Great pub to visit for a drink in the city with absolutely amazing customer service. Came in here for a quick drink in the afternoon, was very quiet but the staff were very attentive and helpful. Far better service you would receive nearby in the city at some places. Drinks were made fast and to high calibar, cannot complain. Bathrooms were great too. Definitely come done for a visit, food looked good too. If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews

We came for breakfast & overall quite a good experience. The full English breakfast was fairly good, generous portion & relatively good value. It was rather spacious inside, neat & clean. However, it was rather understaffed on the day & hence service was a bit slow.

Emilia is this amazing girl that is always there to help. She gave us a nice service and always with a positive attitude. We are regular customers in this place and we always enjoy the stay here. Well done Emilia and the team, always a pleasure to come back

Conveniently located near St Paul's station, this spot offers a decent drink and quick service. The prices are typical for London and the service was satisfactory. However, the unexpected raffle ticket sales pitch felt out of place. Overall, a solid option if you're in the area, but there's no shortage of alternatives nearby.

Emilia always greets us with a lovely smile and serves her promptly. I saw her clearing all the clean gasses from the machine in one go, she smiled st me as I was waiting for my beer. thank you Emilia for an amazing service.

We came for dinner after the Advent service at St Paul’s. Lovely walk from the church and a great spot to take a photo of the dome. Friendly welcome from helpful barman. Ate sausages as fisherman’s pie not available. Served with tasty crackling but no veg. Young’s beer & others on tap. Football was playing on screens but plenty of quieter seating for chatting.

A GREAT TIME! Went with some friends for lunch, the food was exquisite and they had a very good wine collection, which we really appreciated. The staff members were all very attentive and kind, and our waitress, Emilia, made our evening even better. Definitely coming back as soon as I’m back in town!

Charged £8 for a single gin and tonic which was a beaker of ice. Despite the large choice of gins the surly barman didn't bother asking me which one I wanted and chose the premium. Poor service, I do not recommend.

We booked the Paternoster for our wedding reception in April 2022. We were looking for a more informal venue with lots of space for us and our guests to mingle and chat. We were impressed with the event-booking process: the managers were really easy to work with and were happy to help with lots of things from setting up the space, liaising with our florist, and making sure our playlist worked OK. On the day, everything was well organised and smooth-running and the food was excellent too. We'd definitely recommend the Paternoster to any couples looking for a classy but relaxed reception or celebration.

🌲🦃 went in for Christmas menu and food was excellent. Thanks to Young's pub group. ☎️ Booking process staff over the phone was excellent. Accommodating some late requests. 👨‍💼 Service was okay. Nothing great and nothing poor. 🍻 Ambience was nice with some regular and some decorated tables. The bar was busy on Wednesday lunchtime. 💲 Food pricing was city average.

Nice pub/ eatery. The atmosphere was nice. Got fairly busy after a while as located near the old Bailey. I can't give an estimated price as I was a guest.

Had big early Xmas for family of 16 here. Can’t fault the staff in planning the event and their service and attentiveness on the day. Had a lovely area in the corner. Food was good. Would definitely book again.

Thanks to Giulia and the team for hosting us last night. Despite it being the busiest night of the year for Christmas Parties and the place being very busy, it all still felt very much in control. Service remained calm and efficient throughout the evening (we didn't eat). Good location right next to the tube, great atmosphere and fun times!

Lovely atmosphere and food. Came and had some food off the Sunday menu and it did not disappoint! Had the chicken roast which was juicy and well seasoned, absolutely delicious! Had some drinks after and tried the alcohol free amaretto sour based on the bartender’s recommendation, Makeda, and it was extremely good! Wait times were short, staff were professional and friendly, and the service was immaculate! will definitely be visiting again.

The staff were very friendly and our waiter, Basel, provided an excellent service and went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome. The reason for not giving full 5-stars is that I was the only vegan out of about 8 of us and there was only 1 vegan option. That said, my friends - all meat & dairy eaters, were happy with their food, although I suspect that they may also have been tempted by a wider plant-based menu as I have experienced when going out with meat & dairy eaters in the past, very often opting to dine out with me at vegan restaurants.

Food was decent and the place is nice inside. Really poor service though. The lady who served us might have been new, she didn’t know where to find things on the till menu etc … but the man who seemed to be in charge gave her basically no help. She got our order wrong, then forgot two of the drinks. After it took an age to correct the food order mistake we said it was too late, so cancel and refund the one dish, which the manager argued about and was borderline rude. I think there are better places nearby.

A huge thank you to Giulia, Reges and team Pat! We celebrated our big day here last week it was amazing! All our guests hand a fantastic time. The food was incredible and the space was perfect for what we needed. I could get married here every week it was so good but I think my wife may get annoyed. Thank you again!

I went to this pub a couple days ago for food and it was amazing. The fish and chips is stunning and their burger is to die for. The pubs atmosphere and service is unmatched to any other pub I’ve ever been to. The staff were super friendly. The general manager especially made me feel very comfortable and taken care of. They recently underwent a refurbishment and the interior is beautiful. I would highly recommend!!!!

Good atmosphere. Lovely pub. Could improve on customer service. Went on Wednesday evening with a friend a few weeks back, plenty of free tables and seats, but was asked to stand up and leave the table as apparently the place was booked, yet nobody was using most of the sitting space for the ~35minutes we were made to stand. You guys could have at least informed us before we bought the drinks. Promising place, but definitely need to rethink some things and work on customer service. Thank you very much.

Lovely pub at St Paul, nice caesar salad. The only downside is the duck egg is cold, directly from the fridge.

Located right around the corner from St. Paul's Cathedral! We went here for breakfast on a whim. The food was worth it! I had a full English breakfast and the price was reasonable. Great atmosphere. Not very busy either, but it was fairly early in the morning so that made sense. Would go back.

Fantastic experience here, came across the pub when sightseeing in London. Fast service with a wide selection of alcohol, staff were very accommodating when it came to food requests, one member of our party was vegetarian and he had many options available on the menu. Definitely recommend to anyone passing by

Arrived at 12:20 for 6 people for a booked Sunday Roast and they only had 3 roast beef left. Ordered 3 beef and 3 vegan and they arrived after an 1hr 10 wait - slightly cold veg and mediocre food. The wait staff apologised for the delay saying they were rushed off their feet, but there were only another 2 tables in the whole place - it could not have been more quiet! We were then told post-main that if we wanted dessert it would be another 20 min wait before we could even place the order as they were so busy. Again - by this point, there was probably only one other table having the misfortune of also eating here! One note is that the vegan parcel was actually better than expected considering the three of us eating it weren't actually vegan and wondered what vegan pastry would be like!

Had a large group of 30 of us, the guys (and girls) had prepared us a nice area that was cornered off and it had a cool sign with our names on it!! We had pre ordered some buckets of beer and a couple of bottles of Prosecco that were waiting for us as we arrived which we all thought was great! The sharing boards that we ordered were really great also we didn’t even make it through all of them but the team gave us takeaway boxes for our food so we could eat it when we got home. Overall really great experience would definitely recommend to everyone looking to book for a large groups as they were all super accommodating!!!

Are tourists not served here? I was allowed to accept the menu card at the bar. After that, however, no one came to the table to take an order for my dinner. An employee cleared the tables around me and saw me with the menu card in front of me, but ignored me. I then went somewhere else to eat. It could not have been due to the amount of guests present. The pub was almost empty at 5.30 pm.

Top pub, nice and quick service from staff. They have a good selection of beverages including wine and gin. They also have a few TVs there for sports event. Recommend to book tables during busy hours, otherwise you might end up standing.

Very nice retro style pub. I liked the service and the individual approach to each client. Good service, you can have a good rest with friends. Recommend to visit who will be in the area!

Young's / the paternoster has the best breakfast in the area and probably amongst the best full English breakfast I've ever had. Eggs were perfect, poached or fried, black pudding was good without being greasy, the bacon is crispy and tasty, the beans (something i usually skip) are special to the pub and worth trying, a proper slice of sourdough toast with butter, the pork and apple sausages are good, even the most basic of mushrooms and grilled tomatoes are well done - even the decaf lattes were good. No complaints, friendly staff and generally a quiet place to eat. There was one occasion where the staff were dragging around all the tables and rearranging the furniture while we were eating but they did apologise profusely afterwards. Well worth a visit and if you are in the area at breakfast time, an absolute must.

So happy we found this place on a bank holiday where 80% off the pubs were closed! What a welcomed pint is beer and great fish and chips to have as a afternoon meal! The beer selection is exceptional and the food was well prepared! Will definitely be returning!

Stopped by on a Saturday evening and genuinely enjoyed the vibe. Not too busy, but lively. You can order from an app to the table, but I found the bar staff super approachable and kind, Makeda in particular. Cool bar will be back.

Regarding the service at The Paternoster. I was served by Makeda. She was extremely friendly and polite. I was extremely pleased with the service that I had received. Over all great experience, She showed lots of energy with a friendly vibe. Excellent service I thought. And for sure I will be recommending, The Paternoster, to my friends. Thank you.

Came in on a busy Thursday with a great atmosphere in the pub. Great selection of beer and high quality food. Staff were very accommodating and helpful considering how busy it was, making us feel very welcomed and they couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention to Rocky, Taja, Olena, Amina and Daria. Thanks again for great service. Had the beef burgers with a side of the crispy chicken and it was faultless. Would highly recommend and can’t wait for our next visit.
