This place is amazing. Your up late, you want a very great meal, it's 1am, where do you go. let me tell you, the avenue is the the place to be. Not only do they have amazing staff,(look for Jose, John, or Joanne) they will treat you right, along with making a bomb steak and cheese(and hookah on the side) overall very great people and service

Good hooka/shesha lounge! We ordered two of them and both had great flavor! Would definitely recommend trying the paan raas and blue mint. The server were pretty low and didn't respond to calls that's the only drawback ! Good place over great flavor options and food menu ! Also try the crazy fries !

So, I was in the Bethesda area and decided to stop. I placed an order for the double cheeseburger, medium WELL. Received my burger and it literally was bloody so I took it back and she re-made it no problem. They weren’t truthful about their buns, the website states “Brioche” and I even asked when I was placing order and she confirmed. I received my order also my remade order and both times it was a sesame seeded bun!!!!! Not to mention, the bun comes cold with your WARM food. Who does that??? I’ve been in the food industry for well over 10 years, who puts cold buns on supposedly hot food? it makes the food cold eventually….smh. I don’t like sesame seeded buns which is why I confirmed brioche but got lied to. The fries were WAY TOO CRISPY AND GREASY!!! And I didn’t ask for fried hard, they were literally like super greasy chips and very hard to enjoy due to it being no potato. The cheesecake was the best thing I ordered and should have been the only thing. All in all I rate this place a 3/10. Definitely wouldn’t stop again if i’m in the area.

My burger was delicious. This was the first restaurant that I've seen that serves beef bacon 🥓 on their burger. This was something to write home about. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Jose was so pleasant and friendly, he checked on me and my friend, making sure that we were alright and that felt good. I am going to definitely make this my regular spot, for sure. If you haven't been here, please make that a stop in your day.

I told my server I have allergies and still bought out a salad with everything on after I ask for only lettuce and tomato and ranch dressing and told me I still have to pay for it and didn't want to change it and we had a steak and cheese and it was nasty and terrible

Food was very good and simple menu. Was flavorful and done quickly. Definitely a good late night spot after leaving the bar.

Got a bacon cheese burger with fries. Very satisfied, I haven't had a burger that original and good in a while.

Avenue Cafe is a reliable late night food spot. Everything I’ve purchased as been spot on and the costumer service is always great. Jose treated us especially well—making sure everything was just right. Whether you’re craving something savory or sweet this place hits the spot!

I ordered fries they where old and greasy and had bits and pieces of other food from the fryer in them. It was very nasty 🤢 definitely over priced I also had 4 chicken strips for 10$ and online it said $7. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Thank you Avenue Cafe for serving great eats at such late times ! As a restaurant manager, I get off late sometimes when everything is close but Avenue cafe is open even later than when I’m off! & the food is always fresh and delicious ! I highly recommend the steak and cheese sub as well as the crispy 2x Buffalo chicken sandwich. But to be honest , from what I’ve experienced - you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! I appreciate y’all at Avenue cafe!

Not only are they open late night, the food is DELICIOUS! I came back 2 days in a row for their cheese steak sandwich. Their Mango Habanero sauce is to die for on wings or fries!! I will definitely be coming back! I had the pleasure of speaking with the GM Jose who was incredibly personable, knowledgeable and kind! Great place!

I was so excited to learn we finally had a hookah/sheesha lounge in Bethesda and their hookah is great!! The space is beautiful and clean. Their staff and food is amazing too. I’ve been many times since I lived around the corner and have no complaints. I’ve even purchased a few Khalil Mamoon hookahs and hookah products there for myself and family members, which they sell at a great reasonable price.

Great food, but they move so slow. Our food took 45 mins and all we ordered was a burger and fries.

I would not hesitate to go for the food! Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Special requests are always welcome and accommodated to the best of their ability. Steak & Cheese is among the best in the area. If you are looking for a late night option this is a best bet. Food is prepared fresh so it's not sitting under heat lamps or just warmed up like some places.
