Sorry but a 12% service charge is a joke! The staff are nice and the food is good but I was given a grubby chair to sit on that I moved myself and the restaurant itself feels sad and unloved. We also had to use the same cutlery from the first course. We asked for extra napkins and were given one each?! Such a shame, won't be returning. £78 for 2 people sharing a meal is too much.

I am the the first to be a meat man, this was a eye opening experience. The food was fresh and superb. I didn't miss meat in the slightest. This was an absolute incredible meal. It was a little expensive but was worth every penny. I will be back again and again and again....

A lovely place to try in Norwich, especially if you are a vegetarian/vegan. All the dishes we ordered were tasty, especially a dosa. Staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I can recommend.

We came late for their Sunday buffet but we had time to enjoy the various dishes and the staff were very attentive bringing us dishes they thought we'd enjoy. I was stuffed. Next time we'll come a bit earlier to give ourselves time to savour the flavours more

An Indian vegetarian restaurant. Loads of lovely options in a beautiful old Methodist Sunday school. Very friendly staff who dealt very well with our large group. Portion sizes aren't your usual Indian restaurant but the quality of the food means your full without being overwhelmed. Plus you get a chance to pay half the cost of a meal for a person in need.

An excellent experience if you have a higher budget. We went here before going to see a film and the food was delicious. The service was very friendly and timely, too. You can walk in if you have a party of less than 5 at the moment. An appetiser sharer, curry and rice and a shared dessert was enough for two of us and our appetites did not hesitate for a moment. It is not surprising that this is the number 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor for Norwich at the moment.

We went as a group of 4 and had never been before. The place itself was relatively easy to find but there is no parking spaces. There is a pay and display car park across the road, which is difficult to find the entrance to. We were greeted as soon as we went through the entrance by a very nice friendly man. He took us to our table where we were presented with the menu. This is an ALL vegetarian/ vegan menu, bear in mind before you book. Two of our group were vegetarian and two weren't. The two that aren't couldn't really tell the difference but there is a slight difference in taste. The drinks were brought quickly as was the food. All the people that brought our food and drinks over were very friendly and smiley. Couldn't fault any of them. The atmosphere was nice. The music was low enough to be ambient music and the restaurant filled up very quickly. You don't get very long to stay, they allocate 1.5hours per table. We had a main and a dessert each. The restaurant itself was very clean and tidy and beautifully decorated. The food was hot and cooked to a high standard. The reason it hasn't got full rating of 5 stars is because they added the tip to the bill, which was just shy of £20! And the bill was extremely high, nearing £240 for a two course meal for 4 people. The price, the lack of parking (having to pay for the parking) and the time slot for the table means we won't be returning. However, it is a beautiful restaurant, with friendly staff and nicely cooked food.

Visited Namaste Village with my wife after googlong somewhere vegan friendly to eat whilst staying in Norwich. We both love Indian food so chose here and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Service was also amazing. We would definately come here again and would recommend this place if you are vegan or vegetarian- so much choice.

A spacious, recently refurbished vegetarian and vegan, Indian restaurant close to Norwich city centre. The food was tasty and nicely spiced with mains between £10-15, note 12.5% service charge will be added to the bill. The internal refit is nice and the waitress was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The venue would also work for larger parties. The only things that could have been improved is no additional wait staff seemed to be there when they got busier and there is limited parking close to the restaurant, the area outside the front is for restaurant staff only. All in all an enjoyable experience.

I wanted to like it so so much but I left disappointed and unlikely to return. The restaurant itself is nice. It’s a big place but it didn’t feel bare, it was warm and clean. Particularly with covid around; all surfaces were wiped after each guest and the majority of staff were in visors. It would have been nice to see delivery men in masks too considering they are in and out a lot. The staff were very nice and engaging. I cannot fault the waitresses. The food... bland. I am not a fussy eater nor do I dislike vegetarian food but everything served tasted exactly the same. The Doha was like unflavoured baby food mixed with a few cashews and wrapped in a plain crepe accompanied by a very odd tasting “soup” and I couldn’t even tell you what was in the white dish was because it literally tasted of air. It was such a shame. It wasn’t even lacking spice. It was lacking basic seasoning and sugar. Perhaps I ordered the wrong dish. I would never say to people not to visit (unless it was dirty) because some people might find those bland flavours appealing but I just did not. Great service though.

Lovely restaurant with amazing customer service. The food was really delicious and freshly made. All very reasonably priced. Proper Gujarati and South Indian vegetarian dishes. Nice bazaar selling spices, pulses etc too as a bonus. I'll be eating here again when next in Norwich.

I occasionally visited Namaste a few years ago when they had a tiny restaurant on Opie Street and due to a bad experience I didn't go back. But after reading good reviews I gave Namaste Village a try and I had a simply fantastic meal and couldn't fault it. Really flavoursome dishes and so many interesting ones to try, it was difficult to choose! Staff were very friendly, there were a couple of errors in our orders but were quickly rectified. A nice 25% discount for blue light workers was welcome, they did add a service charge however.

Loved eating here. The selection of food was amazing. I had a paneer curry and it was so yummy and well made. My partner had a dosa and he said the pancake was fabulous. The decor inside is colourful, playful and fun and the staff are very friendly.

We tried here on Xmas day, didn’t disappoint at all. I can without doubt say this is the best authentic Indian I’ve ever had. And the waiting staff were impeccable. Thank you so much for a delicious Xmas day meal. Will definitely be returning asap.

Food massively over priced, staff friendly but food related everything seemed very soup like..I ordered a cauliflower curry which was very oily and burnt . And the bill was ludicrous even though we didn't order a lot. The restaurant was also laid out similar to a food hall so no personal space much

My son made this recommendation, knowing I was in Norwich and that my partner is vegan. We arrived without booking around 7pm and while it was very busy, they found us a table. The service was excellent, warm and friendly. The food was also excellent and although not vegetarian or vegan, everything I tasted was full of flavour. Portions were generous and we left very satisfied.

I had heard great things about Namaste Village so whilst visiting the area we had to visit and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. It was refreshing to find that all the food was vegetarian and/or can be made vegan. I went for dishes I had been recommended and can confirm Chilli Gobi is worth a try but really I would have liked to work my way through the whole menu! What a treat to have a dessert too. We shared a Choc-A-Lot cake which came with vegan ice cream. They also run a charity initiative whereby you pay half the price of a Dosa and they match it. A sticker then gets put in the window and anyone in need of a meal can eat here. I would highly recommend a visit here, we will return if we are ever back in Norwich.

Namastay village is a vegetarian restaurant with branches in the city is a gem for those who are looking for a brilliant alternative to non-vegetarian food. The restaurant offers a wide range of vegetarian dishes that are both healthy and delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant is enhanced by the melodious Indian old songs that are played in the background. The courteous and helpful staff at the restaurant is always ready to assist customers in making their dining experience a memorable one. They are knowledgeable about the menu and can provide helpful suggestions to customers who are not sure what to order. It is recommended that customers make a reservation before visiting the restaurant to ensure a table is available. The restaurant is popular and tends to get crowded, especially during peak hours. The restaurant also offers a student discount, but customers must have a valid student ID card to avail of the discount. This is a great way for students to enjoy delicious vegetarian food at a discounted price. Overall, the vegetarian restaurant with branches in the city is a great option for those who want to try something different from non-vegetarian food. With delicious vegetarian dishes, courteous and helpful staff, and a discount for students, it is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Very underwhelmed after very high hopes. Food was average, however a couple of the starters were very nice, particularly the samosas. The service was poor, we had to ask twice to order drinks after being in the restaurant for nearly half an hour and then a further 3 times for tap water, and multiple times for the bill. When we stood up to leave, we looked over to the bar multiple times to the waiters just standing about to get some kind of acknowledgment of that we were leaving to say thank you but they didn’t even look at us which we thought was very rude. Lovely setting inside though.

Popped in for lunch, we were the only people in, but its midweek in January so not massively unexpected. The food was great! Really really tasty, hot, fragrant and fresh, if I'm honest, I felt it was a touch on the pricey side, but I understand the rising food and utilities costs are starting to trickle down to the customer now, they're definitely not over priced, but it's not a cheap lunch. We had a curry, a rice, a selection of breads and a Dosa, the Dosa wasn't very hot, temperature wise, not sure if this is how it's meant to be served or not. My only gripe about the meal is that they add a 12.5% service charge on to the bill, I feel this is a bit of a liberty, especially when it's a party of 2 and we were the only guests, I was happy to tip as the service was fine, but to automatically add it to a bill leaves a bit of a sour taste.

The best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. I haven’t visited Namaste since they moved from their first location in Opie st. I feel that I’ve missed out! The best service and food I’ve had - everything spiced to perfection. The service was so so friendly! Manvi and team were brilliant!

Absolutely all round fantastic. Second trip here just as good as the first last year. Even better actually! Food was divine, lovely to have so many flavoursome veggie options for a change. Menu clear of what spice level bits were, lovely atmosphere. As good as the food is the staff, so genuinely friendly and attentive. Really some of the loveliest I’ve experienced (and for a really reasonable price too!) Will absolutely come back! thanks for having us :)

Amazing, this was my first visit after hearing so many positive things. Completely vegetarian although I'm not but was amazed at how delicious the food was. The decor is very warm and calming and the staff were very friendly and didn't make you feel rushed at all. This has amazing food, great ethos, lovely staff and just lovely vegan and veggie food, and u am not vegetarian or vegan but I love going here. They also have a little shop that sells knick knacks and I like to get the breath freshener pot of different spices that tastes lovely and makes your breath small nice! They also do ourselves for cooking which I can recommend as a lovely gift. Food is prices are comparable with a main meal for about around £10, we had a lovely rhubarb, ginger and orange drink for £3.95, sides about £4. We did not have dessert this time but they are lovely and the sides are delicious 😋

Other dishes very tasty and visually beautiful. Great variety of appetisers too. They also gave me a present on my birthday! I've also had takeaway from them. Yum yum. Can't recommend enough.

This is not the first time we have eaten at Namaste and I don't think it will be the last. The standard of the food and service is consistently high. It is such a friendly place set in a beautiful building. Covid regulations are strictly adhered to. Service is quick and efficient and when we eat there recently the 15% discount for VAT was still in place. Highlights for me were the Paneer Lababbdar and the biryani rice. There is a clear passion for freshness and quality ingredients cooked with great skill. As soon as I pay the bill and walk out the door I am planning my next visit. I always donate to Dosa on the wall too where you can pay for a meal for someone less fortunate than yourself and put a voucher on the window so they can come in and claim a meal. This is a great idea. Thanks to the chefs and staff for another great dining experience. Another bonus is that the manager/owner always tries to have a chat with his customers too.

Canteen style cold food with 5 star prices. To top it up there was an American style ?10% service charge on the bill . Only realised after we left the restaurant with a tip. Service staff were friendly but slow. If you buy any items on display or in the restaurant a service charge will be added on top

It was busy so lacked any personal table service. Drinks orders forgotten. I didnt take a pic of the food so I guess that says it all. I was disappointed with the textures of each side. Slightly different colour but all mushed into one on the plate. We wasn't asked if we enjoyed our meal or I would have said I the above to them in person. 4 different people served us at least and they always looked confused. Nice decor and ambiance. Tables are small for 4 also. The company was great of course 😁 Lovely comment from the owner today. Please be a customer in your own restaurant and order the poppadoms first. You will find the sauces water thin. Then order a crepe and see what is inside! Nothing. Then eat the saga aloo with does not resemble potatoes and spinach. Then wait for your drink orders to be incorrect and forgotten. I know you guys are fabulous in the community, my hat off to you but you are an Indian restaurant first? And that part was just.. ok. I have eaten at your smaller restaurant and been delighted🤘 this was my experience.

I am a regular customer now and my family ordered a big meal for 6 of us for home delivery for my birthday. The food as always was divine. I am vegetarian but my family are meat eaters and my mum commented to say she wouldn't of noticed that it is was vege / vegan and the food was lovely. The Chilli Gobi is my favourite and also Chocolate nann. The cleanliness and care taken over food is fantastic and the drivers are always so warm and friendly. This restaurant is exquisite and deserves the very best of ratings.

The food wasn't to your normal Indian standard. We ordered mineral water. They charged us £3.30 for it. When it arrived it wasn't in it's original bottle but in a glass bottle which had black mould in the lid of the bottle - You could see the bottle had been used lots of times as it had all limescale on the rim of the bottle. Which means it was obviously tap water and not mineral water. It was disgusting to see what we had drunk out of. I had bufallo cauliflower wings which was over £6 - it was florets of cauliflower in batter with some chilli sauce, a pot of mayo and three small slices of gherkin and it had no flavour. The curry I had, also had no flavour and was about a 1/4 oil. My partner's meal was also swimming in oil. They also charged nearly £5 as a service charge. The service was good but the food was rubbish.

Me and my wife would love to thank all staff the wonderful late evening meal experience. We felt very much appreciated in the care of the staff. We are meat eaters but knowing the owner for a long time we've decided to give his restaurant a go, and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely amazing. We did not feel the absence of meat even a little. Vijay recommendations were out of this world, very well presented and delicious. The service was dynamic, lot quicker than what we were used to everywhere else, even though the place was heaving. The staff were very polite and helpful answering all our questions and with their recommendations. The decor is what it seemed like very traditional and the ambiance of the place is very welcoming. We highly recommend Namaste Village to everyone! Until next time!

Our first curry out since the end of lockdown. Good application of covid19 precautions, with tables well distanced. Menu is very different to all of the other curry houses in Norwich and a revelation, you really don't miss the meat (and that's from a committed carnivore ). Highlights, the masala puri and buffalo cauliflower from the starters, the chilli gobi from the mains and the makhani daal from the sides. When we got the final bill we were pleasantly surprised to find they had passed on the full 15% VAT reduction. So no excuses get out and dine at this superb restaurant.

Absolutely outstanding food and excellent customer service. Take away boxes were offered too for any left overs to be taken home. Cannot fault this amazing vegetarian Indian restaurant! I'll definitely be going again soon!

Quick and friendly service. Tasty food. My dad is not vegan or vegetarian but was blown away by the “chicken” korma! I had the vegetable korma and it was lovely. Didn’t find much special about the cauliflower or the bajjis however.

Yet another outstanding experience! This is a MUST go to restaurant. The service from entrance to exit is so friendly. The food. Simply and succinctly, incredible. There really isn’t anything bad about this place - you’d like free parking, but there’s an extortionate city council P&D car park right opposite. That’s as negative as I could mention. Booking is highly recommended as they’re busy busy for good reason.

Great place to try if you're vegan and/or vegetarian! All dishes have their own unique taste and a great way to show off how real, authentic Indian food can taste. Would very much recommend you come and try.

I returned to this restaurant after visiting last year, and again I wasn’t disappointed. Started with Buffalo Cauliflower, followed by Masala Dosa with a side of Dhal and Bombay potatoes. Everything was super tasty, my friend was a bit sceptical as he doesn’t usually venture into non-meat restaurants, he was pleasantly surprised. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to go for the Dosa, and I can see why. Incredible meal, will be back if I’m ever in the area again.

Excellent vegetarian food. Lovely decor. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Not dog friendly though. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with family and friends and hopefully will visit again in the near future. I can highly recommend the place.

This is the best restaurant in Norwich. We moved out of Norwich almost two years ago and eating in this fantastic restaurant was one of the things we deeply missed. They made some changes to the restaurant and menu's. Now it is even better than before. What a pleasure eating again the lovely food they make. The staff is amazing as usual. They even recognised us after all this time. What a lovely dinner we had. We will definitely come back again when we will be in Norwich again. Thank you very much for everything. F&D

One of the best (if not the best) Indian in Norwich. Fully vegetarian/vegan, quick service, and great atmosphere. Make sure to reserve a table as they are very popular.

Long-time takeaway-er, first-time diner-in...er (that works, right?) This was by far, one of the best meals my partner and I have had in Norwich. The food has always been amazing when we've ordered for delivery - it's mainly through apparent laziness that we haven't made our way to the restaurant - what fools we are?! The food was fantastic. We ordered all vegan (as we do when we order online) but aside from the deliciousness, the service was next-level. Friendly, attentive and full of suggestions of their favourite dishes - it was genuinely perfect. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat eater, you'll find it hard to be disappointed by quality of food, service and friendly atmosphere. Will we dine in again? Yes. Will we order in so we can enjoy a curry in our pants? Yes, most definitely. 10/10, will eat again.

I came to Norwich for my work trip and search on Google for Indian place and I didn't regret my decision. Not only me but my manager loved the food. The options are unique reminds me of my hometown food. It is authentic Indian food. I will recommend this place if you like Indian food and want to try something new which you don't really find in every Indian restaurant.

The building is beautiful and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing, the food was amazing ,the only slight thing was the waiter sometimes struggled a little bit to understand what I was asking. This was a much waited for birthday treat and it lived up to expectations
