The real myth of Shaki. Real history. At first glance, it is a historical work reminiscent of the Haji Chalabi. It is an excellent destination for both history lovers and wildlife lovers. There are excellent facilities for a picnic. The castle can be found in trash dumps. But last night we cleaned it together with the youth. Shaki is one of the favorite places of tourists to visit.

The walk goes from very easy to very hard in an instant. The walk through the village is pleasant and well worth the effort. The last 100 meters requires scrambling to the top. Not much of a view either.

Took a taxi from Kis (7 manat) to a small restaurant/guest house at the end of the road near the fort. It's just a 10-15 min quite steep hike from there. View is nice but not spectacular. The fort is very run down and thus it is a bit hard to imagine it how it used to be. But still it was worth it.

The view from the fort makes the hike worth it. Amazing views for a long way, the last section of the hike is quite steep but manageable. Using a good map is recommended

It's about a 15 min upward hike to the ruins. The hike is steep so wear proper hiking boots. The trail is clear and easy to follow. Do not bring kids, it's dangerous. It is an isolated spot so you'll likely have the ruins to yourself when you go. There are great views especially from the top of the castle.

Take extreme precaution while scaling the trail. There is a lack of footing and the fall can be dangerous. There's not much to see once on top, but an extremely crumbling stronghold which can further collapse by human access. Very risky.

Park your car next to the guest house and then hike up towards the castle. Make sure to follow the small sign board which is easy to pass by and it will lead you to a path towards the castle wall. Special needs people need to be aware that its doable but difficult so be careful and have fun!

A beautiful hike up a hill to the ruins of a fortress. The last bit us a little steep and gravelly so be sure to wear comfortable shoes! Beautiful views across the mountains

It's not an easy hike. The fortress withstood a Persian attack ages ago. Just sayin'.
