Small local museum with interesting information on the history of the city of Duarte. Saw a wildlife presentation there. Fun fact I learned about the area.... Glen Miller lived in Duarte back in his day. They called it Tuxedo Junction. Those of you familiar with his music know there was a song they played by the same name. Evidently it was the place to be back then.

The museum has a lot of interesting stuff regarding the history of Duarte. The museum is currently open Wednesdays and Saturdays in the afternoons. The museum is also in a state of Flux preparing to have the flooring replaced in the 100 year old house in which it resides. So everything needs to be prepared to move around and there is a lot of stuff and only a few staff. Very interesting!

This was a perfect place with a cute little Bridge to do our Girl Scout bridging ceremony! There is a playground, soccer field, and open bathrooms for public use. It is easy to find the park and it wasn’t crowded, even for a weekend. Would definitely recommend for outdoor activities.

They have a lot of interesting exhibits from the areas past. Some exhibits are a little disorganized but there is a lot of information to digest.

I really enjoyed this little museum. The people there are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I'm hoping to take the family through there the next time we pass through Duarte.
