The restaurant was pretty full and we had to wait around 15 minutes until our scheduled table was free for us to be seated. The waitresses attended to us quickly but the drinks took a while to arrive. The food was served with great presentation and in good quantity, however the rice was completely unsalted and the roast chicken was not very tasty either. The vegetables were well prepared and tasty. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Never been here before, easy access to car park off the roundabout, with extra parking if required. Lovely entrance and greeted by staff and seated promptly, didn't make a reservation either. Drinks order taken and arrived quickly. There is something for everyone on the menu, deals during the week, festive and also the main menu. I ordered the rib eye, and it was cooked perfectly, I asked for a side of blue cheese, and they got that sorted with no problem. Would of loved a Stilton sance with steak, maybe that could be put on menu in future? Tables are spaced out quite nicely, so you don't feel you're on each others toes, lovely decor, and atmosphere. The staff were great, and a credit to the pub. I will definitely head back here again if in the area.

Excellent service and food. My wife and I came here for an evening meal Tuesday. We were seated by a male manager, who was friendly and informed us of the new menu. Our waitress Siobhan had a positive attitude and was very attentive. Brilliant service! We didn't wait long for anything. What an amazing team, tasty food and lovely pub.

Lovely pub with a great choice of food although quite a few items were not available that evening. Our drinks order was taken within good time but then we waited such a long time for them we were definitely more than ready to order food and gave our order to him. Our waitress was wonderful and really pleasant but had a lot of tables to serve so not as attentive as expected. I have to say the lamb shank was delicious, so very tender and the gravy and mash perfect...would visit again just for this meal! Husband and son's steaks were sightly overdone to how they wanted them so consider that if you order steaks. Puddings were delicious but again not everything on menu available even though we booked an early table. All the food was well presented. Overall, an enjoyable evening meal.

Booked online, very straight forward. Nice welcome greeting. Staff polite & friendly when ordering our meal. Good choice on the menu with further choice from specials menu. Good variety on the drink's menu. Service was prompt & efficient; food was well presented & tasty. Pleasant atmosphere with nice decor.

Real ale was well kept and poured. Food was really generous and filling and nice and yummy. Seems like a popular local, small groups sitting eating and chatting but not much noise. Nice sit and relax type of pub.

The service was wonderful. The staff here are always helpful and polite. We were so disappointed though with the new menu. Why have you removed the mini puddings with coffee option ? Most people do not want a huge dessert after a meal. The mini puddings were our favourites ! Everything else was perfect !

Went here with the family, great service, very polite staff and just a top atmosphere in general. I had the mixed grill from the specials menu and it was outstanding and perfectly cooked. For dessert I had the cheesecake which again was great. You can tell this place really cares about what they do and their service and quality of food is testament to that. Thanks!!

Fantastic. Amazing food. Great service. Taz our waitress was warm, welcoming and friendly. Manager is brilliant. Best mixed grill ever... Anywhere. Amazing buttermilk chicken burger with pulled chicken. 100% best ever. Highly recommended.

Lovely venue with private parking and outdoor seating despite location. Building is lovely and staff very welcoming, clearly working hard. I had already looked at the menu and struggled to find something for me, however I asked for a starter to be a main in a salad. They had cauliflower wings and I assumed they would serve a garden salad. Unfortunately, they only had ceasar. Although tasty, I didn't have many florets and it became very boring quickly. After our meals the waitress mentioned they didn't have much in salads, I said, not a problem, it would change once the spring menu came in: that was the spring menu. I would suggest they need more lighter vegetarian and vegan options as personally I don't want just burgers, curries and nut roasts. I'm sure there are others watching their calories too. Wine was about £8 a glass and that wasn't the most expensive. Ladies toilet needs a good clean, stained limescale in the bowl gives off a rancid smell likened to the smell of urinals. I wasn't impressed considering how lovely the rest of the venue appeared. Personally, I won't be in a rush to return. Perhaps I will wait until the summer menu comes out.

Food was not bad, the mushy peas portion with the fish and chips were very meagre, especially for the cost, likewise the portions of custard, not even a small jug full-only half full, especially at the prices of the desserts. Waited ages to be served, only one waitress serving, the staff were excellent but need more serving staff on a saturday eve. Our table was booked for 7pm, we did not leave until 10pm, purely due to slow service. Might come again as food was lovely, we will see.

There was a wam welcome and the staff who served us was very efficient. The menu is excellent and there is a really good choice. When the meal arrived it was very well presented and hot. Overall this is a much improved pub and highly recommended. .

Food was okay for the price. They had some good lunch time deals. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Decided to stop off for a drink and light lunch. Staff were lovely, we ordered drinks and chilli con carne nachos to share between the two of us. On a positive, little tomatoes were lovely but sadly that's the only positive. Felt it was very poor value for money - £9.75 for nachos with very small amount of chilli, very small avocado, very small sour cream. Plus, not much cheese which was "plastic cheese". Won't be having this again.

Wholesome food together with friendly and helpful staff, a lovely bit of christmas pudding and festive music - just what we need right now. It definitely lifted our spirits this evening!

This places is very magical and majestic in the summer and especially around Christmas time, highly recommend!

Birthday Meal on a Thursday evening for 6. Seated promptly, varied menu, quite busy inside. Prompt service to take order, followed by drinks order. Good arrived pretty quickly and everyone was very happy with it. Bill arrived promptly when asked and payment likewise - a very well run pub, with a varied menu and no fuss ordering too. A good place to return to.

Really lovely Sunday lunch. So pleased with the vege option which was delicious. One minor point roast potatoes were undercooked but everything else was perfect. Really friendly attentive service from young lady called Emma.

As always the food was great and tasted fresh. Covid precautions were brilliant without feeling too restrictive. Plenty of room and tables outside, so spoilt for choice as to where to sit.

I have dined here many times, and the staff are efficient and friendly, and the restaurant has a decent feel to it, when it's not too packed. I have noticed that their prices exceed those of the Inkwell in Lichfield by as much as 10%, which puzzles me given that they belong to the same chain, and the menus are identical. I know restaurants have to respond to inflation, but I can't help feeling slightly ripped off.

Took my friends from Warwickshire here and they really enjoyed it. So went back with my hubby for a roast dinner Sunday and it was absolutely gorgeous. Food is really good quality and lovely atmosphere. Had a really good waitress too and I didn’t have to keep asking for attention. Makes a nice change.

Attended a family birthday where I can only say the staff were fantastic, special mention to Sarah. She was brilliant. Everyone had a great meal, food was excellent. Will definitely be going back! Proper Irish hospitality. See you soon

We, my partner and I drove up from South Devon, to treat relatives to a birthday meal - he was 81 on the 8th November. The restaurant was extremely welcoming and the staff were polite and attentive. The decor was homely yet modern chic. I had previously booked online and we were shown directly to our table. We were attended by waitress Sophie throughout. She demonstrated in depth knowledge of the menu, was attentive but not too intrusive; demonstrating exemplary customer service and a credit to the establishment. The menu was extensive with a wide variety on offer. My partner had Hunters Chicken, birthday more had steak which was cooked just to his liking and I had the Curry dish. All meals were well presented and of a very decent size. The experience was very pleasant made more so by the friendly and accommodating waitress, Sophie. I would definitely recommend the Old Irish Harp and will try and visit again soon.

Just had a pretty awful lunch experience here. Some of the worst food I’ve ever had, just really poor. Ordered a chicken, bacon & avocado salad which was dreadful - chicken was bone dry and was served with limp lettuce. Also had some chicken tenders which were burnt to a crisp and again bone dry. A friend had nachos which were really dry too. Just terrible and we left the majority of the food despite being very hungry.

Tried for the first time recently. Staff were good but food was awful, especially vegetarian Bolognese. Not sure what it was!

Great pub and eating house. Very nicely decked out inside. Great food. We had lunch and the sharing plate on the menu. It has a great garden and a small covered area for eating. Very chilled.

We dropped in on the off chance and they found us a table. So glad they did, the food was delicious. We had the pate starter, scampi and chicken and chorizo flat bread. The lady who served us was so lovely but I can't remember her name, Julie or Tracey (sorry)

Polite efficient waitress, efficient but not intrusive. We had 5 different dishes for our group of 6 and they were all well prepared and enjoyed by all. Puddings were also delicious. Only complaint, no biscoff crumbs found in the sundae. A small down side, our table area was badly lit (my elderly mother had trouble reading the menu) all the more disappointing when it seemed all the other tables - not all occupied - had plenty of light. This didn't distract from our lovely meal tho.

Terrible experience. Had to wait 20 mins for drinks to arrive and 45 mins for the food. The meal pictured is the mixed grill, the lamb chop (I think that's what it was) was burnt to a crisp. The mushroom was tiny and also burnt to a crisp. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were told there were no more mixed grills available! Will not be returning.

My parents eat here every week and love it. I had the chance to join them. I had scampi and chips, followed by the raspberry panacotta. All very well cooked and lovely. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable for 3 x 2 courses plus a bottle of wine

Went for a meal tonight with friends and i am sorry but i felt it was too crowded, i did not feel that the tables were set 2 metres apart, and people sitting on the sofa tables definatly were not 2 metres apart they were back to back. The staff were friendly and polite and the food was fine, tables cleaned between customers, it was just the distancing that bothered me...and yes maybe i should have left but i was with friends, on my own i would have not eaten there.

Excellent service. We we’re met at the door by Emma the General Manager who the showed us to our table. Siobhan was our waitress for the afternoon who looked after us. Food was prompt hot and delicious. Great selection of ales to choose from. We will definitely be going again to The Old Irish Harp. We’ll done to Emma and her team.

Very poor food sorry to say, nice staff and surroundings, we had mushroom started it was very dry and the salad was nasty, fish and chips for the mains, but the fish was pieces of cod very well done which cut my gums.

This was my first visit and I hope it will not be the last. We were greeted by warm, friendly staff and shown to our table. The serving staff returned promptly to take our drinks order. The menu is varied and caters well for all tastes. All of the food was well cooked and arrived promptly, on top of this it was delicious. The staff were excellent, efficient, friendly and professional. Overall a fabulous evening. I had the chicken and chorizo kebabs which was full of flavour and beautifully presented.

Too many of the options on the menu were not available. Was told by waitress this was because of a busy weekend and weekly delivery is Tuesday. No steak options or mixed grill. Restaurant was very quiet but service wasn’t great due to shortage of staff. The food that was served was nice although the pork belly portion was small.
