Overall, it was a bit too expensive for what it was. Otherwise can't fault the taste at all, everything was delicious and not too oily. We tried a couple of the veggie options - paneer tikka, pol sambol and wambatu moju (aubergine), which were great. Four stars because the waiters were a bit too pushy, to order more drinks, rice, desserts etc and coming to the table every 3-5 minutes.

Sigiriya was one of the best meals we've eaten. Fantastic Sri Lankan food, great service and good value. The Kothu Roti was probably our favour dish but everything was incredible! Can't recommend it enough, we'll be back!

What a lovely restaurant. I went with the In Laws so we had a table of 4. Service was exceptional and they couldn’t do enough for you. Drinks came quick and they were always asking if we are ok. The interior was lovely and a chilled vibe to the place. Having never had Sri Lankan food I didn’t know what to expect. It’s kinda like Indian but more spicier so be prepared. We really enjoyed it. Will go again very soon and will look to see if they do take out because I would prefer it to an Indian on a Saturday night at home. This restaurant was a very welcome surprise you won’t be disappointed.

Great food, long wait though. We had a 730 booking and we’re told to wait for ten minutes at the bar which was full. We waited 50 minutes to finally sit down. The drink we had at the bar wasn’t reimbursed either so that was £15 wasted. The food was great and staff very friendly throughout. Had a wonderful experience at Sigiriya. Delicious well cooked authentic Sri Lankan food . Coming from an experienced Sri Lankan home cook (me 😂) this is high praise. The whole atmosphere was great. The service was efficient friendly and delivered with the great Sri Lankan hospitality and warmth . The prices were higher than I would normally pay for the dishes but together with the delightful service and delicious cocktails it was worth it. Dishes of note were; fish frikkadels ( delicious but a big bigger would make it worth the price ) Kothu roti , aubergine moju, vegetable fried rice, sliced beef and potato curry, paripoo and the Sri Lankan style creme caramel

I'm really disappointed. This is not Sri lankan food at all. Also too expensive. Not worthy for the money you spent. If you really wanna taste Sri lankan food don't go to this place. Because you won't have a Sri lankan food here. Dishes are very small and not enough for one person. The staff was good but Food was rubbish and not taste at all.

Got to the restaurant and we seated at a very cramped up table. Staff very very lovely and accommodating to move us to a different table where we felt more comfortable. Staff were friendly and the food arrived very quickly. Food was amazing but portion sizes are quite small considering the high price. By the end of the meal what made us really uncomfortable was the fact that we were rushed to order our mains and desserts, pay and were made to leave. Felt very rushed considering we paid a decent amount of money. Will not be sitting in again unfortunately.

Came in on 5th January for my brothers birthday meal and was not disappointed as the food was very nice attentive staff and nice busy atmosphere and will probably visit again as he has just moved into the area and is partial to a nice curry!

Booked table and had to wait in chaos for half an hour. Staff were clueless and were not honest in how long we would need to wait. In party of 12 and seat configuration was rubbish. 2 mains were not delivered and seems such basic thing not to get wrong. Offered several times food destined to other tables though. A shame. Food is very nice if pricey. But wont rush back. Wish restaurant did not overbook so much.

Beautiful ambience and warm and welcoming staff who looks after you well. Food was nice especially liked the veg and paneer biryani. Prices were a bit on the higher side and portion size was small. Overall a good experience.

I eat in this spot a lot since I work nearby. I must say the service is always awesome and they keep the place well kept all the time. Rates are convenient and they serve sizeable portions.

Last week was the first time in this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the fine meal and booze and with the decent charge. We will no doubt come back soon.

Nice restaurant with a bubbly atmosphere. A bit disappointed that, although me and my mates booked a table ages in advance, there was actually no table reserved for us. We have been made waiting at the bar and had to ‘share’ a table with a dining couple. Nice food but honestly not impress with their booking system.

Brilliant Indian. Like the area it is very upmarket, not a traditional curry house. Having said that, the staff are great, the food is amazing and the atmosphere brilliant. It is quite pricey, but the food is worth it.

They offer an awesome variety of delicious food. I liked eating here. Staff members are always super friendly, rates are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.

Food is OK, pretty good actually for the area (Trafford Indians being notoriously awful - why is this?!). Atmosphere and vibe pretty good too, fair play. Prices are well above the quality. Hence the 3 stars. Please, someone come to this part of Manchester with good curry at a decent price and clean up..... Although in all fairness this place was busy so if the local wags want to pay this much then let em. We shan't be back...

Great atmosphere any day of the week with friendly staff and excellent food! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too. Staff very helpful when asking for recommendations from the menu. Nice little bar area to sip a cocktail whilst waiting for friends. A must try!!

As a coeliac is isn't terribly easy finding places to eat out, but they catered to me fantastically. We also had vegans in our party who had lots of choices. We went to Sigiriya for my mother's birthday and despite being a tiny bit pricey, the food was unbelievable. This is not your standard dining experience. The service was superb and the interior of the restaurant is very pleasant. The food is a different level. I strongly recommend the jumbo prawns if you enjoy seafood. We shall definitely be returning.

Consistently excellent over the year's. Prices reflect the quality and the service is excellent. Tryed the cocktails which were really good especially sat outside on a our rare sunny days 😎 enjoy!

Have come to eat here on a number of occasions. From the customer service, to the decor, and especially the food, you won't be disappointed. Although the most recent visit with a few colleagues that had visited from far had a few forgettable moments. Unfortunately we were made to wait over 30 minutes, even though a reservation has been made in advance. The staff however, in true Sigiriya fashion, were accommodating and offered a financial recompense. The manner in which they handled the situation was both empathic and professional. Thank you for being one of the few decent restaurants out there. I look forward to coming back again soon.

Went on a baking hot evening but managed to sit by open front window. Staff very attentive and friendly. Good menu, lovely food, portions about right. Would recommend

Terrible meal on Sunday. We have used them before and it has been great but this time the quality was atrocious. Watered down. Curry with little flavour, stale chutneys we had to send back. I can’t fault the service as everyone was friendly and kind but the food was overpriced and terrible quality. Such a shame. We paid £72, they charged service and an additional card machine fee. Very cheeky Yet another independent that has forgotten that their customers are not idiots, if you save on quality, your customers won’t return.

Delicious and fresh food, with very friendly service. The grills are amazing. The restaurant has been very noisy the times I visited; there is nothing the owners can do about that, so if you don't like noisy restaurants I'd suggest to avoid Friday and Saturday nights.

Such a good restaurant choice offering a great Sri Lankan menu ideal for several plates amongst friends. Ice cold Cobra beer. Not a typical Indian restaurant. Always different & delicious here. Attentive service with smiles. An Easter Thursday night so a busy, great atmosphere.

Best curry available! Lovely decor, I opted for the king prawns they were MASSIVE! Lots of flavour. One to look out for is the Ceylon chicken. My wife had the Ceylon chicken and said it was amazing!

Poor value for money. Ingredients did not seem fresh and flavours were bland. Curry’s were mushy and Sizzler wasn’t sizzling and was very dry

We have eaten here a few times now and its become a firm favourite of ours. The prawn starter is simply divine. We tried a number of the mains and have enjoyed them all be they fish or meat. Will definitely be returning in the future!

We've only just had our starters and I can tell already that this will be absolute top-drawer. The service is excellent. The drinks range from a generous wine list, to a selection of teas and regular soft drinks. We only had poppadoms, and they were amongst the best I've tasted. I may edit this rambling review after the main course/s. What I can tell you is that boring people who settle for a "chicken tikka masala" might be in for a shock. And vegetarians have a good choice. Superb. Get yourselves to Sigiriya.

Just had after work drinks sat by their open window next to the road side, also had some light bites, the spring rolls with dipping sauce were the best I ever tasted.

Great food and a wide menu selection. Food was very tasty and not just hot spice that blows your mouth off! Very prompt and helpful service with waiting staff who really knew what they were doing. This is a very modern and youthful restaurant however there were people of all ages enjoying an evening drink and meal. Parking is free right outside the restaurant if you can find a space, but the centre of Hale can be difficult to find parking easily. All in all highly recommended.

Best food of its kind in the area. We started to visit after Mughli shutdown in Knutsford. Lovely decor and very friendly staff. The owner is also a brilliant host every night!

My sister were not hungry, so we ordered wine, poppadums basket, fried squid and butter chicken to go. After ordering, different waiters was coming to us every 5 minutes and asked what we would eat. It looked impolite and created a fuss rather than a relaxed atmosphere. This continued throughout our presence. Staff simply interrupted our conversation and did not allow us to talk calmly. As a result, after 1 hour and 15 minutes they simply let us know that it was time for us to go and said they would bring the bill.Although there were free tables and the restaurant was not completely full. It's very unpleasant that the staff behaves like this! I don't feel like I would come back there again after being treated like this

Initial order was papadam one portion, served in 3 plates and charged for 3. Ordered lampris, it was cold seems defrosted, polrotti was too hard. I was quite happy while entering but the food was not worth for the price
