To
be
fair,
this
is
a
very
picturesque
pub
on
the
outskirts
of
Bridgewater,
nicely
appointed
inside
with
plenty
of
parking.
I
can't
comment
on
the
rooms,
as
we
only
eat
in
there.
Sadly,
that's
where
the
good
stuff
ends,
on
arrival
our
drinks
order
was
taken,
I
ordered
a
Coke
and
was
told
they
do
Pepsi,
that's
fine,
almost
the
same,
it
then
stated
as
long
as
it's
proper
Pepsi,
to
be
told
they
only
do
Diet
Pepsi
and
Pepsi
Max.
Why
would
a
proper
pub
not
sell
proper
Pepsi,
just
the
stuff
laced
with
aspartame,
which
I
have
severe
reactions
to.
More
to
the
point,
why
is
a
pub
making
the
no
sugar
decisions
for
me?
Frankly,
had
I
not
been
with
a
colleague,
I'd
have
gone
elsewhere.
We
sat
down,
with
my
glass
of
tap
water,
and
looked
at
the
menu.
All
very
nice
sounding
if
a
little
pretentious.
I
ordered
from
the
specials
board,
a
Korean
Chicken
burger.
Generally
you'll
expect
a
chicken
burger
to
be
made
with
chicken
breast
unless
otherwise
stated,
it
had
a
funny
taste
and
the
meat
was
very
brown,
so
I'm
going
to
assume
it
was
thigh
meat,
bit
breast,
I
left
some
of
it
as
it
simply
didn't
taste
good.
I
needed
to
have
something
to
take
the
taste
away,
so
I
had
the
chocolate
brownie
with
black
cherry
sorbet,
which
I
will
say
was
very
nice,
but
I
should
hole
so
for
£7.75
for
a
thin
sliver
of
brownie
and
one
scoop
of
sorbet.
Lovely
looking
place
that
sadly
doesn't
live
up
to
it's
potential.
service
was
pretty
good
being
fair
to
all
there
on
the
night.
These
chain
pubs
that
make
decisions
to
scrap
proper
Coke
and
Pepsi
need
to
give
their
heads
a
wobble.
Don't
think
we'll
be
back.
