Hotel looks nice, but as said by others we think that the staff could be a bit more friendly. We had a room right above the function room. Every night of our 4 night stay was full with parties going on, one evening two parties. Obviously, for the party people it was great I can imagine. But for us it was a bit too much to have parties going on every single night with very, very loud music. When I went to the front desk to ask politely if any more festivities could be expected, one of the staff members said literally: "This is Dublin in summer, that's what we do, we have parties...". Erm, okay ... But we are also paying guests and paid no less then €1100 for 4 nights. And it shouldn't matter if I am there for a party or for a break! The parties went on till late and then the guests would go outside to be very loud beneath our bedroom window, which was the patio of the function room. To be honest, one of the staff members tried to book us into another room, but that was only for the last night and because we had to leave early in the morning we felt like it was not worth the hassle anymore. If you want to have a wedding here, you probably will find all you want and need. If you're staying for a short break with your family, I'd say book elsewhere. Not worth it. Unfortunately this hotel has lost our custom.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The room was impeccably clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The staff offered excellent service, making my visit truly enjoyable. Additionally, the dinner at the restaurant was not only delicious but also showcased the hotel's commitment to providing a memorable culinary experience. Highly recommended!

We had our DHL service awards here just recently, and the hotel was amazing. Staff are the big attraction friendly helpful courteous and professional. Rooms are stunning, and food is stunning. I live locally and would never consider this as a place to stay. Most people would travel hundreds of kilometres to stay in a hotel but I am of the opinion now to say why travel for a hotel experience foe a relaxing weekend we loose the stress free experience by traveling long distances to and from far flung hotels. This is a gem. I can't wait to book a night or two with my wife and just relax. We look after our elderly parents and a break not far from them is a reassuring in case we have to get back in a hurry. Imagine too the lack of a carbon footprint, little travel costs, etc. We as Dubs have great hotels, this being one of the great ones. Or just drop in for a coffee dinner or a drink in their bars. They even have board games for you to choose from. Haven't played scrabble in years. 10 out of 10 all the way. By the way, they have a spa and pool too what's not to like.

This hotel is amazing they gave us a free upgrade to a suite. The room was spotless, the staff were so friendly they couldn't do enough for you.The food was lovely. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. We will definitely be back and telling all family and friends. Thank you for making my birthday so special.

Staff could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming. Walked into the pool and spa area to find a completely overcrowded pool, more of a kids play area to be honest. Wasn't very impressed with having to walk through the main lobby to enter/exit the spa and pool area, would have preffered to have a more private entrance. This hotel is branded as luxurious, and although the food and drink was nice, and the rooms were reasonably priced.. I found it difficult to find anything luxurious about my stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are truly incredible! Very friendly and always going above and beyond to make our stay more pleasant, especially helping our two young children! There were so many little touches that made an already lovely spot just perfect.

Had a lovely couple of days here and it is top class. Great location and fantastic grounds and golf course. Food was top notch and there cocktails are also unique and very tasty. The bedrooms are very well appointed and super full Irish breakfast was like a dinner . Definitely recommended and I will be back.

Stayed here for one night during the week. Really easy to get to, plenty of parking. All the staff were top class. Plenty of gluten free options and staff fully understand. Got a lovely beef burger for dinner, beers, and fry for breakfast. Only issue I had was that there was an extra bed in room which made it smaller. We were just a couple. Other thing was that we couldn't close curtains properly. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely place to stay, also all staff were wearing masks correctly. Thanks guys

I have received a "relaxation for a tea"gift... in the restaurant: The tea came with sandwiches and deserts. Only fruits and macaroons tasted good. /Waiting staff very nice and attentive. Massage In the Spa was good and relaxing, massage girl was nice and polite. Overall: Enjoyed swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Reception at the spa need to pay more attention to the details, not to ruin the day of the client. Demanding to pay extra for a gift card treatment when it's your gift a bit over the limit. And yes ! I have clarified that when Booked my spa day.

Dear Castleknock Hotel Team, I recently had the pleasure of booking a stay at your hotel and I wanted to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer service that I received. Despite the unforeseen situation that arose and prevented me from being able to attend my accommodation, your team went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I would not be charged any fees for the cancellation. This level of flexibility and understanding truly speaks to the high level of customer service that your team provides. The professionalism and empathy shown to me during this difficult time was greatly appreciated and has left a lasting impression on me. I will definitely be recommending Castleknock Hotel to my friends and family, and I look forward to the opportunity to book with you again in the future. Thank you once again for the outstanding service. Best regards, Gustavo Bandiera.

Just back from a one night stay in Castleknock. We availed of the 'special occasion package' and the experience was great. The 3 course meal in restaurant 22 was fantastic, as was the service, and breakfast had a good mix of healthy and traditional foods. The room was very comfortable and even had a proper coffee machine. We were very impressed with the value for money considering the hotel's location to Dublin.

I had purchased the a package which came with dinner and breakfast included. Food at dinner was terrible. Didn't finish the main that I had and my guest was not impressed with his main either. Waiter forgot to bring water to the table. We had chicken wings for starters which was the highlight. No pen provided to fill out the breakfast order which was late the following morning. I left feeling quite hard done by given the total for just the night was a couple of hundred. There needs to be a clear breakdown of what makes a 4 star a 4 star however this certainly is not it. Castleknock hotel has a really nice lobby which is perfect for a cuppa with a friend. Great spa facilities to boot. The hotel has more potential and greatness than what I experienced and I would not stay again.

Booked the Time For Two - 2 Nights BB, 1 Dinner & Chillout Hamper recently and stayed Sunday/Monday. We had a great time and felt totally relaxed during our stay. The staff throughout the hotel were brilliant and very friendly. Hotel was clean, room was great. Dinner or our 1st night was lovely and we had some small bites over the two days which we enjoyed. My wife had a spa treatment which she really enjoyed. We both used the tonic health club facilities which was nice and chilled.

5 star experience in Castleknock Hotel across the board. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, top drawer facilities in the gym and spa. The staff are friendly and very professional, having the coffee dock in the lobby is a great touch as are the vending machines on each floor for drinks and snacks. Would highly recommend.

What a fabulous night. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here and everything was lovely from the room, the staff and the food. I would recommend this hotel no problem. And even a lovely setting to have lunch or a spa day.

We arrived at a pleasant looking place. Checking in was easy, however when getting to our deluxe double room we were exceptionally disappointed. Not only did we have two single beds rather than the double as you would expect, we were also dissatisfied with the overall condition and quality of the room. For a 4*, it seemed to me lower than a 3*. The breakfast was cold, although plentiful and had the cheapness way about it. Fatty cuts of bacon, low quality sausages and you had to ask for what you wanted rather than being allowed to help yourself in the regular way, as is at a self-service buffet. This, I believe was another way to cut costs, emphasising another cost cutting cheap way of making money. We shall definitely not be returning again.

Hotel was lovely and clean, rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We had access to a Dyson hairdryer, nespresso machine, electric fan and TV within our room which was great. The staff were very attentive and one in particular Gavin was extremely helpful and polite. There was a sports team staying on the evening we stayed and you would never have known, there was staff everywhere we turned with a warm smile ready to help. Very relaxed atmosphere, looking forward to my next stay.

If you want to feel spoiled, this is the hotel to choose. Everything exceeded my expectations. The spa facilities were spotless and well equipped, rooms were secure and very comfy, the restaurant was well staffed and the food was great along with the service. The only minor issue I ran into was that the back/spine jets on the jacuzzi tub weren’t working. A pool staff member walking by said they’d worked a couple of days ago and that he’d make up a maintenance request. Then he kindly restarted the (rest of the) jets for me as they were on a timer. I’d definitely come back if we’re in Dublin again.

From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was simply amazing. The Romance package we booked exceeded our expectations with the inclusion of a bottle of prosecco and chocolates upon arrival. The cherry on top was the delicious three-course meal offered. We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and attention to detail throughout our entire stay. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to come back.

Went for lunch here recently for the first time and honestly am already looking forward to my next visit. We had the absolute pleasure of having Raul as our server who just went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. Couldn't speak highly enough of him. Beautiful hotel, amazing food and 5⭐️ service.

I was staying here due to a business meeting and the experience wasn't great at all. I was told I will get a room on the second floor because there is a wedding on the ground floor. I could still hear the noise and loud music throughout the night. The 2nd floor basically doesn't have any insulation. My room had a connecting door to the next room. The door was locked but you could hear everything through the door as if they were in the same room. You could also hear everything from the corridor; the speaking and doors being opened and closed etc. I was told my room would have a walk in shower but instead it had a tub and a disabled toilet with a tiny sink where you cannot wash your face or teeth and it was also placed very low, maybe half a meter from the floor. The room was also really dark, there was no light in addition to the table lamp and the light above the entrance. It just wasn't very great room in general in terms of layout, placement of the furniture etc, as if it had been just thrown in there. I would not want to stay again in this hotel, they shouldn't have given me such low standard room with the company price I paid and also for someone attending a business meeting. With the price of a w4 star hotel you get quality of a cheap motel.

From the moment we arrived with a feast of prosecco and chocolate strawberries awaiting us in our room until check out the six girls had the best time celebrating a birthday. Lunch and dinner was fab. Compliments to chef Andy and his team for amazing food. The service in the bar and restaurant was exceptional. Andrew looked after us for the most part. He surprised the birthday girl with a cake and candles which was a lovely touch. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back in March for a spa break this time.

We had the most amazing girls trip away here. We had the spa package with dinner bed and breakfast. Food was amazing, spa was brillant, all amenities were fabulous and the staff really made our trip. They were wonderful and so helpful, warm and welcoming. I would really recommend staying 😀

I was there for food in the bar area early evening on new year's day. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming on what was a cold and wet night outside. Service was friendly and efficient and food was delicious, I chose a curry to warm my insides. It's a beautiful hotel with ample parking and not far from the phoenix park.

Amazing place. The child and us had an amazing few days. Was a mix up when trying to book in, but the Martin the concierge went above and beyond to get it sorted with the loveliest manager Daniel. Daniel is exceptional at what he does, he does his job effortlessly with a warm smile. This well b a regular place for my family from now on.

We have been here 3 times, 2019, 2021, and 2023. Every single time, we have been happy with our stay and even planning our next trip there. The rooms are spotless, The only thing is the last time we stayed there, the curtains were falling down, and the safe was broken. We informed the staff and when we returned at 7 o'clock they were fixed. The staff are friendly and bubbly and happy to share their opinion on food, drink and places to visit. The location is fab with beautiful views and at Christmas a lovely light display. The hotel is very near the city centre while not being too close, we also loved it because of the stillness and quietness Thank you for our lovely stay. Castle knock!!!!

Castleknock Hotel consistently offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for quality time with family and friends. While the overall experience is excellent, there is room for improvement in enhancing the dinner menu for a more delightful and flavorsome dining experience. A place as charming as Castleknock deserves nothing but the finest culinary offerings.

I stayed here recently and had a meeting the next day at the same venue. The staff were lovely from check in to check out. I had a small single room which was perfect for what I needed. I had a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was really good with a great selection. The evening before I ordered a sandwich with a side if Chips. The portion was huge and great value for money the same with lunch the next day. Well worth staying it has everything you need and more. The meeting room was just what we needed. Tea, coffee and pastries, staff on hand if there were any issues with tech etc. Plenty if bottled water still and sparkling. I will definitely be back!

Honestly one of the loveliest hotel experiences I've had. Gorgeous hotel, for starters, and the staff are absolutely lovely. Great value for money, they all went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be coming back again in the near future. Also, the food is perfection 👌

We booked Castleknock for our wedding. They all went above and beyond for us. The staff, the food, the service, the wedding room were all simply out of this world. We couldn't have asked for better. The wedding coordinator has an extremely difficult job and did it with such grace & understanding. she were a pleasure to deal with. everyone in the hotel that dealt with us on our wedding day & the day after was simply amazing. Every single one of our guests were beyond impressed and haven't stopped talking about it. The hotel & staff really are top class!! Thanks so much again Sarah & Nader

Was at the hotel for a day for a conference. It’s very nice, facilities are very clean and the hotel is well designed. The restaurant was serving a fixed price buffet breakfast. There was no option for ordering something smaller, probably due to covid, keep it simple. Hopefully a selection menu will be available in the future.

We stopped here for lunch and had one of the nicest experiences. We ordered a the seafood platter and it was absolutely delicious, the seafood was so fresh and there was such a great selection. The menu options here are really good, it’s good value for money for what you get and for the quality of the food, highly recommend the food here. The terrace dining area is so beautiful too.

It was wowed when we arrived! Everything looked so greenery and pleasant: the accommodation, the surroundings and the dining area with great ambiance. One of well-equipped and feel so private when staying here. Very convenient even taking the bus to the city, the visitors can enjoy the landscape along the road to downtown Dublin 🌳✨

Great location. Room was tremendous and very clean. Large flat screen television and the biggest bed I have ever slept in. Nothing was to much for staff. Meals from evening dinner to breakfast were excellent and drinks were reasonably priced. Free parking was welcome and grandchildren enjoyed the pool. Will revisit and thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel

Fantastic Hotel. Just back from a 2 night break here with friends and we were very impressed on our first visit. The hotel was very clean, fantastic big bedroom with a comfortable bed. The lobby was very airy with loads of sofas etc. We ate in the hotel on both evenings and our waiter Raul could not have done more to help! He was so cheery and attentive each night. Would definitely go back here if I am in the area.

What an experience. Professional and accommodating above anywhere else in Dublin. Food was grand, coffee was great, room clean and the bed massive. True professionals of hospitality work at and manage this hotel. Guest services managed to store my luggage when I arrived too early and supplied a lovely afternoon of coffee and cakes. Accommodating doesn’t describe them. Highly recommend.

We stayed here January 1st 2022, as we were visiting the lights at Dublin Zoo. The hotel was busy but didn't feel crowded. Staff were very good, myself & my husband both made comment to how good they were. Food was very good also. Only gave it 4 stars as we found our room warm even with the AC on. But definitely will be returning.

I visited this lively hotel when my friends daughter held a party here for her own daughters Communion .. The room where the party was held was decorated beautifully with round tables set out like a wedding . There was a room beside the main room and that was were the children's entertainment was held . Then the food was set up with4 different dishes . Each one was delicious. .. if I was ever intending to hold a party I would definitely consider . The Castle knock Hotel

Fabulous hotel, beautifully decorated. Gorgeous rooms with attention to detail. Heated floors in the bathroom, a pillow menu, Nespresso machine. We ordered room service breakfast which arrived on time and warm. It was very generous and delicious. We attended a wedding and the food and service was perfect. We hope to return.

Nice pleasant hotel, good rooms, nice pool area, modern, clean and everywhere is well kept. Best gym I've ever seen at a hotel. High quality of staff on reception, coffee bar and house keeping. Unfortunately let down by select few staff who let the side down in Bar 22, which I've reviewed separately but it marred our stay. I'd recommend eating out for lunch/dinner requirements when staying here instead.

A group of us local ladies had a coffee morning today in the hotel. We dined in the outdoor area The Terrace .The added bonus was lovely sunshine plus the very nice doorman provided us with sun cream & sunglasses. A nice touch. It was very enjoyable & relaxing. Staff were so professional. Ice cool water was provided The coffee & scones plus jam & cream were delicious but the lemon drizzle cake was to die for. Prices were very reasonable. Will be back

Stayed here for our wedding recently. The hotel is really nice, modern and has a relaxing atmosphere. The food was very nice. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy any of the facilities because we were so busy with the wedding stuff. There was a large stain on the bedroom floor which was surprising for such an expensive suite. Good experience all round

Been here 4 years ago and the service was fantastic, clean rooms and amazing food. Just been here once again for an afternoon tea for my sisters birthday and the service has gotten even better. Very attentive. The quality of the food was amazing, the drinks were beautifully made and tasted amazing and they even surprised my sister with a birthday cake and a whole group of staff sang happy birthday to her. Really made her day. Overall my favourite hotel and the staff made it my favourite place to go to. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Had an afternoon tea here for my birthday and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Firstly the food was fantastic the hotel was beautiful I would give 5 stars alone for that. The staff was the best part of it all, the service and friendliness of everyone there was amazing. I merely noted to the waitress that I was celebrating my birthday with my sister there when they ask what the occasion was and to my surprise at the end they brought me a surprise dessert and had all the waiting staff sing me happy birthday. They completely made my day with how thoughtful and sweet they were. I’ll be taking my mom here for afternoon tea again really soon.

The receptionist upgraded us to an executive room for free. The amount of staff all over the hotel is brilliant, each and every single one of them are so happy and obliging. The hotel is absolutely immaculately, spotless clean. A shout out to Sergio behind reception and Andrei in the bar. Keep up the great work. Will be back hopefully in the near future.

Fabulous hotel but the staff just absolutely make it. Every single one of them were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was a problem they were amazing. Food, service rooms, everything was excellent plus the hotel is spotlessly clean with sanitisers everywhere loads of room and places to sit. We didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. 5 stars from myself and my friends!

Lovely stay for 4 nights. Service and staff were the most accommodating during our travels. Easy taxi to dublin, but service gets more spoty later in the evening. It's out of way for pickup, but they have great local guys that help play tour guide during your ride. The spa was great, and amenities (sauna/steam/pool) were well kept. And great gym to start your days with.

Gorgeous food, one of the tastiest burgers I ever had and great drink options for the non-drinkers. The terrace is beautiful and the little touches like the pots of SPF and sunglasses available were brilliant. The coffee bar in the lobby is lovely too and the whole hotel has a lovely feel of comfort and luxury.

Visited the restaurant here for my mother in laws 70th birthday lunch. The service was absolutely fantastic. Cannot complement the staff enough. The food was absolutely spectacular. The deserts were very nice. Servings where just nice portion sizes but we're all so full. The atmosphere was lovely in the restaurant. We do frequent here regularly for family dinners and 99 percent of the time everything is just great.
