
archeological
monuments
dating
back
to
III-II
millenniums
before
century,
settlements
dating
to
the
same
period,
residental
and
other
architectural
models
dating
to
the
middle
ages
etc.
were
constructed
in
their
original
form
in
this
territory.
In
the
territory
of
complex
you
can
see
the
map,
plan,
scheme
that
noted
the
monuments
of
Absheron
peninsula,
and
stands
that
described
Absheron
monuments,
petroglyphs
that
dated
back
III-II
millenniums,
found
in
the
East
part
of
Absheron,
rich
with
theme
and
colorful
plot,
engraving
images
such
as
hunting
scene,
sacrificing
human,
holly
marriage
etc.
representing
general
worldview
system;
idols;
megalithic
monuments;
archeological
gallery
rich
with
archeological
findings;
conservated
remains
of
living
houses
of
Medieval
ages;
the
examples
of
ancient
pottery,
carpet
weaving,
blacksmith;
two-storied
houses
dated
19th
century
with
its
interior
and
exterior;
live
examples
of
agriculture-
sheep
breeding,
camel
breeding,
horse
breeding
etc.
The
Museum
of
antique
items
was
established
in
2011
on
the
initiative
and
with
support
of
the
Heydar
Aliyev
Foundation
in
Gala
Settlement
on
the
basis
of
a
private
collection
of
Shahid
Habibullayev,
an
engineer,
restorer
and
philanthropist,
invalid
of
the
Garabagh
war,
who
was
honoured
with
“Azerbaijan
Flag”
order.
A
rich
collection
created
during
the
long
years
has
now
about
3,000
examples
of
material
and
spiritual
culture.
Items
made
by
Azerbaijani
craftsmen
that
make
up
the
basis
of
this
rich
collection
were
presented
at
many
World
exhibitions
including
Paris,
London,
Washington,
Berlin,
Moscow,
Cairo,
Rabat,
Bishkek,
Tashkent
and
other
cities
where
they
always
had
great
success.
Only
800
exhibits
from
this
unique
collection
are
presented
at
the
Museum
of
Antique
Items.
The
1st
and
2nd
floors
of
the
Museum
mostly
exhibit
various
pearls
of
decorative
and
applied
art
created
by
the
Azerbaijani
people
for
centuries.
Antique
items
made
in
USA,
Germany,
Austria,
Belgium,
Russia,
France,
Great
Britain,
Iran,
Turkey,
Poland,
Uzbekistan
and
other
countries
collected
in
various
regions
of
the
republic
that
have
firmly
entered
the
life
of
the
Azerbaijani
people
are
exhibited
on
the
3rd
floor.
Государственный
историко-этнографический
заповедник
«Гала»
в
Баку
можно
рассматривать
как
комплекс,
потому
что
внутри
комплекса
есть
3
различных
музея:
археологический
и
этнографический
музей,
музей
замка,
музей
антиквариата.
В
музее
проводятся
экскурсии
на
разных
языках:
на
азербайджанском,
русском,
английск
немецком
и
на
французском.
Площадь
музея
составляет
1,5
га,
здесь
представлены
наскальные
рисунки,
керамические
изделия,
бытовые
предметы
и
украшения,
оружие
и
монеты,
законсервированные
развалины
древнего
поселения,
относящиеся
к
периоду
с
III—II
тыс.
до
н.
э.
до
средних
веков.
В
музее
насчитывается
более
2000
различных
археологических
и
архитектурных
памятников
—
курганы,
места
древних
поселений,
захоронений,
мест,
датируемых
тысячилетиями
назад.
Заповедник
был
создан
в
2008
году
под
эгидой
Фонда
Гейдара
Алиева.
Он
расположен
в
районе
Гала,
и
носит
имя
этого
района.
Гала-государственный
историко-этнографический
заповедник
посвящен
истории
Абшеронского
полуострова.
В
музее
есть
тандыр
18
века,
2
подземных
перехода,
принадлежащие
к
10—15
векам.
Рядом
с
ними
можно
увидеть
старые
дома,
палатки
из
шкурок
животных,
каменные
и
соломенные
дома
с
куполами,
старую
кузницу,
керамические
мастерские,
тришер.
