We had a meal here on a Friday evening, it was quite busy so glad we booked. The service is very good, there are lots of staff so not a problem to call one over when you want your drinks replenished. The food is very good , very tasty and lots of it too. There are plenty of check backs so could not see how you could give a bad review , if it’s not right you have lots of opportunity to get it put right. We were offered a complimentary drink, not sure if it cos we paid cash but it was very appreciated. We paid £35 each for too much food and plenty of drinks so exceptional value for money . We will deffo be back when we are next in Leeds.

If you like your Asian food then Bengal Brasserie is a must. I have returned here many time and it never disappoints! We had a group of 15 and the service and food was great as always! Thank you for making out night amazing!

Early midweek evening when we are there, so was quite quiet. Unable to comment on other times though as I have no experience of them. The service was really good, without being overly attentive. A good and unusual selection of curries offered on the wide ranging menu. For a Leeds city centre eatery the prices were very reasonable.

This was the first time I've been here but definitely won't be the last everything was prefect from the time of entering to leaving, the staff were excellent, the food was the best curry I've ever had in Leeds, so tasty from the pickle tray, to the starter, and then the main course, and plenty of food on the dish as well and the kingfisher larger was so smooth and refreshing, and would like to thank the lady who I think was the manageress for the complimentary drinks top marks all round 10 out of 10

Fantastic service! We attended Bengal tonight and from start to finish the service was 10/10. We came with a 7 month old baby and they made life so easy for us, seated us in a position where we had plenty of room for the pram and was excited to see our little boy. Food came out so quick and was delicious! Definitely going to return when we are next in Leeds. Such a warm welcome, made our night! Thanks again to all staff!

One of the finest Indian restaurants for food, in my view - the food is absolutely delicious every time. Our most recent visit was before an arena event and we'd been surprised that a booking was still available when we checked the afternoon off the gig. It appears that every request had been accepted, we arrived to a packed restaurant and apparent chaos. However, despite a bit of a delay, everyone who didn't give up was greeted with a smile, found a table, and fed well in good time to head to the arena.

First ever time here and I have to say I was impressed. Having lived in this 'area' now since 2012, this has to be the best Indian restaurant I have dined at so far. Food was excellent as was the service and it didn't cost mega bucks as well. Definitely come back here again.

1st time here, will not be the last, beautifully decorated to a high standard, professionally service warm and welcoming and the food was delicious, i had the Sylheti my partner the Garlic chilli chicken both were super tasty with tender chicken, a must if your looking for a high end curry,

Don't even know where to start .. the food was amazing the meats in the curries where the best I have ever tasted and the choice of curries on the menu is brilliant there will definitely be something for everyone. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The choice of drinks is brilliant and the service overall is just outstanding. We didn't have a reservation but there was seating available. It did fill up quite quickly, so I guess we were lucky. We had a starter and two mains. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were more than enough. The place was very clean and the staff kept it that way. The lady who took out order was very friendly and more than happy to give advice. We had a first class meal and the price was very reasonable. We will definately return next time we're in Leeds. We were struggling to find an Indian which was open and stumbled across this one. First impressions were great. Lovely restaurant and very up to date with decoration. Food was fantastic and service was second to none. Ambience spot on! Have to say, probably the best Indian I've ever dined in. Will definitely visit again. Thank you all for such a great meal.

My husband and I come from London. We were walking around and came across Bengal Brasserie restaurant. Never heard of them until now. What can I say? Excellent food, excellent customer service and they make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant. Can't say a bad word about this place. The next time we visit Leeds we will definitely be dining at the restaurant again.

Great food, lots to choose from and very friendly staff!

If you want to taste Indian/Bangladeshi food , this is the best in Leeds. Don't forget to ask for Poppadum and pickle tray. The food can't disappoint you. Awesome starters to great lamb delicacies. Any naan will remind you of your home as it is soft like a sponge.

My daughter took me for my birthday, what a wonderful time we had. The food was extraordinary, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was outstanding! The lady (presumably owner or manager) was truly the star of the show, she made us feel so welcome, made us laugh and gave excellent advice on which dishes would suit us, making alterations where necessary, she even gave us a drink on the house for my birthday. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be returning!

This is the best curry house I’ve been to in the UK by a long way. Staff & the owner are attentive enough without being overbearing. The amount of meat in the curries was very generous, especially for the price. Ordered 1. Chicken Achari - our favourite dish which had lots of the pickle spice & sourness you want from this. Breast pieces were juicy & tender. Must try in my opinion. 2. Handi Gosht- a less wet curry in a very thick & rich tomato based gravy. Even more meat than the chicken dish above & lamb was fall apart tender. Nice amount of heat to the dish too. 3. Shabji Chameli- vegetarian curry with eggplant, okra & cauliflower with a tomato based gravy & cooked with Indian pickles. Really nice overall balance to the dish & a lot of vegetables. 4. Garlic Pilau- loaded with garlic which added to the other dishes, just as I like it. 5. Chapati- good charring on the bread but soft & not bitter at all. If you are in Leeds, it is worth eating here. If I was there any longer I’d be going back again to try some of the other dishes including the Mach Naga.

Great food but the korma is quite spicy, should be available milder. We weren't asked if our food was okay or if we needed more drinks, and instead of paying at the table, we were told to go to the bar. Previous reviews state that you get less attention if you're not ordering alcoholic drinks, which seemed to be true sadly.

Visited this evening. I am vegetarian, and partner pescatarian (fish). Large selection of both options, and happy to see genuine fish/veggie dishes that wasnt just a vegatable/prawn masala/korma. I had a paneer based dish and partner salmon dish. Both fantastic. Salmon arrived on a sizzler style plate. Ordered a little too much, so some leftover. Staff were happy to pop this into containers to take away. Service was fantastic. Very pleasant staff whilst not being overly attentive which can be of putting at some restaurants. I will be back. They also validate parking for the merrion multi storey car park (2 hours free).

OMG we've had a few Indian meals up and down the country even in London where we thought it was the best until we tried this place. Sorry London but the Bengal Brasserie in Leeds wins hands down. Can't rate the Bengal Brasserie at the top end of the Merrion Shopping Centre highly enough. The Staff are so friendly, especially the Owners, and the food is absolutely delicious. The Meat used is so tender and the spices are mixed to perfection. I don't normally recommend eateries because everybody's taste buds are different but I am more than Happy to give this Restaurant/Takeaway a 5 star rating.

We went here one night of our stay in Leeds city centre. First of all we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff. The food was all great quality, chicken chat and the lamb korma especially. When Iqbal knew it was my birthday he gave compliment drinks, we were very well looked after throughout. We will always go back whenever staying in leeds. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Very tasty curry in a modern, snazzy, clean environment. It was pretty easy to book a table, even though it was a fairly busy Friday night. Food came quickly and waiters were very efficient. It was also very nice and quite refreshing to see a woman working in the restaurant. She seemed to be responsible for taking drink orders, but I think her role was far more important than that. Total bill was pretty reasonable and if it weren't for the fact it's 170 or so miles from home I would definitely go again.

The inside of the restaurant was very nice, seating arrangements were good and well spread out. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive, noticing when I wanted serving. The waiters also knew the food and were able to recommend options. they were very friendly, definitely looking to go back again !

We are big fans of Bengal. Beautiful food, fabulous staff and great service, however this is our first time ordering take out and we were disappointed. Lots of sauce and very little meat, fries were over cooked to the point some were charred. The chapatis were lovely, freshly made. In future we will stick to dining at the restaurant. The food is much nicer.

Had to wait 25 min for a booked table

First time visit, we ordered a selection of dishes. Lamb, Chicken & Biryani. I must say the Mohoni & Sylheti dish was excellent with loads of flavour. The staff and customer service was spot on👌 . The deco was warm. Would definitely recommend and we are definitely visit again.

A very fancy restaurant. Fab staff, they are so nice, professional and friendly. Their foods are tasty and you have many options from starter to main food, drink etc (check their menu!). Warm and delicious foods, appropriate portion. Although they could have more vegan foods. The restaurant is cosy and spacious. You can enjoy your time with friends and their wonderful service at the same time.

Heard of the reputation of this place so had to visit. It was packed even at 10pm on a Saturday. Atmosphere brilliant and loads of staff to help. Food starters we very good, I got the King Prawn Puri with Poppadoms and chutneys. The mix grill was a bit dry and onions raw, it didnt sadly come to the table sizzling but cold. Good night overall. Prices were very affordable. Meal for 2 with no booze came to £45.

I am excited to review the Bengal Brasserie, an Indian restaurant located in the heart of the city. My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking past it on our way to another restaurant. The sign for their all-you-can-eat buffet caught our attention, and after a quick check on TripAdvisor for reviews, we decided to give it a try. The moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly lady who we believe to be the owner. She immediately struck up a conversation with us and was great with our son, who is under ten. To our surprise, she didn't charge us for him, which was a kind gesture. The ambiance of the restaurant was impressive, with a beautiful decor and a comfortable seating arrangement. The starters were amazing, especially the poppadoms, which were served fresh and crispy. The main dishes were equally impressive, with a wide range of dishes to choose from. We tried several dishes and all of them were delicious. The flavors were rich, and the spices were perfectly balanced, making each dish unique in its own way. We had planned to come back to celebrate our son's birthday at this restaurant, but unfortunately, they had stopped offering the buffet, which was a bit of a disappointment. Nonetheless, we would highly recommend Bengal Brasserie for its authentic Indian cuisine and excellent customer service. A recommended Indian restaurant in Leeds. The food portions were generous and well priced at around £10 for the main (without a side dish) and £5 for the starters. The staff were very accommodating and were happy to provide recommendations before the meal. I also thought the interior of the restaurant was nice and felt comfortable whilst waiting for the food.

Myself and my partner booked a table at Bengal for 7pm on Friday night and we had one of the best dine in experiences ever. The staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely professional from the minute we entered the restaurant doors. We were seated instantly and checked on frequently until we were satisfied with our main course. The bill was more than reasonable considering we were well fed and had some alcoholic beverages. All staff, from waitress / waiter to chefs enjoy more than the tip we and I’m sure everyone else left due to the excellent experience we endured. Myself and my partner have never been so impressed with all aspects a restaurant has to offer in a long time. Thank you Bengal for providing a memorable experience in your restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we visit Leeds.

Really disappointed! We were a party of four, 2 adults, 2 children, waiters were more interested in the alcohol drinkers. Tables around us, who had arrived after us, got much quicker service even after we had told staff we had a show booked at First Direct Arena! Watch out for the little old lady in the sari, schmoozing all the drunk men parties & enticing them into buying more drinks - it was shameful to watch! Will not be visiting ever again.
