Just Fatastic! The creamery was started over 100 years ago to teach the art of Ice Cream at Penn State. It is proof that practice makes perfect. I got a root beer swirl on a waffle cone, and it was amazing. My daughter got chocolate chip cookie dough. Definitely check this place out if you are a lover of Ice Cream.

It’s a must stop. Very efficient even if there is a long line. They have decent coffee and the ice cream is amazing. Also there is a parking garage right next door. Easy parking. Also got right in during PSU/Central Michigan Game. Flat $40 fee. And not a bad walk to the stadium. Easy.

The ice cream is delicious and super rich and creamy with a wide array of flavors. The store carries everything from milk, cheese, cream, ice cream pints and half gallons to beef sticks, grilled stickies (sticky buns), chips and even t-shirts and baseball caps. Some of the staff are friendly while others could care less about being there. The ice cream is the star though and is really excellent.

If you're a Penn State alum or simply passing through State College, you can't miss out on the experience of stopping by the Berkey Creamery for a scoop (or two) of their delicious ice cream. As you step into the Creamery, you're surrounded by a rich history of dairy research and production. With over 150 years of expertise, the Creamery has become a world leader in dairy manufacturing and food science, thanks to the science-based process developed by Penn State's food and dairy scientists. But the real star of the show is the ice cream. Creamy, smooth, and rich, each scoop is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail. From classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate to unique blends like Peachy Paterno and Bittersweet Mint, there's something for everyone. But the Creamery is more than just a delicious stop on your graduation day. It's an important part of the Penn State community, providing quality dairy products to students in on-campus housing and supporting the teaching, research, and outreach programs of the Department of Food Science. A visit to the Berkey Creamery is a must during any visit to the Happy Valley area. Indulge in a sweet treat and savor the rich history and expertise that make the Creamery a Penn State tradition.

My mom and I went together and we had a great time choosing what half gallon to choose so we got The Coffee Yogurt and The Butter Pecan. They cost $9.29 for 1 half gallon.

The ice cream here taste amazing and they have tons of different flavors to choose from! I like how they only have once size, it makes the ordering process fast and keeps the line moving. Definitely worth a stop if you are at Penn state!

Great ice cream. At the time of posting July 2022, a cone or cup is $5 with tax. You can only get one flavor, no mixing.

I got the arboretum breeze (right after visiting the arboretum) which was raspberry and mint with bitter chocolate and it was incredible. I also bought a block of smoked cheddar cheese. So cool that they have their own creamery!

This place is a quick walk around the corner from the parking garage. It’s definitely best ice cream I’ve ever had. I got the coconut almond chocolate chip.

Great experience. $6 for cone or cup, same size and no options. Some of the unique flavors. Provided sanitization wipes.

Best ice cream in state college. Sure there are other local dairy bars scooping up fresh ice cream from fresh milk, but it’s hard to beat the campus creamery, having been at it over a hundred years. Flavors change daily, you can choose cone or cup, and you get a lot of ice cream! No mixing flavors - that’s okay, share with friends and come back often.

I came to Penn State to do Fire Inspections and this place was suggested to me. Long line but moved quick and in no time I was enjoying my Monkey Business ice cream. Delicious, very creamy and hit the spot. They have a menu full of option and they also sell 1/2 gallon tubs. If you are in the area stop by, you will not be disappointed.

We were there for a hockey game. Stopped by about 5:30pm before the game. The line was so long we were unable to stay and wait. After the game we went back about 30 minutes before closing. It was still packed and overly crowded. I was never there before so I didn't know what to expect. A lot of yelling out orders and a bit of chaos for me. Not sure which line you needed in after you ordered. They were working as quickly as they could. It was open house for the parents to visit so it was overly busy.

The ice cream was good. There was a long line but it moved fairly quickly. There were designated stations for each flavor and as our first time there it was a little confusing. It was busy and a bit chaotic. Each table outside had sanitary wipes and an umbrella which was nice. It was raining when we went but we managed to stay dry. There weren't many flavor options for the shakes. I got coffee flavored ice cream but would have gotten the shake if they had it. Delicious and creamy! It's located on a beautiful campus. 4 stars.

We were able to get ice cream with one of our favorite volleyball players! Good ice cream, and enjoyed seeing the campus.

The employee taking our order seemed irritated in taking our order, which set the tone for the experience. Ordered the Birthday Bash and it wasn't as good as I expected. Maybe the Cashier taking our order threw off the taste. Definitely not as good as I thought.
