The service and ambience is okay. Biryani was awful!! Trust me street vendors sell better biryani. Also I found egg shell. Additionally the potato wasn’t cooked well. The chicken dish was bitter. However the gandhoraj fish in the starter was good. That was the only good part about this dining experience. We were so disappointed that we did not order dessert.

Oudh 1590 takes you back in time to the era of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the Gourmet King of Awadh, and his royal Khansamas who created a legacy with their culinary masterpieces. These recipes have made it straight into kitchens around the world and here in Kolkata, you can get exactly that in this chain of Restaurants! Adding to this, ghazals of Farida Khanum or Begum Akhtar surely makes this first period restaurant of Kolkata an insatiable delight for food lovers. Diving into their massive menu, one thing is for sure, Oudh is a Non Vegetarian's heaven!

This was our first time at the Southern Avenue outlet and to say the least it was as good as the other outlet near Deshapriya park if not more. The staffs were very cooperative and would attend our needs at the earliest. They were very attentive to the orders and would serve them very quickly. They even recommended the quantity we should take and it was quite accurate. Now coming on to the ambience we absolutely got the feel that we were at a Nawabi palace with the music and the interior decoration amplifying the feel. One thing I didn't like was the advertisement screen which was anyway not going with the interiors and was quite irritating at times. The things we ordered, 1. Mutton Galouti kebab (4.5/5) 2. Lucknowi Paratha (4/5) 3. Gosht Handi Biryani (3.5/5) 4. Chicken Shahi Korma (4/5) 5. Mutton bhuna (3.5/5) 6. Phirni (4/5) 7. Shahi Tukra (4.5/5) You definitely go for lunch or dinner and it would not disappoint. Just one recommendation though, please go for the dine-in experience rather than delivery. The ambience elevates the experience.

The place really justifies its name. Gives you an ultimate period dining vibe. The ambience is just amazing and vintage. The food and service was great. The staffs are polite. I'll definitely visit again.

On 13th September 2020 - Sunday we (whole family) went for lunch.. Thoroughly disappointed with the management of this southern avenue branch.. Service quality very poor.. People were very reluctant to talk.. No warm welcome received.. The plastic plate sets are quite innovative.. But there were no option of having gravy items.. All plates types container.. If somebody orders chicken rezala/ chicken irani.. How the gravy can be taken in a quarter side plate...and most astonishing we have been asked to keep the plastic transparent covers with us..for keeping the plates again after having the food.. Putting the entire plate sets after having food becomes very difficult and uncomfortable.. We gave been to so many good places in this condition since 8th June onwards.. But not at all experienced so bad/ reluctant approach from any restaurant..while our lunch half way through power cut happened.. Again no solution.. No candle..no emergency light provided by any one of staff / managers.. We had the food by the help of our mobile light.. Having Lunch with the help of mobile light again the 1st time in life.. All staffs had watched silently.. Found them very cool n casual.. For washing hands went to wash basin inside in toilet.. It was worst.. So dark.. Couldn't see anything.. And unbearable smelly..while asking one of the staff regarding the power cut and bathroom situation.. They were silent.. After coming out from oudh 1590 southern avenue we were shocked to see that all building.. All shops.. All mandir..had electricity as usual.. .. am sorry to say we couldn't expect this kind of worst experience from a reputed Resrurant like OUDH.. My sincere request to please take care of this restaurant issue immediately.. Otherwise this will effect it's own Brand..

The ambience was great. One of its kind. I wish we could enjoy more but due to the lockdown rules, we were rushed out of the restaurant after 8pm.

Great Food, Affordable, must visit !! First off this restaurant has a great vibe ! Ambience is great,staff is friendly. Most importantly food taste just great , even for vegetarians (tho menu is limited for vegetarians). You probably have to wait for 10/15mims to get a table because Oudh 1950 attracts a lot of people.

A good restaurant to go with friends and family, for enjoy dinner or lunch in budget friendly menu. But if you go I would suggest to go with minimum 4+ people because then u can have a good place of seat and a very good atmosphere. 'Oudh 1590', the high-end fine dining outlet offering the rich cuisine of Oudh (Lucknow as it is known today), aims at creating a reflection of the royal banquets of Awadh which were famous for their high standards of gastronomical etiquette. Excellent ambiance,🥰 finger licking good Biriyani,😋 out of the world soft mutton, brilliant service and smooth operations are a few things that describes this place. Besides the servings in brass utensils makes the experience even more unique. For the price, it is really value for money and the experience was really wonderful. ❤️ The service was commendable even in such a rush and we were attended to with much care. Love it! A must visit and highly recommended place for weekends and family outings.

One of the best places in kolkata to get awadhi cuisines. Some of the must try dishes are in the picture below: 1. Galouti Kabab: A kabab which was designed for the ageing nawabs. A true delight for the taste buds. You can pair this up with the lucknowi paratha which is an add on for 70rs. 2. Chicken zafrani kabab: When the word wow comes short for this kabab. Bone less chicken pieces was just astounding marniated with zafran and yogurt. 3. Ghosht awadhi biriyani: A biriyani bliss for 2 people. Their dum pukht method of slow cooking the meat is just mesmerizing. 4. Phirni: Ending such a heavy meal eith a sweet tooth and everyone's favorite delight was truely a delightful experience all together.

Subz makhan masala with Veg Biryani at Oudh 1590 Of all the restaurants and cafes, we visited so far in Kolkata this was a big dhoka. Contrary to popular vegetarian Avadhi recipes, this one had hardly any veg options! The biryani was a sham and more like fried rice. The subz makhan masala had hardly any subzi. The dark interiors give the place a ghost like atmosphere. I suppose the statue of bearded man at the entrance is more for supernatural effect! A big let down

We visited this branch for dinner, In appetizers we ordered chicken Reshmi kabab and Zaffrani chicken kabab which were tasty and flavorful, for beverages we ordered Soda Shikanji that was refreshing. In main course we ordered Raan biryani which was very spicy and mutton also didn’t taste good. Ambiance was nice. I hope next time it will be better.

Well, it's crowded most of the time, so I would advise you too reserve tables, before you visit, especially if you are visiting with a huge group. The ambience is very rich and vibrant and will give you the feel of a Palace somewhere near Rajasthan. The food is really tasty, although a bit expensive.

There has to be at least a star given to start the eating and feedback here, if that was not the case i'd chose to give nothing. The experience was horrible. They served us chicken biryani where the chicken was cold, I mean dead cold. When asked they took our plate and heated it in their oven. They didn't even bother to change our plate or replace the item. On returning, they served us more rice that we have no idea came from where and a piece of potato which was not there on our plate in the first place. The chicken tikka was overpriced and undercooked. The aerated beverage was flat and the fresh lime soda had speckles of dirt floating atop the drink. There were no lime wedges or even a single cube of ice in the drink. It was a pathetic experience from a place well known, funny. The condiments box at the end of the dinner was fungus laden on the sides.

Beautiful ambience but waiting time killed it. We had to wait almost an hour to get a table on weekend. They close by 3.30pm so make sure you reach bit early or they don’t even take down names for waiting also around 3pm. Food was quite good. We tried Mutton Galawati Kebab along with paratha which was really tasty and soft. The kebabs were very juicy and good in taste. We then had Murgh Metiabruz Biryani and Awadhi Handi Biryani (Mutton) . Biryanis was okay .. We had bit more expectations. We didn’t like the Nalli Nehari but Chicken Kassa was good. Overall a good experience.

The Nawabi ambience along with Thumri and Ghazals makes the place the best of all. The dishes are rich in aroma and the blend of spices are too good to be true. Significant hospitality and solemn behaviour by the staffs.

#Lovedit Amazinge ambience. We had ordered Gosht Handi Biryani, Murg kosha, Salad and fresh lime soda. Each and every dishes are delicious, specially the gravy of murg kosha is mouth watering. Biryani doesnt require any review separately. Fresh lime soda also prepared with perfection, I must say never tasted this kind of pefctly balance lime sods before. Cost around Rs.1200/ for two.

Great ambience, nice decoration, a feel like the great old royal days. My all time favourite is Galawati Kebab - a flat fried item round shaped filled with minced mutton.. Biriyani and Chicken chaap are another items I would love to order alongside. A variety of items - long menu will make you perplexed to decide what to order and what to leave for next. # Bad experience at Oudh 1590, Vivekananda Park. I won't recommend anybody to this outlet.. # Biriyani quality is not good.!! And they are looting customers in the name of mineral water, they are charging 1 lit water bottle for 75 rs which was their oudh 1590 branded water bottle.. (Standard Bislery or Kinley 1 lit water bottle would have charged us 20 to 30 rs ) # We took awadhi gosth handi biriyani and Galuti kebab.. Biriyani had almost no taste. I couldn't feel that as Biriyani. Probably this was the worst Biriyani I ate so far.. Kebab was fine, no complaint for that.. # Mutton pieces was hard. It was a boney piece with almost no meat in that. Only they provided a plate full of masala rice (I won't say Biriyani as it had no Biriyani like taste) and two pieces of boiled egg.. # We raised this issue to the restaurant people and now writing here as well so that customers can avoid such poor Biriyani and that unnecessary 75 rs water bottle..!! Very bad experience.. Moreover, I never thought I will pay 75 rs for a liter of water.. When I am eating a 450 rs low quality Biriyani.. Disappointed, shocked and surprised.. 🙄😐

I have just recently visited this place with my family . The ambience and food both were simply awesome . I loved their service . We tried the rann biriyani , chicken sheek kabab, zafrani kabab, galauti kabab and tandoori chicken along with one chicken side dish and parathas . The food was extremely good . The ambience is really good. The interiors make it a perfect place to click pictures. We ordered Lucknow paratha and galouti kabab. I didn't like it much. It's because I don't like dry items. Also I tasted biryani from my friends. Even that I felt dry. Maybe few people will like it. But those who can't eat dry items will not like it that much.

Visited this restaurant twice—once during Puja and another on a regular day. While the prices lean towards the higher side, the portion size is typically sufficient for two people on regular days. However, during Puja, I noticed a reduction in quantity, which left me a bit disappointed. A noteworthy aspect is their biryani, which doesn't include aloo (potatoes).Despite the price and quantity fluctuations, the overall dining experience was good.

Must visit place for badsahi treat

Out of all other branches, this one is the biggest and possibly best. Good interior, fast order service, tasty food, professional behaviour of the staffs. This place is exactly located opposite to kamala girls high school and behind the naturals Ice Cream shop. A lot of space around for parking you will find.

Visited the place last Saturday evening. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get a table. While we waited, we admired the amazing decor of the place. It was the biryani festival at Oudh 1590. But we were told that only a few biryani items are available. We didn't get moti biryani. So, we had to order the Awadhi Gosht Handi Biryani for two and one Awadhi Murg Handi Biryani. Each pot of biryani had enough rice for two people. In fact, each pot had two pieces of boiled eggs and two good pieces of meat. You cannot complain about the amount. Also, the taste of the biryani was way better than the regular biryani you may have from the local restaurants. Long grains of rice, right balance of spices, and the aroma - all made the food extraordinary. They also offered complimentary raita and mint chutney. Overall, we had a great experience at Oudh 1590. However, I would have loved it more if all the items in the menu were available.

This outlet of Oudh is small but it is really a good place with limited seating arrangement. The ambience is nice and food quality is also great. Their service is also good. The only complaint is the washroom. There is only one washroom to be used by both men and women, and no other place to wash hands.

Well a v mixed experience. The ambiance takes you aback and staffs are worm and welcoming. But we are there for food right. Ordered their signature mutton handi oudh biryani that served two, masala thums up and a green salad. The quantity of rice is quite filling, we also got 2 aloos on request. However however the mutton piece portion and softness is a bummer. The green salad never arrived too.

Food quality is good and ambience is amazing. The pictures of nawabs and the status in front of main door and cherry on the cake was all-time favourite thumri and dadra of Begum Akhtar ji as background. Washrooms and wash basin need improvisation because there's only one restroom for 1st floor area

Tried home delivery... Biryani was so so as if the rice, mutton and oil were put together in the handi only......bland...rice was not cooked properly...Others were Mutton roganjosh, Chicken kebab, Chicken Zafrani a little better than the main dish....Borhani was too sweet

The remarkable restaurant with very tasty food. The ambiance of the Heritage building along with the staff behaviour their look and the serving system. This Oudh 1590 outlet is very beautiful. The Food we tried are. Festive special 1. Sugandhi Chickn biriyani 2. Handi Mutton Biriyani 3. Bunna Chikchn I will recommend everyone to try these dishes. Specially if you want to try little different flavour in Biriyani .try Sugandhi Biriyani with Bunna Chikchn.

Looking forward not to visit Oudh 1590 ever again. Their Quality has detoriated a lot from where it was a couple of years ago. This is not because of Durga Puja. I ordered 1 month ago also and at that time also the same problems i faced with quantity and quality. Yesterday I ordered Tandoori roti which was normal roti as per the staff and we were amazed by this. The mutton rogan josh was degraded. The chicken awadhi biriyani was much worse than a 90 bucks biriyani available at the streets. The Photos are also posted to have a look.

Ambience is excellent. Service is good. Food taste and quality is also good. The only thing is price. You will find price reasonable but the quantity is very less which eventually makes it expensive. Overall a good experience.

This place has the most amazing mutton galawti kebabs. Pair them with the soft parathas (obviously). This trip I tried their awadhi handi biriyani and while I love delicate spices, the biriyani didn’t stand out to me. I got the chicken chaap to compliment the biriyani and it was yum! Fine interiors, thumri on loop - ambience was fine. I did wish they had seats for 2 people to enjoy a cozy lunch. I’d say choose this restaurant when in big groups so you can taste variety.

Have been to Oudh for number of times ever since it came into existence. Had mainly visited its two outlets, one at Despriya Park and the other one at Vivekananda Park. Ambience and services are till now up to the mark, while i have to say that the portion & taste of food have gone a way down lately. They need to take care about this. Otherwise, Oudh offers one of the best period Dinning experience in Kolkata.

You have to wait long time to get a table..Ambiance is good...Kabab is mind blowing.i think starter menu is tasty. Briyani quality is very low.Murg kasa is literally good.this is located near rabindra sarobar 11 no gate..parking facility is also there..

As usual Ourh never fails to impress you. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and great ambience. The interior is unique and the background classic awadhi music makes it really satisfying. Do not miss the Galwati Kebab there.

We went today with family for dinner in vivekananda branch( Bill # 6534) .While the food was good but service was horrible ...Post our dinner we asked to pack one awadi handi birwani , 1 Murgh kasha , 1 Galauti kabab and 1 paratha ....While other items are there the birwani was missing ...May be we should have checked all items but this sort of intigrity is expected from a reputed outlet ...Can i expect a response and action from the management ?

1st time visited this branch of Oudh 1590. Its near the rabindrasarbor lake. The place and the parking is very good, no harassment in parking car and bikes. The behaviour of all the staffs are decent and up to the mark. One of them have explained the history of the Oudh ambiance. The ambiance gives a beautiful flavor of mughal periods. Now coming to the main part, we have ordered Galoity Kebab, Mutton Biryani, Nun, Reshmi Chicken, Mozito. All are very tasty. Hotel is clean and they charge Rs. 25/- person for providing plastic sanitized plates and spoons. Its a nice experience there.

Oudh 1590 is one of my favourite fine dining restaurant...it's ambience and food always charmed me....but yesterday I was very much shocked about the mutton biriyani...the test of the food was avarage and the mutton was not properly cooked...any way please try to improve the quality of the food as I used to enjoy the food, service and ambience of the restaurant very much.
