We were hungry. I was meeting my two friends from Queens. I am a Brooklyn boy. Last week we did Columbian but the food was average at best. We looked at the abundance of good reviews of Pollos Mario and decided to give it a shot. The place has parking and is guarded by an attendant. The restaurant is clean with lots of tables. Surprisingly it is not noisy. Our waiter Alvin was a young aspiring man who was making his way through a trade school. He had worked at the place since he was 16 and really knew his job well. He never told us what was good, only what people always ordered. He was very attentive to our needs. He is a real asset to this place. The menu is rich with various Columbian dishes. I really wanted the chicken and rice with beans. My friend ordered fish. We also ordered guacamole with chips. It was so good. My chicken dish was amazing. The chicken was very tasty. To my surprise, it came with Chicken Soup, traditional Columbian, and that again was really well done. My friend's fish was really good as well. We were really satisfied. They make a garlic sauce that is extra and not really obvious on the menu. I highly recommend ordering this to go with everything you could possibly put it on. I told my friend we were not doing dessert. He agreed until Alvin listed the desserts. I am a sucker for good Flan. The dessert menu is small. There is a Flan, Tres Leche, and a Brownie with or without Ice Cream. We saw the Tres Leche and it looked amazing. I had the Flan. This was the most amazing Flan. The custard was rich thick and delicious. I cannot get it out of my mind. We had a moment to talk with the owner who is Columbian. He, along with his partners has created an amazing place. It is no wonder it has so many positive reviews. Thanks for a wonderful night out. This place rocks! UPDATE: The following week. This does not generally happen, but we went back for more. The experience was equally good and even more fun as we knew some of the wait staff. Just to clarify, The fish dish my friend had was not as expected, that said, he was totally surprised at how good the dish was. He thought it was overcooked, however, it was cooked to perfection, crisp on the outside and tender and moist on the interior. He ate it to the bone. This visit he had the Rotisserie Chicken as did I, no surprise, it was amazing. We added the garlic sauce. Again, the Flan is so amazing. The parking attendant takes his job seriously, I love his bright lights.

Good lunch for 20 bucks and a natural juice. Is hard to beat that. My mom is Colombian. This food reminds me her food. That means is the really good. Very authentic food, with fair prices. The bathrooms were clean, the service is friendly and I had to wait like 19 minutes for my order. They gave super coco candies. That’s why I put a 5 star review. Parking next to the restaurant so make it a really nice choice when I’m in the area. If the owner read this, you should open one in the Hamptons, Colombian food there is a joke. You gonna make a lot money.

My husband and I decided to eat there for our anniversary. We were seating and waited for 20 minutes. Then an elderly couple came in and we’re seating and within minutes ask what they wanted to eat. Then they were brought all there food and we were still waiting. At that moment we got up and left. Complete bad unnecessarily experience when they barely had people seated. Most tables were empty.

The food here is great, and when it's not busy, you are served almost immediately. The place itself looks really nice. The servers don't speak much English, so it is only a little trouble communicating with them. I would recommend coming here during the weekdays, since the weekends get really busy, and the wait time will be significantly increased.

Yummy Colombian food. Service is great and attentive. Consider ordering half orders to regular order to share. We had lots of leftovers. The tostones with guacamole are pricey, but worth it.

Loved the place and the food was delicious the prices were decent with very big portions. They had so much options to choose from especially for kids. The only problem is they barely speak English and couldn't understand me

We went out for dinner here and they had delicious tostones. The meals we ordered were delicious and very aromatic. I ordered an entree with plain white rice, never knew white rice could be soooo delicious. I appreciated going to this lovely restaurant and would definitely stop by when I'm in the area again.

Good food, I had the half chicken with yellow rice with a side of beans but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture until I was almost done.

Food, Portion Size, Price, Atmosphere and Service are all great. Colombian food is Delicious and they do a great job with it. Vanessa has been there since the beginning and is the Best.

Delicious food, well priced. Friendly service. Our only qualm was with the beverages, I had a blueberry mojito but all I could taste was the lime rinds inside and my grandparents also found their lemonade too sour. But my aunt had the pina colada and really enjoyed it. Overall lovely experience and will be returning soon.

Service is trash, we were charged for the wrong meal. Ordered arepa con queso and the server brought out arepa with rice and beans. Which I didn't order, instead of apologizing or even offering to bring out an arepa (which is the only reason I go to this place) she said it takes 25 minutes to make an arepa. The food took so long we didn't even eat it we had to take it to go. Will not be going back to this location.

Excellent colombian food! We have been to many colombian restaurants and this by far has some of the best flavor and quality. Service was okay. Some staff were great and some seemed not to want to be there and mixed up our order. So was a bit delay to get our orders right.
