We had wonderful experience. I am Indian so I can say the food is real Indian taste with Indian spices. The staff was also welcoming and kind. Ambience is so nice with lots of Indian culture feeling. Overall very nice experience. Thank you.

Had an absolutely lovely evening here. The atmosphere felt like being in India with the decor. The staff were attentive (but not overly) and authentic cuisine. Great cocktails too.

We loved every bit of the food here, it was unreal. The Afghan kebab is a must try, everything is reasonably priced, and we loved how everything you order comes out all at once. A feast for us to celebrate my partners birthday. Will definitely be back at some point! Staff were so friendly and attentive, and the cocktails were lovely as-well.

I am regular to this restaurant and visiting since 2019. The place acquires a nice Indian ambience. Ever noticed an Auto by the entrance, next to the bar? Yes, you read it correctly, it's an "Auto". If you don't then please google it and do visit the place again. That auto (the one in yellow and black) is enough to justify that you are so close to India. The food: The chef looks after the professional aspects of Indian cuisine such as "presentation, plating and serving". The portion size is ideal for a person or two (if you are sharing). The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. I personally loved their "Samosa Chaat" and "Dahi Puri" as a starter. If you want to taste the authentic Indian dishes, close your eyes and just go for Paneer butter Masala (for vegetarians) and Butter Chicken (for non-vegetarians). I can bet that you'll not get a better "Butter Chicken" anywhere else in the city of Newcastle. Cocktails: Cocktails might not be as adequate as food as it's an Indian restaurant so I have not much opinion on this section but you can still try if you have a heavy pocket. PS: The most important and noticeable part of Indian cuisine is "consistency" which you'll not get everywhere. I tried on different occasions and different times in "Mydelhi" and never was disappointed. I found the same consistency and taste during each visit. I cannot reccommend this place enough! Amazing authentic taste directly out of India with lovely service! Special shout out to our waiter Nilesh who was always helpful with a smile and made our experience even better! 👏 Try the cauliflower and bhadji starters which we all loved while all the mains were exceptional as well. Garlic naan is a must to complete your experience.

The restaurant had lovely staff, we had booked a table and we were seated straight away. The food arrived quickly and tasted amazing (we had the butter chicken and Punjabi dhaba chicken). All of the dishes were priced well considering how nice they were and the serving sizes were big! One curry will serve two people. We would come back to Newcastle purely to eat at this restaurant again.

My Delhi was a recommendation and we loved it, really accommodating and friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our daughter feel comfortable as she is in a wheelchair and has Type 1 Diabetes so we need to carb up her food before she eats, they helped suggest dishes and were helpful with getting our daughters food to the table all together. The food was really authentic gorgeous street food inspired, lovely flavours and presentation, lots of choice for meat, vegi and vegan foodies. The atmosphere was great and staff really friendly. Just had the most fantastic meal at My Delhi....just walked in off the street and glad we did...amazing food and brilliant service.... usually go to another well-known India but sorry have now changed to this one...10/10

Got a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time, hot and well packaged! I got the Dynamite Prawns which were lovely and had a nice dip to go with it.. i would recomend! I also got a Garlic Nan which was tasty and equally tasty dipped in my main which was the Emperors Stew! The Emperors Stew was nice, quite thick and creamy with a nice spice to it with decent size pieces of lamb 😁👍👌

Would have been a much better first experience if the waitress was ready to listen and adjust the food as per the taste of Indians, it being an Indian restaurant. However when explained it to the manager we received a complimentary meal which was so much better than the first it was spicy rich in flavours as it should be. As an Indian specially from Mumbai the menu got me and my partner happy as we don't get these varieties here but the waitress was adamant and wasn't accommodating hence didn't really enjoy the first experience there.

Visited newcastle for a weekend and wanted some Pakistani/Indian desi food, I couldn’t find many places but came across @mydehliindian which was based in the city centre, no set parking however we got lucky and parked right outside. 📍 87A Clayton St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5PY, we pre booked as visited on a Saturday! When we entered it was fully booked I’d advise booking in advance if planning on visiting. What we ordered: 1. ‘SAMOSA CHAAT’ which was Golden vegetable samosas served with spicy chickpea masala, finished with a medley of charming chutneys. 2. ‘DELHI CHICKEN TIKKA’ which was Tender chicken slowly marinated in aromatic my Delhi spices. 3. ‘PUNjABi DHABBA CHICKEN’ 4. Garlic Naan 5. Chips 6. ‘Chilli Chicken’

First time we visited as part of Newcastle Food Week. From walking through the door we were greeted with smiles, and shown straight to our table. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Lady that was looking after us was called Charlotte, and she was able to recommend a beautiful cocktail as I’m terrible at decisions. I was not disappointed not only did it taste refreshing and just right of mix of alcohol and mixer, it came with an ice ball that contained tiny edible flowers! So not only was it good in taste but looked so pretty! Cannot fault anything with the restaurant. Not only are you made so welcome the delicious food combined with the welcoming team of staff I would advise anyone to book a table as you will not be disappointed. I have been there on Christmas eve for snacks and beer with my friend. Nice and beautiful place. Food was average as per the Indian taste but it was fine for the as per the location and local needs. Service could not impress me.

First time here during a busy restaurant week but the service was exemplary. Abdul was our server and explained the menu well, recommended dishes as well as altering a dish for my own personal tastes. The food itself was fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. In a very competitive food industry in Newcastle, this Indian restaurant was one of the high performers for me. Nicely decorated inside too.

First time visiting with friends - was a last minute pick. The atmosphere was vibrant with hints of old Delhi decorated here and there. The service was quick and efficient, and the waiters friendly. The food was tasty with good flavours all around. The prices are a little expensive but the quality makes up for it. Will definitely be back

Authentic Indian flavours that warm your soul! We visited during restaurant week and we tried two starters with the cauliflower being our favourite! The curries were so flavourful with a very tender chicken! The garlic naan was one of the best we’ve had and the cocktails so refreshing! Our waiter Nilesh was extremely accommodating and friendly and made sure we had a great time! Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be back!

I came up with a work colleague and really fancied Indian tonight, and this was the closest place that came up. It was absolutely stunning. Staff were absolutely lovely, highly recommend not one to be missed if you're close by!

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal at My Delhi, an Indian restaurant on Clayton Street. We decided for the chefs surprise menu, which the whole table needed to agree to. The restaurant were great when we informed them one of our party required gluten free options. We were given three courses with timely gaps between (allow 2 hours). 1st was a very tasty curried fish cake. 2nd consisted of a trifecta of meat, with the lamb cutlet being the stand out of the meal. 3rd consisted of real tasty Naan, rice and four curries, two chicken, two lamb which we all shared. All were delicious. With a chocolate cake for desert and 2 pints, the meal cost me around £35. I'd recommend anyone who likes Indian cuisine to visit.

Maybe pre-eat before you come here... Seems understaffed. 20 mins to order drinks. 20 mins more for them to come (no apologies)... They also forgot some of the order. Drinks options are limited. Dirty tables around us left uncleared for over an hour and a half. About 6 tables around us just got up and left because of no service. Thought maybe the food would be worth the wait but it’s about the same quality as a Tesco ready meal. Not sure what this is trying to be. Initially thought it was going to be a Newcastle version of Dishoom - the only thing it has in common was the long wait. Needs work.

Visited during restaurant week and had an amazing experience here. Both the fish finger and onion bhaji starter were superb and a very substantial portion. Railway lamb curry and Punjabi dhaba chicken were excellent main courses. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit and I'd go back for sure.

Been looking to visit this place for a while as my daughters had been a few times. It's nicely decorated inside with a relaxed vibe about the place. Staff were welcoming and professional, although the plates and crockery could have done with a polish to avoid fingerprints. The main thing was that the food was lovely - we had a variety of dishes and they were all spot on.

I can’t think of anything negative about our dining experience here. From the food which was superb, to the attentive (but not overbearing) staff and the whole experience it really was excellent. We’ll certainly be back. For anyone visiting the o2 academy we dined here just before and it was ideal!

Authentic Indian food, in a city centre location, with great service. Would recommend for large groups and parties. They also have a range of authentic roadside Indian drinks. I’ll be definitely visiting again soon!

What a horrible place to eat! Hed batter indian from other places waiters cant even explain dishes properly they just look at u without saying anything. The plates has fingerprint and water mark all over the restaurant is not clean enough to dine in for this time especially. Fast and last visit. Tha is for not a good service

Fantastic food definitely worth a try. Went here for lunch and got the 2 courses for £9.95. Was a bit worried as we were the only customers to begin with and the food was taking a while to come out however when tasting the food all my worries were forgotten. The flavours were fresh and the balance of spices were spot on, this was very good authentic Indian food.

More veg in their lamb curries than most other places. Balance was much better! New favourite curry house in town.

Went here last week with couple of friends and that was my first visit, perfect Indian ambience I mean a real Indian feel. Good service and must mention that they have a nice contactless ordering and billing system which is very much appreciated during this situation. Food was nice but I personally feel the quantity is bit less considering the price tag

We order via deliveroo once a week or so from here and it's amazing ...the food is of excellent quality and we are never disappointed always hot and well packaged ... Our personal faves are the Afghan Kebabs and the butter chicken .. and the chicken pakoras .. they are all great tbh

Great food great experience anyone missing Indian Street food should visit at least once

This was our third visit here for Valentine’s Day and won’t be our last. The food was out of this world. We had the surprise menu and everything was delicious especially the chicken stir fry pre starter, the lamb main and my mango lassi desert. The staff were amazing and our server kavya very friendly, helpful and attentive. It was lovely to have the piano playing for Valentine’s and we enjoyed the added bonus of some dance from Kavya. The food, service and atmosphere really were all spot on and the restaurant was packed which is testament to how good it is. We love this place!

Very disapointing main courses and starters. Woudlnt go back again. Staff and decor are nice. But food is a let down.

In a foreign country, it happens very rarely that you happen to stumble upon the food which takes you on a journey back to your homeland. The same kind of experience I had at My Delhi Newcastle. We ordered Chicken 65, Cauliflower Manchurian, Saag Paneer, Naan and Chicken Biryani. The restaurant staff also recommended us two drinks to try and they were full of fruity flavours. The food was so delicious that it was oozing with flavours. A special mention to Abdul, Fern, Ali and Ashu for their wonderful service. The whole staff is so kind and generous. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends. ??

Me and my partner came here for restaurant week today and it was amazing, the servers were swift and polite and just overall amazing, we didn’t catch the name of our server but we believe it to be Anna, was fantastic! The food was delicious and we quite literally cleaned our plates, the butter chicken was fantastic and the samosas and roasted cauliflower were our street dishes and they both were unreal. If it was socially acceptable we would have been licking the plates clean. The desert was a sundae new to the menu and it was amazing also, very unique and tasted Devine. 10/10 all round will be returning!!!

I don’t know where to start. The service was hands down the best one I’ve ever seen in my whole life. The staff are extremely kind, funny and caring! My friends and I were really amazed at the service. Especially from Safia. Such an amazing and joyful person. The food was really good and tasty. I really felt like I was taken care of and somehow the place gives you cozy, homely vibes. I recommend everyone to try it. You’re not only getting delicious food but also first class service.
