I have been ordering the butter chicken from here for the past few years, and it has always been THE BEST! I’ve eaten in here and the management was always so gracious and kind. Though right now, I ordered with level NOT SPICE as I always do and received butter chicken that was so spicy it was inedible. I called the restaurant and they were so incredibly rude telling me I ordered level 1 and that actually it is “spicy”. I told them that my DoorDash receipt shows I selected NOT SPICE which is the first selection before level 1. He still argued that it was “tandoori” and is supposed to be spicy. My boyfriend had put in a second order for himself and I asked if they could please include an additional butter chicken with no spice. They did agree and we waited for the second order to arrive. Excited finally for tasty butter chicken we were a bit horrified with how it arrived. I’ve never, ever received butter chicken in a container that looked like this. We tried stirring it and it just looked like a greasy mess. It didn’t taste like much of anything and so soupy. Not thick, delectable and scrumptious like before. I’ve lost my appetite and just can’t eat any of it. Something is going on with management at Spice fine. So sad this place has gone down like this.

Our visit to the restaurant at 10 pm today left us utterly dissatisfied. Despite the untidy exterior, we decided to ignore the reviews and give it a chance. Regrettably, the restaurant's interior lived up to its poor appearance, showcasing a lack of cleanliness and quality. The waitress's unfriendly demeanor and minimal interaction further added to our disappointment. Our orders of tikka masala and chicken dum biryani couldn't salvage the experience. I strongly discourage anyone from dining here. A word of caution: even if you're considering using their restroom, I advise against it. Our unpleasant experience suggests it might pose a risk of infection.

My husband couldn’t wait for me to try Indian food. After all the great reviews on tiktok I couldn’t wait to see what the hype was about. We ordered what we were advised to get. Needless to say I was NOT impressed at all. According to my husband (who has had Indian food a couple times before) this was terrible compared to other authentic Indian restaurants. Order & Flavor - We ordered butter chicken, curry goat, garlic naan, chicken samosa and a mango lassi. On scale of 1-10 butter chicken was a 1 it was too sweet and too thick. Curry goat 3 it was weirdly sweet also. Just ok overall. Nothing I would consider ever going back to get. Garlic naan 0 completely dry and flavorless. Chicken samosa 1 it was basically a grease ball with chicken inside. Tasted like something you could get in the freezer section of your local grocery store. Mango lassi 1. May just be personal preference but from other reviews I didn’t expect it to be that thick. Didn’t taste much like mango. More like a thick yogurt with a slight hint of what you would expect mango to taste like. Portion size - Rice on the small side. Not enough for the amount of butter chicken or curry goat. Chicken and goat portion sizes were fair and to be expected. Customer service - 4. Wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. Spent a total of $60 including tip. ****Overall food rating 1**** I won’t post this to my tiktok because I’m not trying to get the restaurant shut down. This is more of a feedback review to do better.

We accidentally went to the wrong Spice restaurant (Bulverde) and even thought it looked better, the food did not compare to this Spice restaurant (410). The buffet food was AMAZING! If you are looking for fresh delicious naan and tasty food, come to this Spice Restaurant. The service was attentive and you can tell they take great pride in their food.

I really enjoyed this place, super good food, really fast service! The servers are very attentive and kind. There’s a lot of variety in the menu and you can choose your spice level. I enjoy their butter chicken and garlic naan, perfect dinner combo!

Super great service , amazing food , we took 90 senior citizens n volunteers from our Ismaili community so they served us food when they were not open for general public. Very nice and cautious staff and manager/owner Mr.Anjan was serving himself .

We went for the buffet on a weekday and were pleasantly disappointed. There was barely any items and the cost of the buffet is ridiculous for the number of items at the table. There are very few vegetarian items at the buffet, only worth it if you are a meat eater. The food itself was bland, but not too bad. The kid at the front desk was very kind and brought some extra yogurt and some salt when I asked. They had raita but no Biriyani or Pulav, just plain rice. Would not recommend this restaurant for their buffet. Only giving this restaurant an extra star for their service.

Ahhhh! WHAT THE HECK !!! I ordered the Chicken Briyani with no spice. Zero spice. I took one bite and holy moly! It was spice hot 🔥 🥵. Lol. My wife ordered a Briyani as well and hers was a 2-level hot and it was very spicy for her. We looked at each other like GOOD GRIEF! LOL. I'm weak sauce when it comes to spicy, but man! I was thinking to myself. What did we get into? I asked the waitress, "Is the dish supposed to be spicy?" She said," the sauce the chicken is cooked in is a little spicy." I nodded my head in agreement, but deep down inside I was confused. Lol. Mam o man. Let me tell you about the entree. The rice was good. It was soft and moist. The chicken was underneath the rice and It was tender, very tender! The presentation of the plate was awesome. It had great flavor. If it wasn't so spicy I could finish the plate. It's a meal for two. We're going to try this place again. Maybe there'll be a different cook. 😂 By the way, after our meal. we immediately went to eat ice cream and alot of it. 🤣😆🤣

We had a group of 25+ people who showed up with no warning to the restaurant on a Sunday. They were FULL with customers and still did the utmost to serve us! So grateful for the staff that took the time to set up tables in the back room, and serve us dosas and mango lassis. We had an amazing time with our church group! They even asked us what kind of music we wanted to listen to, and put that on for us. And the food, OMG! So delicious! Best butter chicken and mango lassi in town! We love this place!

Great customer service and super friendly staff! Reasonable prices and delicious food. I got take out, but they do offer a buffet style as well. Appears to be an older restaurant that has weathered well it appears from frequent customers, but very cleanly. I picked up food at 3pm so it was a little slow, but multiple delivery services came in to pick up food. I’d say it’s worth a try!

I've had the lunch buffet at Spice fine Indian cuisine several times now. It has been pretty consistent in taste and quality. Luckily we have shown up early, beating the lunch rush and having the place almost to ourselves. This place offers a variety of Indian favorites such as chicken Tikka masala, chicken biryani, lamb curry, chicken 65, vegetable side dishes, and many more options. There are vegan options also. You also have the choice of having fresh naan bread or paratha served with your plate. The chai tea is also a great option to drink with your Indian buffet meal. If you enjoy Indian cuisine from several spots, then this is a great option to add and try out.

A must try Indian restaurant in San Antonio!!! Every dish served is exceptionally delicious with no exception . They brought the grandness of Indian spices straight away from India to SanAntonio!!!! Each and every dish is equally good but what stole my heart is the softness of chicken dum biryani ! Got equally impressed with the authenticity of the Vegetarian dishes Pulav , Dal,Rasam and the “”Majjiga Chaaru “” Equally impressed by the taste of goat curry, malai kofta. The service is top notch .They are friendly and polite .its rare to see in a buffet the management or the staff interacting with us to ensure that everything is ok with the food . Do not regret later if you miss to eat gulab Jamun there .they will make you forget about ur diet 😀😀😀!!

Insanely good Biryani and the portion served is generous. Also, major kudos for the spice factor. They offer spiciness on a 5 scale, and 5 is most certainly hella spicy and delicious!! 🔥🔥

Editing review: we went back today to try their weekend lunch buffet. It was sooooooo yummy. Everything we tried was so good. They don’t skimp on the spices! Thanks again for the amazing lunch. After trying so many other Indian restaurants in San Antonio we had almost given up on finding our go-to Indian place. So glad we didn’t give up hope. This place is absolutely amazing. Wish we hadn’t wasted time and money on the others. Thank you for the amazing lunch! Plus got to watch how much they put into the cleaning as they bussed other tables. We will be back soon to try your weekend buffet!
