Golfzon
Social
is
an
amazing
entry
into
high-end
golf
entertainment.
I’ve
been
to
the
Palisades
Center
Mall
location
three
times
since
moving
to
the
TriState
area
about
a
month
ago.
Zach
and
Steven
were
running
the
show
each
time
I
visited.
They
were
extremely
knowledgeable
about
the
technology
and
provided
a
luxury
service
experience
that
has
set
a
new
high-score
in
my
memories
of
indoor
golf
establishments.
I’m
going
to
keep
my
review
mostly
based
on
the
golf.
But
rest
assured
that
the
food
and
drinks
were
a
solid
5/5.
INFO
-
I’ve
moved
around
a
lot
and
have
experienced
all
the
popular
launch
monitor/simulator
combos
(Trackman,
Foresight,
Top
Golf,
SkyTrak,
Full
Swing)
Pros:
-
Knowledgeable
staff!
As
mentioned
before,
Zach
and
Steven
were
great
resources
during
my
visits.
This
is
super
important
no
matter
how
experienced
you
are
with
simulators.
-
22
very
large
bays.
You
will
not
feel
crowded.
-
Photo
technology
for
visual
feedback
and
the
best
latency
free
simulator
experience.
-
Hitting
area
has
5
surfaces;
fairway,
first
cut
rough,
second
cut
rough,
tight
lie
fairway
bunker,
fluffy
greenside
bunker
-
Hitting
area
dynamically
angles
itself
to
provide
realistic
experiences
hitting
on
sidehill/uphill/downhill
lies.
-
Largest
collection
of
real
and
user-submitted
courses
I’ve
ever
seen
(some
fun
putting
ones
for
the
kids
too!)
-
Auto-loading
ball
system
(loads
onto
tee
which
raises
up
from
below
the
hitting
area).
-
Food
and
drinks
are
5/5
-
Comfy
places
to
sit
are
abundant.
Great
couches
and
chairs
in
bays
as
well
as
scattered
around
the
facility.
-
Lots
of
other
games
around
the
facility
like
cornhole,
shuffleboard,
and
ping
pong.
-
Dedicated
entrance
from
North
parking
lot.
You
don’t
need
to
lug
your
clubs
through
the
main
mall
entrances.
Cons:
-
Static
cost.
It
seems
to
be
a
flat
rate
no
matter
when
you
visit.
$70/hr
doesn’t
feel
too
bad
on
Saturday
night
when
I
take
the
family.
But
it’s
a
bit
prohibitive
on
Tuesday
at
lunch
when
I
want
to
get
an
hour
of
lunchtime
iron
work
in.
I
really
think
that
they
would
benefit
greatly
by
having
flexible
rates
(like
Top
Golf)
to
encourage
more
casual
weekday
customers.
-
Balls.
I
haven’t
asked
about
using
my
own
balls
since
each
bay
appears
to
be
filled
with
their
shop
brand.
However,
the
balls
are
not
great.
They’re
pretty
worn
out
already
and
I
don’t
think
that
wedge/flighted
shots
are
giving
an
accurate
representation
of
trajectory
and
spin.
-
Swing
speed
top-out.
This
happens
with
a
lot
of
photo-tech
launch
monitors
and
I
wouldn’t
really
fault
the
facility
because
I
think
this
is
just
a
tech
limitation
at
the
moment.
Distances
feel
very
accurate
up
to
about
250
yds.
Then,
compression
starts.
My
driving
iron,
3
wood,
mini-driver,
and
“full
send”
driver
have
a
10
yrd
dispersion
between
clubs
according
to
the
launch
monitor.
I
know
for
a
fact
that
it’s
more
like
a
60
yrd
dispersion
just
on
carry.
Overall,
Golfzon
@
the
Palisades
Center
is
a
welcome
addition
to
the
many
golf
entertainment
options
in
the
TriState
area.
It’s
not
surprising
that
folks
drive
from
Central
Jersey,
Westchester,
and
Brooklyn
to
play
here.
It’s
a
new
level
for
high-end
golf
entertainment
and
if
they
can
keep
their
knowledgeable
staff
I
am
sure
that
it
will
succeed.
