We are new to the area and sampling all curry restaurants in the area. This is up there with the best. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and accomodating. The restaurant is cosy and comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing, fresh and full of flavour. The prawn puree was exceptional, lovely touch adding tamarind sauce on the side. We tried some of the Nepalese dishes, we weren't disappointed, deep and rich in flavour and the vegetable sides were a delicious. The staff offered a complimentary drink at the end. Note free car parking on site. All in all a wonderful evening, we will definitely be back again.

Every dish inside and out of the container covered in excessive oil, nicely cooked meat as it wasn’t tough but the flavours were not there. Roti was like cardboard, everything just so oily. Never again

It was a quiet time when we went for dinner. To be fair, the reviews for this place were great. Personally I did not like the food served nor the service. There was a huge delay for the food to arrive. The food was not great and we left behind most of what was ordered. It was probably a one off. Will give it a try again as the reviews were pretty decent. First time was definitely a bad experience.

We ordered chilli chicken and bhuna chicken and there was no difference in taste. They were both bland and the chicken was dry. The naan had parts that were uncooked. If you have a taste for authentic Indian food (like if you’re Indian), I would not recommend.

First time trying local restaurant, was an after work meal so was very hungry. Food was ok what I was flabbergasted most was the staff member. She didn’t look clean and skin didn’t look adhering to the point I didn’t want my dinner to be touched by the staff. I’m never one to complain but was shocked at the behaviour either was under the influence or was mentally unwell. I wouldn’t be returning as I’m sorry I didn’t enjoy my meal with me and my partner as we were put off by the staff member. Food was ok took a long time as the staff were busy talking amongst themselves.

So pleased that the Shahi has opened as a restaurant again and as a bonus they serve alcohol. No one wants to take their own drinks!!! The food is amazing and they have an excellent selection to suit all. Best Sag Aloo I’ve ever had. Ordered 4 main meals and sides and all were perfect. Staff are very friendly and very keen to please you. Excellent service. Nothing negative to say. Can’t wait to go back.

The food here is very good. The flavour is consistent, and the portion sizes are generous. Really friendly staff that are happy to accommodate large parties.

Ordered our first ever takeaway from here on Thursday after reading positive reviews. Food was not very tasteful and was not piping hot. Figured it’s pretty cold out no big deal. Wrong! Myself and my kids all experienced nausea and stomach upsets, myself being immunocompromised, I have been unwell for three days so far since having this meal and may be heading into a flare of my illness as consequence. I don’t like to leave bad reviews and I’m sorry but I feel like i should warn other medically compromised people. Hopefully it was a one off from this restaurant but I will go back to my regular one in the future.

Really struggled for an Indian restaurant in Bracknell as a visitor but decided to plump for Shahi (bit of a walk from town centre) & what a great meal. The service was great backed up by tasty food, would definitely recommend 👌

We had two servers who were very polite, food was up there with the best Indian food I have had,and I've been to a few curry houses in my time, the atmosphere in the resteraunt was welcoming and very nicely decorated. Will be visiting again in the near future.

Really good experience. Lost in translation but loved the family and friendly atmosphere. The service comes with a smile which it replaces the lack of language. Food is amazing and the chutneys are homemade. Highly recommended!

Was hard to find a decent restaurant in Bracknell but dropped on this place. We had been working out of town and arrived not far from closing, the staff could not be more helpful and made us feel really welcome, the food was stunning really couldn’t recommend it enough, we went back home to hull with fond memories of this place. It used to be a great Indian restaurant…. unfortunately not anymore . Tonight we ordered a takeaway , all the dishes were poor , very bland, watery( like someone use frozen curry sauces and forgot the seasoning ) it was oily. The chicken was rubbery and not cooked ( pink inside), all dishes going in the bin. Will not use this place again and would not recommend to anyone else.

We recently returned to the Shahi as they had changed ownership during the first lockdown and later reopened but without serving alcohol. They now do have a bar and serve alcohol and as a result people are willing to give it a try. Their previous owners set the bar extremely high and this was possibly the biggest thing the new owners have had to overcome. Since we have returned to the Shahi we have been impressed. The decor is bright, modern yet still retains it's culture and I love the addition of Bollywood music on a TV screen. It's not intrusive, it's there should u want to look at it or just listen to it. The food was excellent. We had the mixed starter for two. It had very generous portions so maybe keep that in mind if ordering a large main menu. The mains were delicious, I had lamb naga masala which was hot but still flavoursome, my partner had garlic chilli chicken. The heat depending on how many chillis you scooped onto your plate. All good portions although we struggled to finish because we had the starter and poppadoms before, so maybe we will forego one of those next time. Whilst they have not yet met the very highest standards set by previous owner , Pom, we feel the food is excellent and we now feel we have our local Indian Restaurant back and it is a place we are happy to recommend.

This is the first time that I have ordered food with the Shahi Indian since it changed hands, and I have to say it was superb! I ordered a collection which was on time and the food was piping hot, tasty and delicious. Thank you!

Banging Indian food! The Bombay potatoes and aubergine bhaji in particular were amazing! Only thing is loads of big onions in curry, but it's big portions so those can be picked out.

Went for a meal with my son as has been recently updated and opened. Really nice atmosphere, guys working there were really friendly and helpful. Food was really good and chicken pieces were succulent and tender. Great place to eat and definitely will be going back soon.

I LOVEEEE THIS RESTAURANT!!! THEIR BUTTER CHICKEN IS THE BEST!! I have been eating here for the past 2 years and honestly is the best INDIAN I have ever tasted I cannot go anywhere else!! I have tried Indian in different places and it just isn't the same. So I'm lucky I live only 5 mins away from them and can get it at anytime. Honestly I highly recommend this restaurant above all the other Indian restaurants in the local area.

Very decent takeaway with good portion sizes. I ordered garlic chilli chicken, haryali chicken and tandoori roti. Haryali chicken is slightly salty but rest is all spotless. The chicken is extremely tender and juicy. Service is excellent and the young lady at the counter is very polite and humble. I'll definitely visit again.

They have improved over the time. It used to be coloured and sweet curries but now it's just right. I would recommend. It has reasonable price in the area!

Local takeaway and restaurant. I've only tried the takeaway and really enjoy their Nepali dishes. Sherpa rice is a big favourite in our house. Our preferred takeaway for the time being.
