Apologies for the lack of photos - we were having too good a time! We visited as a Party of 12 and had pre-ordered our food for ease. Between us I think we sampled pretty much most of the Sunday menu and every dish without fail was hot, well presented and delicious. We had 3 children with us and their food came first to allow time for them to eat at their own pace. The staff were friendly and extremely attentive, to the point of checking before handing a plate over in case it was too hot to hold. A special mention to staff member Nicki who protected my wine from the family whilst I visited the bathroom 🍷 On a serious note, we were at our table for around 5 hours and at no point were we rushed or asked to vacate. It was a truly enjoyable visit and we have already rebooked to return. The Red Lion - your staff are a credit to you and really topped off an excellent afternoon, so Thank you.

Absolute gem of a place. Lovely pub with wooden beams and great decor. The staff is super great. The atmosphere is amazing with excellent food. From decor to service to food, everything is 5 star. Plenty of parking spaces too.

We went here on Sunday for roast dinners and we were not disappointed. 3 of us had roast beef and 3 had the trio roast. The roast beef was amazing...tasty moist and it melted in your mouth. Excellent portion sizes and tasty gravy. The trio roast had 1/4 chicken roast beef and pork with crackling and bread sauce. My daughter had the passion fruit Eton mess and I had the chocolate bomb that was supposed to melt when you poured the warm chocolate over. . unfortunately this didn't work but didn't spoil the pudding..it was still delicious. Would definitely recommend this pub for the food and the beautiful gardens..

Service was slow with only one person behind the bar. We sat outside for two hours and didn't see a single member of staff come out to clear the many plates and glasses from the tables. The gents toilet was reasonable but there was no soap to clean hands properly. It is not a pub that I would make a point of going to, it is convenient that is all.

Visiting the area from London for a few days. Came in for dinner and had a lovely evening. Dishes were high quality and service friendly and efficient. Nicky (restaurant manager I think) is lovely with great banter and we shared a good few laughs. Recommended!

Had a wonderful experience here yesterday to celebrate our wedding. We had the private area, which was lovely - just the right size for 8 of us and separate enough from the rest of the pub without losing the atmosphere. The service was warm, welcoming and very efficient. We felt very looked after and special! The food was absolutely top notch, special recommendation for the pan roasted lamb - a stunning dish! Thank you for having us and being a part of our special day. We will definitely be back.

Took my family and young grandchildren for the Santa brunch. There was a warm welcome, a real roaring fire, cozy atmosphere and a huge breakfast. There was plenty of time for a relaxed visit to Santa and a bag with little presents for my grandson. Everyone enjoyed the visit which exceeded expectations. Well done Red Lion.

Great service as always. Staff are very polite, friendly and good fun. Food was delicious, I had the crispy duck & noodle salad. It was amazing. My friend had ham, egg & chips. We both had dessert, apple & damson crumble with ice cream. We will be back in a couple of months, it’s our regular lunch venue. My only niggle would be the car park. Some very big pot holes & always seems to be flooded. Definitely needs attention.

Booked a table as received a birthday offer for a free meal when buying another. Waiting staff were so friendly, and always available for any queries. We both ordered steak and these came incredibly quickly and were delicious, generous portion sizes and very hot. We also ordered desert, an apple crumble and a sticky toffee pudding, both of which were unbelievable and once again came very quickly. Nicky, in particular, was so friendly, warm and helpful, we felt very looked after. Definitely would recommend!

We were on a holiday visiting family and this pub was recommended for great food and service. They weren't wrong. Great atmosphere with the most welcoming staff. We were greeted by Eleanor with a friendly smile and as we had a dog, were ushered to a table in a corner where we enjoyed best meal, wine and cask ale. Try the Doom Bar cask ale and the Douro from Portugal, you won't be disappointed. So get to The Red Lion and meet the staff for a great night out.

We’ve lived in the village for a number of years and visited the Red Lion several times. Whilst we do prefer the new decor, the prices have gone up whilst the quality of food has dipped. It costs £4.25 for a large coke! The Red Lion is nice to visit as a treat but not affordable regularly unfortunately. Mains are £16-19. Beer and wine is £6-7+.

The food was fantastic and service was great too on such a busy Friday night. It's a little out of my usual price range especially the wines, but as it was a set menu, three courses for £32.95 was exceptional value for money. I'd love to visit more often, but tend to limit my visits to special treats.

the food was delicious (we had the whipped brie, hake, dirty burger, chicken burger, and fish & chips- all were great). the service was fast, and the staff were really helpful. Sam our waitress was super lovely and friendly, we thought she was great!! the only thing that wasn’t so great was the live music in the bar area which was a tad loud and not to our taste (don’t know if that’s just sundays) but that’s just personal opinion! overall we had a fab time, thank you

The experience was indeed very enjoyable. The decor is of excellent standard: in fact exquisitely planned and presented. The food was enjoyable and presentation good however, king prawn sandwich had three battered prawns in a crusty loaf, which I thought two carbohydrates together ( large crusty delicious loaf and three deeply battered prawns needed either mayonnaise prawns inside the loaf as it seemed particularly dry and tasteless. Starters were good and dessert menu appeared to offer a varied choice. Bread offered as a sandwich needs to be varied such as wholewheat etc.

Trio of roast was served missing the stuffing cracking and bread sauce, only two tiny roast potatoes. The floor manager is extremely rude the second you mention the menu over sells the meal that is offered. Not worth the money.

Amazing food! So tasty everything we ordered was great the prawn starter also the squid both amazing. Dinner is the sweet potato curry with chicken. Desert is cookie and ice-cream! Only downfall is the group of drunk loud 'boys' shouting and swearing by the restaurant area.

Popped in for a bit of early dinner, was absolutely lovely. Sticky chicken starter we shared and I had the buttermilk chicken burger, my partner had the half rotisserie chicken and my son had the mini sliders which he thoroughly enjoyed, will deffo be back again soon.

Welcome , service and food was excellent. The place looks lovely and fresh, chairs are very comfy plush material. The whole place gives a groovy yet elegant vibe. Food and drink a bit expensive. Would be nice to have deals at the weekend as well ie: 2for1 cocktails not only Mon-Thurs. Unfortunately the male toilet was out of order our end of the seating area and it was strong sewage smell when entered the ladies rest room. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Hi We were in the lion for New Year’s Eve Had a great time. The restaurant was full the food looked lovely. My concern was the smoking area,I don’t smoke but I could see people arriving for a meal and they had to almost fight their way through the smokers standing in front of the main door.I always thought the smoking area’s were meant to be at least 3m away from any doors. I had a drink in the lion just after it reopened and to get in i had to step over 2 big dogs at the entrance where their owner was smoking. Andy

We arrived on time, we were allocated a nice quiet table, the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was my Birthday treat and I loved it. Thanks for the free meal offer. Much appreciated. Well done all. Best wishes. John J.

Yummy food. Staff great. Will just say the camambert , yummy as it was was way over priced... everything else was reasonable. Good food, wines, drinks front and back gardens. Apparently a revamp due. Thought its great as it is, back garden could b made over if anything .. a great pub restaurant ...

Very welcoming staff. The waitress Nikki was very attentive. I ordered fish and chips and it was perfectly cooked, the portion was very generous aswell. I had the sticky toffee pudding as dessert and it was delicious. I would highly recommend it.

We use this pub a lot as its our local. We always have great service and our waitress, Nicky, was excellent as usual. She was so good with my mum and always has a smile on her face. My one and only negative comment is that I think the pub could do with a bit of a makeover. Its a very popular pub especially for food.

This is a long overdue review for one of our favourite local pubs. We often come here with family and it's always very welcoming with a decent menu of tasty food; my favourite being the pork belly with scallops. Nicky (the manager I think?) deserves a mention for always being fun and helpful. On one occasion she was particularly kind in looking after one member of our group who had eaten too enthusiastically and nearly choked. Overall recommended as a nice place for an enjoyable family get together.

A great place for good meal. I’ve never had anything bad there, but OMG THE STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING!!! You can tell this is definitely homemade in the kitchen and freaking amazing! If you are ever in the Pulborough, Storington, Horsham area, plan on getting dinner here.

Good beer, lovely staff and customer service. Place looks and feels tired. Seating old and uncomfortable, with mismatched poor fitting cushions that are worn out especially for prices charged for food. Food seems pretentious for price, with seemingly incomplete meals.

Lovely local village pub. We have visited The Red Lion a few times this year and every time has been spot on. Food is always lovely and there is a great selection on the menu. The service has always been top notch. Nicky especially was lovely and accommodating, checking in with us throughout our meal. Katie also was a fab waitress. Thanks to the team for a great meal.
