Iron
Infusion
left
me
in
the
emergency
ward.
A
few
years
ago
I
received
an
iron
infusion
at
this
clinic.
The
nurse
did
not
inject
the
needle
correctly
and
even
after
my
mentions
of
being
light
headed,
feeling
pain
at
the
site
and
feeling
unwell
she
decided
to
continue
with
the
rest
of
the
infusion.
The
Doctor
came
and
checked
on
me
afterwards
due
to
me
feeling
unwell
and
sent
me
home,
regardless
of
a
golf
ball
size
swelling
at
the
injection
point
(I
will
try
and
find
the
photo
of
this
while
still
in
their
clinic).
My
partner
at
the
time
being
a
nurse
instantly
saw
the
issue
when
I
got
home
and
took
me
back
to
the
clinic
where
they
were
very
shocked
and
apparently
fired
the
nurse
on
the
spot.
I
was
told
to
raise
my
arm
and
go
home.
Later
that
night
I
woke
to
a
crazy
fever
and
huge
swelling
in
my
arm
pit
and
was
rushed
to
emergency
where
I
spent
the
next
24
hours
on
a
drip
and
getting
scans
and
answering
questions
from
confused
staff.
No
compensation
was
given
from
the
medical
clinic
and
I
still
have
slight
discolouration
on
my
arm
from
where
the
iron
soaked
into
my
muscles.
They
offered
to
pay
to
cover
the
costs
of
laser
to
lighten
my
skin
on
the
splotches
but
I've
decided
against
that.
Traumatic
experience.
