It's one of field sports (field athletics) in Balikpapan. The owner of this field is Pertamina (Indonesian Oil Company). It's also the place for Balikpapan Anniversaries, for Independence Day Ceremony etc

My favorite place to do my jogging,everyday. Nice,clean and greens with many choices of jogging's track. Just loved it.

Consist of 4 large field, and the main field is called "lapangan dua", when the ceremony or event held. These field are crowded especially in weekend, either morning or evening. Lot of hawker stall is offer street food. Populer for its sunday morning car freeday. During the night is also crowded when youngster hangout near the field along the way to coastline called melawai.

The field is the most favorite spot for people around the city to spend their sunday morning. There were various street food and several games for children.

Anything you could do here, gathering with some friends, community, jogging, playing football, volleyball, eating some streetfoods, or just enjoying the situation. One of street photography and human interest photography spot where many kind of people gather and do many kind of activities. The morning and the afternoon in the weekend would be the best day to enjoy those situation.

I only wonder why can't easy to find garbage can until today 🤔. And many people throw away plastic waste on the grass 😢

A nice place for jogging or another sports. In here, you can buy food & drink. Don't forget to buy salome titoti because it's a good food to try. And buy scroll egg at merdeka field number 1, near kps school.

Legendary public space!

When first time I came to Balikpapan in 2011 I had already visited or kept visit this area till currently in 2023. So many people over there folks moreover on saturday and sunday or on off day who do excercise and gather with their family!!! A comfortable, safe and tranquil place folks and when time for perform salah has come, do not worry folks, there is a big and beatiful mosque folks (Istiqomah Mosque)!!!👍💯🙂💙🙋👌

Not bad, to spend time with family. If come Saturday afternoon and sunday morning it's very crowded traffic and parking slot.

Love the crowd here when weekend but I hope this place is more organized (the street foods, the parking area, the trash, etc)

Good place for running and exercise in the city. There are many food stalls and paddlers sell snacks and drinks. Just right for treats after doing exercises.

We can do many actifities there, especially exercise and playing with our kids. There are many of food and beverage stalls, so after do our actifities we can eat and drink easily.
