👍👍 I have been facilitating trauma informed kickboxing classes at Krav Maga Melbourne for over a year now. Everyone in the coaching team should be commended on their commitment to protecting women and trauma informed practice. A wonderful LBGTQ+ friendly space for all genders but especially women. Just finished the 6 week women’s self defence course led by Sarah and assisted by Naomi. An amazing course full of practical real-world tips and training. The lessons often went slightly over the 1.5hours allocated as so much was packed in but to me this was a bonus; the time also passed so quickly. Each session was super informative, fun and physical - be prepared for some bruises (badges of honour really!). The scenario drills at the end were intense but so worthwhile to put everything we’d learnt into practise. I went to a few regular classes too (included when you sign up for the course) which were also brilliant - all instructors there are so skilled but also really decent humans that are also hilarious! I will definitely be continuing my Krav training in the future once back from an overseas trip. Thanks to the whole team - you guys all rock!!

Hands down the best Krav school in Melbourne. They have some of the highest trained instructors who push you each and every class. Woman's course was informative, intense at times but structured so you can go at your own pace. Worth every penny. Massively multi cultural training team and a good social life as well. highly recommended

I discovered Krav Maga Melbourne on Instagram and liked the practical application of their classes. As someone with no experience in martial arts, I was nervous and hesitant to start training, but my fears soon disappeared once I learned how amazing the people were. I signed up for levels 1 and 2 of the Women’s self-defence courses and have been attending regular classes. The team here at Krav Melbourne Maga Melbourne are outstanding. Not only are the instructors highly skilled, but they’re also incredibly supportive. They do their best to make sure you feel comfortable in each class. I highly recommend people try them, especially the women’s self-defence course!

I attended a private training session with 5 other colleagues, all women, to learn self defence and it was amazing!!! Krav maga in general AND our instructor, Ruairi. (pronounced Rory) Ruairi is a phenomenal instructor. We felt very safe and well looked after during our weekend with him. I couldn't have hoped for better. Highly recommend.

Krav Maga Melbourne provides a safe and welcoming environment in which to learn practical and useful self defence. The instructors are all passionate about helping people gain the skills, confidence, and attitude to protect themselves.

Krav Maga Global affiliated school, established by Eyal Yanilov. Instructors are very well qualified and cater perfectly to new and experience people. Well equipped location allowing for training in many scenarios. Instructors make sure to demonstrate techniques and tie in real world examples and real world scenarios so you can actually see what each defense / attack aims to achieve. Early morning and evening classes, Saturday classes also including times for the little ones! Great way for kids to start to learn awareness and how to avoid bad situations. Seminars are run throughout the year including knife defense, ground defense, even defense in a car! Come down and have a look, ask some questions, everyone is always happy to help!

I’ve walked past this place a lot lately, and have been keen to try it out. I’ve checked the website, but didn’t give much in terms of what happens in the classes, fitness or Krav Maga wise. Managed to walk past at a good time, where someone was in the gym and tried to talk about the stuff the website didn’t have any information on. Got told ‘this is a private session, go to the website’. Big oooft. I’ll be looking elsewhere now. Shame. Looked like a good gym too.

Krav Maga Melbourne is a fantastic place to learn self defence, and to get fit at the same time. The large instructor team are all extremely friendly and professional, and cover a broad range of fighting and self defence skills. The gym has been recently refurbished, and is a great environment to train in, as well as being very easy to get to from the CBD.

I trained here for several years after decades of taekwondo, mma and bjj and I absolutely loved the focus on practical applications of martial arts and the clear delineation that the instructors provide between what works in 'real-life' and what doesn't. The Krav Maga techniques taught here range all the way from completely avoiding conflicts, de-escalating to enaging with proportional force, escaping and alerting authorities when appropriate. They incorporate practical techniques from a lot of martial arts and the syllabus is constantly stress-tested and enhanced. This is definitely NOT a mc'dojo. Furthermore, the Krav classes are supplemented with mma and bjj sessions every week! The club instructors and the club atmosphere is amazing and everyone is made to feel welcome and people are helped to improve, no matter what level they are at, by everyone involved. Highly recommended!

It was fun and empowering to learn how to defend myself. The instructors were really knowledgeable, they are trained by the KMG official organization. I enjoyed getting fit while learning what to do in serious situations as well as what not to do, legally and for the limits of my body. The studio is custom built for scenario drills instead of being like a gym environment, even the walls move so Australian Customs use it for practice.

Have had a great experience at Km Melbourne, have continued to enjoy their classes, women's courses, bootcamp offering MMA and BJJ in addition to Krav Maga. Highly recommend for women apprehensive about starting at a fighting gym. Great culture and people. 5

Great club with very knowledgeable teachers who always take the time to go above and beyond to help you. Highly recommended for women who need to learn self-defence. Or anyone who wants to have fun fighting!
