Overpriced small portions. You have to struggle to take the waiter’s attention. For Indian food is do mildly spiced that we thought Covid has destroyed our test buds. I have had take away better than this. Small tables, no space to move.

Very very nice. Really quite different from your usual Indian food in a great way. Unless you are super hungry order a lot less than they recommend. You can always order more. Very quick for service. Drinks v expensive. Lovely decor.

Excellent service, tasty, authentic and flavourful food. Our second dinner for the night so only ordered the grilled mix platter, signature railway lamb curry with rice and buttered naan. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely tremendous. Visited Jesmond before but first time at High Bridge tonight. Very accommodating and fit us in at short notice. Great service. Food was phenomenal - all manner of dishes bursting with flavour.

Attended with a group of friends. The food was very sweet, not spicy. I think they are catering for local pallets. Service was good

One of my two favourite Indian restaurants in Newcastle! I've been a couple of times and the food has always been delicious. Great vegetarian options, though I tend to stick to the thali - which is amazing - but I'll definitely be branching out next time I go! Good venue in a central location, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.

Normally I find myself overwhelmed with choices when looking at an Indian menu here the choices are a bit more limited, which makes my life easier. Not as spicy as I would hope from Indian food, nevertheless good, delicious food. Friendly staff, atmosphere is fine. Busy on a Sunday night, which is a good sign. Not many vegetarian options, but still plenty.

I had high hopes for this experience but felt it wasn't up to the hype. I'd heard and read a lot of good reviews about this restaurant. We all had the pre show menu which is a starter and main. The food was at best ok. Good mix of spices but presentation and quality... it was mediocre. The portion sizes were small and I left feeling that the food quality and amount didn't reflect the prices that they are charging. I get that cost of living puts pressure on the restaurant but if you come away feeling short changed its counter productive The service was great and our service team were attentive and genuinely cheerful and welcoming. Great service We were a small group (4) and are as soon as it opened for the evening on a Wednesday. For that time of day midweek it was busy with not many tables free. That begs the question... Did we just feel short-changed as a result of a one off or were we missing something bigger. It's the first time there for me but I can't see me going back... There are other Indian restaurants in the city that I'd like to give an opportunity to impress. This is a competitive market and this for me was a disappointing experience compared to other similar restaurants. At the end of the day you to a restaurant primarily for the food with service and atmosphere as a bonus. For me this experience was the wrong way around

The service was wonderful, staff very friendly and the food was nice. We had the Early Evening Menu for £16 which gets you a starter, main and rice or naan (from a selection of few menu items). We started with the papadoms and chutneys, the mango chutney and mint sauce was the usual, but they also had an Imley chutney, which was different and refreshing. They didn't have the usual papadoms, but three different types, which was pleasant. I ordered the Chicken Chilli Fry for starters, and it was decent, the main was the Chicken Dansak, which was okay, same as something I get from a takeaway, and the naans were very thin. The atmosphere was really good and I would recommend people to visit.

The food was nice and the menu interesting with plenty of options. The waiting staff could really do with being more polite / friendlier though

We visited for the first time during Newcastle's Restaurant Week. And we were wowed by the food, truly fabulous. The young staff were plentiful and attentive without being overbearing, we were both mightily impressed. First class food and service, we'll definitely return.

The service here was outstanding! They managed to fit us in as a walk in on restaurant week despite the place being fully booked. We tried the chef's surprise and everyone enjoyed trying lots of different dishes. The starter was cooked perfectly, the meat melted in your mouth, even the lamb which is often chewy. It was also really good value for money, we were surprised at the bill when we came to pay. Absolutely loved it, we will be returning!

A friend said this place is as good as Khai Khai but more affordable, so we were excited to try their curry. It was quite mediocre and plain. The only good thing about this place was the lassi.

We ate here for the second time last night. The food is amazing! Really different to anywhere we've been before. Really fresh flavours and a great contemporary setting. The service was great and the staff friendly. We went for the "chefs surprise" option where you don't know what you are going to get. It was all delicious!

Brilliant food. Never had a bad dish. Great service. For those reviews that said it's expensive please come down to surrey where you will find new realms of pricing. This is good value. I have travelled the length of the UK.

Not good. The portions are extremely small, especially for the price. Had to ask for water about four times to break our fast, and had to wait around ten minutes for it. Was shockingly expensive, far less value for money than their competitor MyDelhi. We really regret the £70 spent here, and will not be returning. For us Asians, the food was very mild and was cold by the time it got to us.

My party were all all happy with our meals. Menu is,a bit different. The cheese and coriander naan is really good. Nicely cooked, not burnt and not too thick. I had a king prawn dish which was really good and good portion of prawns. I'd say the menu is a little overpriced but not a rip off and there are cheaper options. On the downside the beer prices are crazy. There's a bottle of standard 500ml ale for £9 a bottle, 330ml Cobra £3.75 and 660ml was £7. No excuse for those prices! There was another ale very expensive too. I'd say they have the most expensive bottles beer in Toon so check drinks menu before ordering. They also automatically add 10% service charge so check you bill

Came for an early dinner and had a lovely meal! Restaurant was very busy already but managed to squeeze us in without a booking! I had a lovely biryani which had lots of flavour! The curry portions were quite small but still enjoyable. Thank you for a fab meal!

I really enjoyed my food, quality food, and great taste, would recommend the Bomby Bomb ! I wish they gave the sour water with it like in India. Only issue I had that the table we were sitting on was sticky and felt abit like a pub table.

Amazing food and brilliant staff. Managed to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday afternoon. Ordered chefs special and it was lovely. Loads of staff all very helpful. Thank you.

Found this restaurant to be extremely bad for the below reasons 1. Pushy service asked 3 times within minutes of sitting down for drinks 2. Food was average at best. Tasteless and my favourite part was my roti 3. While I was still eating they were trying to take away the plates and wipe down the table 4. I always tip good service and a good percentage. However they took a 10% charge without highlighting it (server pressed yes to it before handing me the terminal my bad for missing that on the night). Overall they seemed to want the money without the frills and fancy of good service. There are better places out there with more reasonable prices.

For someone who is picky about hot chocolates. Highly recommend the salted caramel hot chocolate from Dabbawal High Bridge. One of the best hot chocolate I have had so far. Thank you Federico ☕️

The table was set for my birthday and one of the members made sure all our guests were accommodated and food was served in time. And as an added bonus one of the members of staff named Baba, arranged a small cake that I didn't ask for but was a very nice gesture from the restaurant. Overall a memorable experience and would do it again.
