Really tasty food, staff are friendly and very attentive.

Fantastic curry spot. One of the few places where mains are as good as starters. They even have Patra on their mix veg sizzler which is a nice touch. The 3 type wing sizzler is finger licking amazing! Only reason l haven't given it 5* is because the service is a little slow and we had a lot of errors when we visited last time. This said, go for the food you won't regret it!

Great food, good atmosphere. Main dishes are some of the best in Leicester. The classic Clowes and garlic chilli chicken are fantastic. Sizzlers are good but better can be found at others such as Indian Queen around the corner.

Great service from friendly staff. They know and understand the menu really well too which is always great if you're unsure. Food is packed full of flavour and portion sizes are good too. Will and have gone back plenty of times.

Having heard great things about this venue we finally managed to get a table booked recently. The atmosphere was great, and very busy. We were seated quickly and our service during the evening was good. Our food was cooked well and piping hot. I would say that the starters were our favourite. Portions are generous here, and we saw many guests leaving with doggy bags. Parking is very tricky, so be prepared to hunt for a space nearby.

Nice modern family friendly restaurant the food was hot and fresh with good portion size. The waiters were friendly with the drinks and food order. Sometimes it be good to have some separation between the bar and restaurant but that's just my opinion worth a visit.

Last time we went here was before COVID. So thought we'd try it again. We had a table booked for 6.15pm so the place was quiet empty when we arrived. We were promptly sat. Services was pretty quick. Food was tasty, portions were generous. Price was reasonable. By the time we finished the place was full. Would definitely recommend a visit if you've not been.

Don't order crispy bhaji as they were really oily. Unfortunately the menu is limited in choices for mains especially if looking for vegetarian. If a meat eater then fine. Service was quick so a good one for the place.

Tasty authentic food. Good portion sizes, however the main course curries were too oily. Nice ambience and lovely staff, kept a check on us. Paan was refreshing and cool. Parking can be a bit tricky at peak times.

Nice pub turned restaurant. Been there few times and food has been good. Servers variety of curries and starter. Fish is good and so was the chef special curries. However, more than one occasion I have had stale pint. Not sure how they storing their cags but something's not right. However, they were happy to swap it. Parking is free on the street but hard to find art most times.

I visited last night for a friend's charity fundraising meal. Really impressed by the impeccable food quality! 🍲👌 Opting for a mix of both vegetarian and meat starters, followed by Paneer Tikka Masala (w/ Pilau rice) for the main course. 😋 I'd definitely come back here another time! 👍 Restaurant and bar areas were very clean and stylish, with multiple flatscreens for the CL football last night (Genk vs. Liverpool). 😉 All-in-all, arguably one of Leicester's best curry houses! 🥘😍

This spot I’ve been going to for many years and the food is great aswell the portions of curry and Nan is bigger then normal . Today I decided to order on Uber eats . We got chicken kheema mix and veg sizzler with Nan . Never got any salad with the main dish or any sauces with the sizzler . But it was tasty and we enjoyed the flavours . Veg sizzler is better when u eat in as it’s fresh and don’t get too soggy .

Went in there on a Saturday evening, it was very quiet, only 2-3 occupied tables. The service was good, food wasn't great. I had a mixed grill, kebabs were extremely dry, couple of pieces burnt as they were very hard. The rest of the grill didn't taste great either. We ordered butter chicken and a paneer curry too, when they arrived they look a good decent size but then you realise it's only 10% meat/paneer, the rest is just sauce. Poor value for money and didn't taste great either.

Avoid going to this place under any circumstances. Customer service as well as food is absolutely rubbish. Tastless food and below average customer service. Staff as well as chef have no clue about flavour and curry type. It all tastes the same. The vindaloo was full of red chilli powder, the butter chicken was mixed with coconut milk and turmeric which you can taste through. Prakash does not seem to want to take feedback on board to improvise service, instead will argue that the food their cooking is how its supposed to taste. We had to send away our 3 main course dishes to get a replacement and the food ended up coming back tasting the same. Tasteless and not worthy of the bill we were served at the end. If you're paying £300 you'd expect a better service and decent food.

One of the best curry places in Leicester. Food always hot (temperature), perfect soft naans and friendly service. Great staff and service. We eat in sometimes but mainly takeaway as parking in area is difficult sometimes.

Not been for years...was not disappointed. All the food was well seasoned..delicious and hot ie. Temp. The staff were brilliant..Goran, Ravi, Vinay to name few. Had family from Bolton and Ex-Kent...they also had a memorable experience. A big thank you and will definitely be going again.

Visiting Leicester and wanted to try some traditional Indian food, given its high Indian population. I asked a couple in the street for a recommendation. They pointed me towards Naseeb @ the clowes. I thought it was something like an Indian Weatherspoons. Pub with a restaurant attached. I was very much mistaken. The food was really nice, I had chicken pakoras to start, followed by a lamb on the bone curry with veg rice. The staff were friendly and the service that on occasion was a little erratic, was still really good. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Horrendous service! We visited Clowes to have a meal. The waiter was not interested in serving and was more bothered about playing with his phone. The food was ordered and the starters came out quite promptly however the mains took an additional 45 minutes after the table was cleared from the starters! Totally unacceptable. The curry’s were all the same even though different ones were ordered, so I can only assume that the same base was used with chicken, mince and fish. Would never visit again and would strongly recommend anyone else does either.
