Neptunes fountain is a beautiful fountain right outside of the library of Congress. The water was very blue and clean. It was interesting to see their depiction of Neptune in statue form and the surrounding architecture was well designed.

Can you find the turtle spitting on the horse’s head? :)

Gorgeous nautical themed fountain right in front of the Library of Congress right behind the US Capitol. The fountain is meticulously detailed and of the finest craftsmanship. Great place to snap a picture before you head into the library. And I HIGHLY recommend continuing on into the Library as it is incredible as well 😊👍

Amazing architecture! I absolutely enjoyed my visit! Even though there is a partial government shutdown I saw no signs of trash or negligence here. It wasn't crowded so it made for some really good pictures to be taken.

A very beautiful set of statues right in front of the Library of congress. By the time I visited it, it was dried. But I should be amazing when in activity. I do recommend having a look at it before entering the building.

This fountain was showing on my map, and I still couldn't find it! I toured the Library of Congress and then came out to wait for my Lyft...and there it was. This beautiful fountain! The details are spectacular. Simple where they need to be, yet very majestic. I love the turtles, my kids would have been beside themselves over these turtles. (A very good spot to schedule a Lyft.)

Beautiful! Don't miss it if you took the tunnel from the Capitol Visitor Center instead of the exterior entrance.

Don't miss this spot next to library of Congress. If you have the chance to visit D.C on summertime, it´s incredible and beautiful.
