I have just spent 40 minutes queuing to reach reception to try and book an open swimming session for this afternoon. Sounds simple but then a blonde lady appears and shouts if anyone wants to book by telephone upstairs. I immediately moved towards her and at that point she disappeared! I stand at the side of reception waiting for her return. 15 minutes later, no sign of her. Reception staff were obviously oblivious to me standing there even though they would have undoubtedly heard her earlier cry! There needs to be a shake up in management in this place. Staff running around like headless chickens! Queuing all around the swimming pools in normal outdoor gear. Send your management team to Aura letterkenny to learn a few management skills!

Absolutely disgraceful customer service.After confirming the baby swimming classes for my twins few days ago just got a voice message that there are no more spaces for this term.Just utterly shocked. I ve trying numerous times to reach them by phone and email but no one is bothered to respond.

Good luck trying to book online or via phone. Useless phone number that is never answered. Useless voicemail that is never returned. Useless website that won't let you book more than one slot (for instance, when you have kids) and freezes when you try to add kids to your family. Here is a work-around though: create separate profiles for each family member. Sure, you will spend ages doing that and you won't be able to avail of family discount, but at least you will be able to get in. Expect error with your login though saying that the other e-mail you are trying to use is already registered and another message saying the very same e-mail doesn't exist when you try to reset password. And judging by other reviews - this has been going on for ages. Embarrassing.

The swimming classes are very good, however the customer service is a disgrace. My daughter has been attending classes for over two years, and due to being a close covid contact we were unable to attend the final weeks of the sessions. We tried to call on a number of occasions but couldn't get through as they never answer the call, now that we are able to leave the house we are being told that no places are available until March.

Checked open swim times on web page .after no answer from phone .. 12 -1 is first open swim . wen we got there, was informed small kids pool closed until 1 o clock .... grandkids disappointed. ... customer info needs to be better and phones should be answered

Honestly, I don't like that horrid place. First off, the most minor issue for the start might not even be an issue, a lot of other Auras have atleast 1 slide (example Navan's Aura) for the kids and that is probably the smallest concern I have with this place. Secondly. Omg. The locker rooms are filthy! Its mixed first of all. Second of all, the floors are rancid. Hair, crumbs, dirt. You name it. If you even think for a second to not bring atleast flip flops to that repugnant place, be warned. You'll need them. The locker room is also mixed, which is usual for an aura. Some lockers were broken, dirty, Eugh. It is smelly, unpleasant and the shower rooms are cramped and tight. When you enter the site, theres also a CHOKING smell of chlorine. Honestly, that whole place really needs to improve on their hygiene. The pool is also pretty small. I've also been reading the other peoples reviews and honestly I'm not the first person to think so horribly about this place. A lot of people can agree. Third of all, the customer service seems to be nasty too. They ignore your calls, take ages to reach, ignore YOU and honestly the phonr and online customer service needs to majorly improve. Thr life guards are hardly there and working aswell. Please come there at your own risk.

I recently moved to Drogheda from Wexford, and as I like swimming I joined Aura. First thing I have to say is the people working there are second to none. Very courteous, polite and really helpful, I was made very welcome from the getgo. I am a Senior Citizen and at € 30 p.m I was really impressed. Facilities are excellent. If you are from the area and want to exercise in pool or gym I personally would really recommend Aura Leisure Complex

I used to be a member about 3 or 4 years ago and I just signed up again to only find out that they have the same gym equipment but only 100x rustier and dirtier. They never clean the equipment apparently nor do they maintain it. Lockers in the changing rooms are either broken or have no keys to use. Disappointed to say the least considering they have the same price but worse quality. Only reason I came back was coz of the swimming pool which I haven't used yet and hopefully it isn't more disappointing. They definitely need to invest some money for a "face lift". They never clean their gym equipment, it's so dirty and rusty should be illegal to operate.

Little swimming pool with two lanes to swim. Mixed changing room: sorry but I need privacy to change clothes... Swimming pool is cleaned but there is a lot to improve hygiene level.

Toilets and changing area dirty, needs constant cleaning with volume of people on swimming class days. More cleaners and more often please Aura !

Fantastic facility. Every town should have one. Great equipment. Lovely staff, greatly and some truly smashing bums. Well done all involved.

Today it was my first time and I wanted to get membership but at reception they hand me lots of paper to fill and then I understand but they were not helpfull anyways I paid pay as you go and suna is old not look after at all even where drinking tap water place was not even clean I would not recommend anyone to use this place extra stuff wonder around pool side area.

Very disappointed with the customer service and rebooking system. I have two very sad girls - I couldn’t even explain properly why the classes were cancelled, they couldn’t understand why…😖 One thing I’ve learned after this experience - Aura doesn’t care about their current customer - you are just a number to them. No apology no nothing.

Excellent staff, professionally trained and they always make sure that place stays good for families as well and everyone can enjoy their time nicely, I know they are renovating Gym now but should improve lockers.

Update: Vastly improved since they rolled the online portal for booking. Lessons are good and now that you can book online, I'm very happy with the service.
