The airport of my hometown. I witnessed this airport from just an airfield until it turned into an international airport. From only being landed by propeller planes until now, many jet planes have landed here. Its area also increased very significantly. Now this airport has many facilities, from coffee shops to restaurants, from places to shop for souvenirs typical of Kalimantan to ATM centers. Check-in places are lined up neatly at the airport. The toilet is very clean and fragrant. Hopefully this airport will continue to develop and be kept clean as a local heritage

it's been renovated to a modern international Airport, but I can see here is not really well maintained...some public facilities already broken and not operated

Good points in this airport: clean toilet, lots of praying room, lots of restaurant choices, modern building. Some of need improvement subjects: some of escalators were found damaged, some of store spaces were not occupied, second floor was not utilized (it is a pity the second floor can be used for shopping malls, etc). Update: I posted an update from this airport from last visit. I give 2 stars to this airport because of several things I found: escalator and elevator were not working/damaged in the 1st floor, direction sign to the mosque was not accurate, entrance to the mosque was not proper

This airport is really big and hilarious. What I really like from this place is pick up and drop off passenger can be done inside so that families and friends can accompany the passenger to go to their flight (going to boarding gate as well). Not like any other airport in Indonesia, this airport also serves a lot of service for visitor. I found that this place is the only airport which has Matahari mall. What a scene!

Just 20 minutes from the city centre. The airport terminal is new and spacey. All necessary services available here such as WiFi, Check-in kiosks, wrapping service, souvenir and handicraft shop, restaurant, ATM, money changer and car rental.

Modern, comfy airport, spacious, friendly services from staff, lot of places to sit and to stretch your foot at the boarding lounge while watching the runway as your view, mini playground to your kids, cinemas. Things to improve is your please fix the urinoir in man’s restroom because it’s clogged, even in another restroom is clogged, need to improve the air conditioning because is still feel hot.

Just transit from JKT to Berau and vice versa. Overall, the air port is clean. Just need some improvements for food corner. There are some new food store which good.

The new airport is really big and clean. I love the architecture, they put a lot of Kalimantan character in it, and they let some spaces open so sometimes we can see many small birds fly around the waiting room

Accessibility to this airport is quite good. Very clean and cozy atmosphere. Not crowded. Spacious area. The staff are kind and helpful.

The First modern airport in Kalimantan with sea view. The pick up area in first floor and the drop up area at second floor are crowded. So many car stop over 3 minutes and many of them park. It's crowded.

I think this is one of the cleanest airport in all of Indonesia. There are a lot of check-in counters and I think a total of 11 gates. Although only one check-in counter often is dedicated for each flight, the queues are moderate. Staff are very friendly and helpful when asked for information. Toilet are cleaned often and stayed mostly dry. Waiting rooms have plenty of seats but charging ports are not in a convenient position. Baggage claim during arrival took quite some time. Overall, very satisfied with how this airport is managed.

Airport is new and clean. It is not crowded. It has good facilities; reading area, play area for kids, even water stations to refill your water bottle. Free strollers are available for people with small kids tk use. Overall, nice airport to use. The a/c is not as cold though. Feels more like a fan.

Arrived here for my Derawan trip. The airport was quite clean. For airport transfer I can ordered online taxi (Go Car, also available Grab Car) which is great ! Even I could meet online taxi officer there to help me ordered my car.

Modern, well designed and operating as airhub for East Borneo. Accesible from the city center of Balikpapan. The areas are clean and well kept. This airport will serve the new capital, Nusantara in the near future.

Beautiful and clean airport, but the temperature on check in area so hot like no air conditioner there. Pls we need more air conditioner here.

International scale airport, clean and very modern. Transit point when going back to the city of Sengatta. Many comfortable and inexpensive hotels are available near the airport, you just have to be smart in choosing them.

Airport at Balikpapan City... like a mall cause there are many tenants for coffee, dessert, minimart, etc... but i'm going to airport for pound day with our comunity... there are one place outdoor beside the arriving to do this without disturb other passagers...

Huge and representative international airport, biggest in East Borneo. Clean and nice.

Most staffs are friendly and kind, from front door until aerodrome. Some facilities need to be fixed, such as praying place near gate 1 on the 4th floor does not work, toilet near ATM machine is closed. And in the last few months, traveling with luggage, passengers need more time to take the goods to entry door after checking in. In peak hour, there is a long queue. Some facility at checking table does not work properly.

Great airport, very clean but will need more people travelling to help all tenants open back again. Still a lot of check in place not occupied.

Airport was nice and clean, can be improved by adding travelator to make people easier moving around inside airport building. Need more water in mens toilet urinoir

Overall it is a good fancy architecture airport. Visited on 2017 and the place quite big and clean. The shopping places ans restaurant quite nice.

Clean airport fasilities. there are several restaurants or selling snacks boat, if you are in transit, don't worry about starvation.

Visited on 2017, a fancy airport in Indonesia with great facilities of shopping place and restaurant. The area quite big but not too big. Overall, it is clean and nice place.

It is a good airport with nice scenery. It also provide real time schedule in the middle of the airport. The check in place is quite spacious for you and make you comfortable when you have check in. The waiting room also very comfy with a lot of charging station provided. There is also matahari at the 1st floor. Don't forget to not bring any liquid when you in the international departure, they already provide dringking water in the lounge.
