Just been for works outing at the horseshoe . I am gluten intolerant and they were so helpful as it is difficult usually to order . I was given a small ipad to check all the allergens this is amazing . Great service and food our work college recommended this pub and I will take my hubby next week . Welldone Chloe and Abi see you again soon

Outstanding place to eat... And they serve aspals! Such a hidden gem, the quality of food was amazing. We went late afternoon, the staff are so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I will so be back. Everything cooked fresh.... Thank you so much

Food is a high standard, but we were advised all the Yorkshire puddings had gone (Sunday roast at 7 pm). But they were on our plates when we were served! It is very busy, so maybe not the best time if you want peace and quiet. We will be back, but maybe not on a Sunday.

Pros Had an amazing evening here the restaurant is lovely as were all the staff, they were so polite and welcoming. The valentines meal was really nice and well priced Cons The table wasn’t ready which was okay as you could be it was busy and waited 15mins a the bar for a drink and we didn’t get served. Seems they need 1-2 more people that evening. But wouldn’t stop us returning

We had a great pub lunch here after a walk in Kent countryside. The food is to a very high standard and good selection. The decor is very nice in both the bar and restaurant areas and the staff are very friendly. We had starters, mains and dessert and all dishes were great. They also have a good outdoor area when it is warmer and plenty of parking. We will definitely be back!

We stumbled upon The Horseshoes whilst out for a days drive. Wonderful looking place so we had to stop for some lunch. We were greeted by a lady at the bar and was taken to a table. They did full table service and at no point rushed us. The food was beautiful and far better than we’ve had in some more expensive places. All the staff we spoke to were very polite and welcoming. Prices were very good and together with outdoor seating and parking makes this a lovely place to eat at. We’ll definitely be coming here again.

Had a beautiful Sunday roast here not for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. Homemade tomato soup was thick creamy and delicious, partners chilli squid equally delicious. Great choice of different gins, only criticism would be the rather high prices for their wines. Real log fire, great ambiance and thoroughly recomend.

From the outside this looks like a small village pub, but it opens up to a large area with lots of seating, the decor is like a swish restaurant with plenty of room between tables. We visited on a Sunday, good menu with a selection of roasts and alternatives, staff quick of the mark taking drinks and food orders, food was very good with good sized portions. Large car park and the bar seating area is dog friendly

Great food and amazing wine selection. Went for the pie, and it did not disappoint. Would have liked to have seen some other beer options and not just standard pub pints. But I would definitely recommend it.

Staff are always very nice and helpful. We have a fussy eater when it comes to burgers but the team always serve our daughter a deconstructed dirty burger, which she loves. The food is always amazing and great value too. I can honestly say i have never visited a place where my expectations are met or exceeded every visit. From the amazing staff to the delicious food.

This was the 1st time we had been back in nearly three years as the last time we left before ordering because of the very poor service or lack of it !! This time could not fault the welcome we received was very warm and friendly! Food was delicious - two of us had the pork and one had the dirty burger again could not fault the food or the service both spot on! One of the party had a starter - mushrooms and two had the dessert of the crumble both were delicious and they would recommend both items. Will definitely be going back!

I have been eating and drinking in here on and off for many years, it's an up market pub / restaurant now, the service was very good on my last visit. It has a large seating area outside, there is a fenced off pond in the grounds. I found the cost of a beer (IPA) to be very high £6.75 March 2023. My review here is only based on a drinking experience.

I am not a habitual complainer, but then again i am certainly not afraid to complain when necessary. I am very pleased to say however that the Horseshoes gave us no cause for complaint whatsoever. Quite the opposite in fact. The ambiance was extremely warm and a welcome contrast to the dire weather outside. The real fires and attentive service set the mood, and the superb food and drink completed the picture beautifully leaving the lasting impression of a great place we cannot wait to return to.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Kent. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Thanks to Barman - Toby for a lovely drinks, cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection of beers. Ella & Abbi were great, efficient, happy and polite. Not to forget - Mathew for delicious Pork belly, Burger, Lamb rack, pizza & Steak. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in and around Kent.

Really loved our experience at the horseshoes! Easy to find and nice rustic decor inside. All the staff were super friendly and genuinely looked like they were enjoying work which is infectious! We both had a roast (pork belly and a duo of beef) they were both delicious, like unreal. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so thank you! 😊

Rolled up last night with no booking. No problem. Had delicious glass of wine while they cooked fantastic vermicelli and lamb shank (separately). Looked after so well. Brilliant evening out.

We visited for the 3 course private dining to celebrate our wedding. From the moment we contacted the restaurant to discuss the possibility of booking your team were so helpful, and this continued throughout the planning and preparation, and again on the day. All of the staff were polite, professional and accommodating and it was very clear how organised the team are. The food was absolutely incredible and there were so many compliments from people. We really can’t thank you all enough for helping to make our day so perfect and we look forward to returning again in the future, especially to celebrate our wedding anniversaries in years to come.

We ordered starter, main and dessert and all were brought out at timely intervals. All served at just the right temperature so we could dig straight in. The chocolate bomb desert was also absolutely delicious. The restaurant was clean and very inviting. We will definitely be back 👍

Great food. But, very expensive and hard work picking your own gluten free options. Not shown on the menu..Good portion sizes. Don't buy the wine unless you have saved up! We will probably return as a treat but far too dear for normal families.

Very friendly staff, and remembered from previous visits. Drink order taken quickly and delivered while we were browsing the menu. Food order taken when we were ready. Starters arrived in good time and were delicious and hot. Mains arrived in good time after our starters. Both main meals were beautifully presented and very tasty and also hot. Asked a couple of times (which was adequate) if all was OK and whether we needed any drink top up. A very enjoyable evening thank you

Return after ten yers I suspect it’s changed hands since we last visited. Venue incredibly busy, all tables in our section ended up full. Efficient staff welcomed us and took us to our table. Service rapid up the end of main course. Starters were delicious, not least my partners liver parfait! My scallops were nice, though one of the items the scallops sat in was slightly odd. Main was a beef duo, nicely cooked quality beef, veg well cooked and potatoes crisp but mildly undercooked for my liking. The Yorkshire was a mild disappointment bit dry and lacking in texture. The portions were massive and generally great. Following the end of the main course it took quite a time before we had an opportunity to order dessert, which wasn’t a huge issue as I was full. Ordered the delicious blackcurrant dessert which was superb. The non alcoholic watermelon drink was superb. Toilets were very clean and well presented. It’s been ten years since my last visit, a good experience, a couple of minor niggles resolved and it would be brilliant Polite mostly attentive staff.

Pork belly and scallops were off the scale! Truly one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Have been dreaming of it ever since! Overall, very impressed with every aspect of our visit. Top marks for the kitchen and front of house. Super lovely ambience. Everything was great and I will be recommending to all and sundry. Can't wait to come back for more!

Sunday roast was delicious, just wish there was more of it! No horseradish 😅We sat in the pub area as so busy, great stuff. The bar staff were lovely, attentive and efficient. Congratulated the chef on food quality and flavour,. She was lovely too. That's lots of lovelies 😁 Dog and child friendly. Great, laid back atmosphere and lots of relaxing seating available and open fire... Not lit yet, warm October

Wonderful pub with beautiful food. Service was exceptional. I was there to celebrate my birthday and was brought out my desert with happy birthday on the plate which I thought was a very kind and lovely thing to do

Really nice place, love the character/ambience, it's not too loud and there's plenty of parking too. Dog friendly bar area and great variety on the menu. The food is always delicious but unfortunately service is very very slow- I've visited 3 times and on every occasion we had to wait over 20 minutes just for someone to produce the bill! However with more staff this place is definitely a winner.

Amazing food and hospitality. Haven't experienced such good customer service in a long time. Extremely speedy service, kind and efficient staff. Would highly recommend. Birthday surprise dessert was the icing on the cake.

This was our third visit to this lovely pub/restaurant. We went on 21st July 22, and as always, a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food from a varied menu has always been appetising and beautifully presented. Staff are lovely, highly recommend this venue for a mid week treat or a special occasion. There were four of us dining and the bill included drinks.
