Could be known as ‘Gerard’s Place’ because this eccentric host has made it his own unique venue. It’s much like staying as a guest at his house and he will give you a full briefing introduction. The large house itself has been decked out over many years of hosting and is thoroughly well appointed. The shared lounge with Chesterfield suite and gas fireplace is much like a Hotel Lobby. We stayed in the ample lower level front room and were impressed by the huge bathroom, the kitchen in a cupboard and sumptuous bed. The main kitchen was fully kitted out and well stocked with all your breakfast needs. Genuinely great value for the facilities provided.

Fantastic B&B. Family owned and run, Gerard and his partner keep the place immaculate. The apartment was spotless, modern and spacious. I was in the Red Room, and even though you are on the main road, you only hear the traffic if the sliding door to the balcony is open. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is huge and bright. The artwork and decor is subtle and yet empowering. Especially the Red Room with the pictures of Ayers Rock and red feature wall. With the little balcony court yard out the front that has the views of the beach and river from the outdoor setting. The communal lounge area is well laid out with the breakfast dining table positioned with views of the beach. The location is perfect, being only a 3 min walk into town, beach or the golf course. So much to do and everything within an hour to an hour and a half of the apartment, from Helicopter rides to the Twelve Apostles, Rainforest walks to secret little beaches and Waterfalls. Some delightful little places to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. Perfect for short stays, but Gerard is more than happy to work out a special rate for long stays like mine. Be sure to call him for bookings over 6 nights. Thankyou for an awesome week away from life. So that I could live a little.

The host Anna was very warm and welcoming. After showing us to our room, she briefed us on the facilities. The dining, living areas and kitchen were common areas which we were free to use. There were beverages, juices and breakfast items which were stocked daily in the kitchen. There was even port for guests to drink. Our room had a fridge and kettle, tea and coffee too.

What an awesome experience. Such a lovely place with plethora of nice little touches that make the experience cozy, private and welcoming. Loved the artefacts in the living room. Gerard was extremely kind and informative, told us everything we needed to know to travel around. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of choices. Also, really close to all the restaurants in town. Definitely coming back to this one! Thanks Gerard.

We stayed at Casa Favilla for 3 nights and booked two out of their 3 rooms! It is well decorated and has everything you expect from a good bnb. Most of all, Gerard lives on top floor and was a call away from anything we needed! He’s a great host and did everything he could to meet our needs. I’m very much grateful and would %100 go back there if I ever stay in Apollo Bay! Highly recommended
