Great customer service. Free hot serviettes before and after your meal. You feel like it is a fancy restaurant. The food was good but portions maybe a bit small. At the end it was enough food and free tea options plus chocolate at the end. The place is clean. The price is okay. Recommend.

Impeccable! I love Indian food and with travelling a lot for work I try to visit an Indian restaurant whenever I can. For the most part there food. Masala city however was fantastic! From the atmosphere and greeting when walking in to the food and service it was impeccable. You can tell it is managed well with customer service coming first. I even witnessed the manager commend his staff member when taking an order by memory perfectly. The waiter smiled from ear to ear! Good management! Then the food. Well the presentation was fantastic and the flavour brilliant. I have never had so much lamb in my dish. All I can say is try it and you won’t be dissatisfied. There is a pay and display car park at the rear but free from 8pm

So to start with we went here because there was good reviews I think 4.9 so for the good stuff first. The waiter who looked after us was Tony. I really couldn't fault him his attention to detail was very good, he was friendly and not to intrusive while we were eating. He gave us a commentary drink after our meal and was very knolegable about the menu. Now the not so good. They brought out our rice and nann bread and then the main meals one of which was wrong they dint take the rice away and replace it with fresh when they finally sorted the main meal out. In addition to this the manager was way way to friendly and kept trying to talk to customers while they were deep in conversation. Food was tasty but I wouldn't say it was anything special.

A cosy restaurant with nice decor and seating area. We ordered quite a few dishes from their menus. These included chicken tikka, popadom with sauces, garlic naans, naga subwal, special fried rice and tandoori mixed grill. All the dishes were exceptional. Nicely seasoned, spicy and cooked perfectly. Their staff “Ali Hussain” was very helpful and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Went for the first time. First impression was the place was spotlessly clean and i loved the dark abience. It was nice and warm too. Seating really comfortable. Slightly on the pricey side but you get what you pay for here. Everything was delicious and all meats (especially the chicken breast cubes) were cooked absolutely perfectly. Their cobra was possibly the best pint I've ever had. They clearly pay attention to every detail. Will definitely be coming back x

First time visiting, we come out to butlins for a week and usually use another restaurant in bognor regis, however this time round we decided to give Masala city a try and we must say the food and service was great, friendly staff and great atmosphere, would advise to pre book as we got lucky to get a table on a Wednesday, restaurant decor looks very modern and food had a lot of flavour to it. Highly recommended, definitely will be returning when we visit the area again.

Myself, my partner and our friends have been to Masala City a few times now - and we're never disappointed! The food is amazing, there's no doubt about that; we regularly choose this restaurant as our choice of takeaway. But what makes this place a wonderful place to go out to, is the service! My word do we get treated like royalty there - everyone does! From hello to goodbye there's staff waiting on you hand and foot and you're never waiting around waiting to order, or even having to wait very long for your food. The manager definitely knows what he's doing in terms of hiring his staff - a special mention to Anthony! He was our server the first time me and my partner came here and was just incredible; we came back again tonight and was lucky enough to have the boss as our main server - but saw Anthony again and this time remembered to ask him his name so we could give him the recognition he very well deserves! Lovely place, lovely staff - and lovely food!

In the area for the jubilee so booked online. Pleasantly surprised and impressed, far better than other Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Service impeccable, staff friendly and food superb. If I’m in the area again I’d definitely eat there again! Offered a complimentary brandy/baileys at the end of the meal. Wonderful.

We’ve gone to Masala City a few times in the past month… it’s safe to say we can’t get enough! Antony is incredible with his service- always greeting people with a big smile on his face and has a very high attention to detail. He very much understands it’s not just about the food but also the service and atmosphere. All areas is a wow factor and we cannot fault it. It is our all time favourite place to go to for a meal- the best in the South coast!

We went on Wednesday evening for the 5 course banquet meal and oh my goodness it was amazing 👏. Friendly service, wonderful food (far more than we could eat so they supplied us with take out boxes) and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. 10/10 highly recommend 👌

The food was okay, but not special. Lemon rice, was just rice with a big lump of lemon on top! Naan breads were great. The servers seem like nice people, just very inattentive. The staff (especially managment) just seemed unable to cope. We were way too close for comfort to the next table (squeezing between tables to get out, and I'm slim!) A Wednesday night and we seemed surrounded by hen&stag dos. Atmosphere felt more like Butlins than a nice restaurant. Also it was bloody expensive, and tip was already included in the bill as card machine was presented.

Such a brilliant evening. Best food we've ever had. All the staff were lovely Our waitress Jess, was amazing. Helpful, knowledgeable and very attentive. And after the "pair of teeth" incident I honestly don't think I've ever laughed so much. Thank you for a perfect evening x x

My partner and I decided to visit Masala city with our one year old son on the last night of holiday to Butlins. The food is definitely a 10/10, and quite possibly the nicest food we've ever eaten and such a perfect atmosphere. Going out for food with a little one is always so stressful, but the staff made us feel so welcome and at ease. And were fantastic with our son. All the staff and managers are absolutely lovely, and made us feel like so special. We honestly wish we lived closer so we could return regularly. Thank you for making the last night of our holiday perfect🩵

If I could leave more stars I would. Excellent food, like incredible flavours. Interesting curry choices - we went for the specials and they were both great. The service was the perfect level of attentive. The decor is so extra and cheesy that it’s perfect. What you want from a curry house. Would return any time we’re in the area.

I read the reviews and had to give this place a try! I am very glad I did, everything is perfect! The food is unrivalled in my opinion and I have eaten a lot of curries! The staff are great, very welcoming and nice to talk to. They know their menu inside out and gave advise on what to have and they wasn’t wrong! Highly recommended!

Really good food. Come here before theatre and makes a very pleasant evening. Have always had delicious food here. Service is good. Slightly more expensive than some Indian restaurants but it is worth it .

Stumbled upon this little curry house with a group of friends whilst out on Wednesday night, we had previously been to Chichester before but this particular Wednesday was lacking in nightlife. We thought to ourselves, where better else to go than for a curry at a well known establishment!! We were pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were even though it was the Wednesday banquet, and we had not booked in advance. My friends and I were met with smiles and ease as they told us there was no issue. Our hostess, the lovely bubbly Jess, was more than helpful with our every request and need!! The food was absolutely delectable, thanks to Raj and the team back of house, just what we all needed after being let down by the lack of nightlife in Chichester. All in all, would recommend to anyone, especially the Chat-puri starter which our lovely Jess recommended!

We had a lovely Sunday dinner. Perfect romantic date night. We ordered from the Sunday Set Menu and we were spoilt for choice. There was such an abundance of food we had to take some of the food home 😅. The service was friendly and well informed. The manager and his team are absolutely lovely! Always eager to help and explain dishes. We will definitely be coming back!

excellent quality food and 1st class service, but quite expensive. I'd avoid getting poppadoms (£1:25 each + £3:50 for chutneys). The portion sizes are reasonably generous. Overall, I can see why it was awarded the best curry restaurant in England.

Ordered online for two on a Saturday night. The food arrived hot and freshly cooked within the hour. It was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. A few treats were added without request. Will definitely use again. First class!

The best Indian restaurant in Chichester with National Awards. Authentic kitchen produces a very high standard of cuisine. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great atmosphere, recently refurbished to a high standard. Masala City is a great destination for celebrating a special occasion. Takeaway service also very good. Highly recommended.

I am honestly heartbroken to write this, but I no longer recommend this place. This WAS the best Indian restaurant in the area, I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. Recently the last few times I had ordered from there, the pilau rice was incredibly undercooked, it was rock solid as if it was just poured from the packet straight into the takeaway pot. The first time this had happened, I obviously thought it was a one off, I called them and they sent out a replacement, which was also extremely undercooked. This happened on 3 more different occasions and then my curries starting arriving cold too. I loved this place but I'm going to order from a different restaurant now, I'm not sure as to why they have gone a little down hill but I've personally given them enough chances, if the rice is uncooked, in my opinion it doesn't look good for the rest of the meal. This is also not just due to delivery, as I have been to collect a couple of times and still the same results!

We had an overall nice experience here for Sunday lunch. We did their Sunday offer menu which was good value and a great selection of dishes. The food was tasty from start to finish and I especially enjoyed the Sag Roll which is a creamy starter dish and was delicious. Their Masala city classic dish was also good but was lacking the "wow" factor and the overwhelming taste was sweet pepper and coconut. By the end of the lunch I felt a bit sick from all the sugar and heavy sauces I ate over the three courses (including the poppadom sauces). We missed some kind of music as it was quiet in the restaurant and could overhear conversations from the next table. Overall it was still a good experience of enjoying different kind of specialties and we even had to take away food in the end as they were large portions.

5 stars experience with friendly staff who knows what they are doing and service was brilliant. Food was of high quality with great presentation. Highly recommend this place. Prices are on bit high side, but still will come back.

Wow wow wow what an amazing Indian restaurant! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with warm friendly waiters, lovely manger and amazing chefs. The food was 10* no doubt but 5 is all I can give it on Google maps. Every part of my food, rice, naan, mains was perfectly cooked and full of flavour and it's easy to see why they won the best curry restaurant for 2021! Shame I could stop briefly between jobs but what a brilliant find. Needless to say when I'm next in the area I'll definitely be visiting again... 😋👌🏻

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and amazing staff! Our server Jess was friendly, informative and attentive, ensuring we had everything we wanted for our meal. The food was delicious and the service was fast, absolutely would recommend to anyone (even those who don’t like spicy food as it can be made to order!)
