thoroughly enjoyed the food at Jikoni's. It's innovative, punchy and exciting. With a mix of flavours from around the world, you're savouring every spoonful. Would recommend this place for sure. We sat outside, because all tables were booked indoors. So early booking is a must if you want to enjoy sitting inside. But if weather's good then outside is great. We were a bit nippy, but they have heaters and blankets on stand-by. Attentive staff and good service.

Exceptional experience. Amazing restaurant. The staff here were incredible and made the experience one to remember. The food was on another level. Every thing we had was outstanding. I highly recommend the celeriac, the lobster, the fish pie and the rhubarb roulade. Fabulous cocktails and wine selection. The decor is also really beautiful and kitsch.

This was a culinary highlight of the many outings we've had in London. We always go out looking at ratings and had had a couple of disappointments before we stumbled upon Jikoni. Food: majestic! Ambiance: soothing! Staff: the kindest! Asian fusion is done so often and it's usually a huge miss, but Jikoni gets it sooo right. Every bite feels like being at your grandma's house, but she lives in a foreign country and had the brilliant idea to use different spices to make her traditional dish. It's the real fusion, that of immigrants getting what they can at a market and making it their own, it's a marriage between cultures and traditions and it works oh so well! Okay.. I should probably stop now, but thank you Jikoni, for a lovely dinner. We'll be back and whoever is reading this: go! I promise you'll absolutely love it and then tell all your friends about it, like I have. (My blurry photos do not do the flavours justice).

Had a table booked in to Jikoni for brunch. As you can see, the place looks lovely, very “instagrammable”, and the food ‘photographs’ well too. But that’s as good as it gets. It’s a relatively expensive restaurant but the quality of the food and the service, does not reflect that. Portions are tiny, pork belly (named bacon on the menu) is dry, and the “banana bread” is actually sticky toffee pudding. Regardless, they all tasted good, the only argument would be that the “bacon” needs a sauce as it’s very dry. Generally all dishes, even the teas are overpriced. Definitely does not reflect in the quality. Now for the service….all waitresses were very polite. But it reminds of a corner coffee shop. All the staff seem to be very clumsy, prone to dropping/spilling things, and generally badly trained. All of the above, do not translate to a value for money experience. I could not recommend this restaurant as the service is lacking, the food tastes ok, but overpriced and the portions are tiny. Overall left feeling disappointed and ripped off.

Wonderfully cozy and delicious food! Came for the Valentine's day brunch and especially to try Meleks famous baklava. Prepaid and booked online. Service was great and the food was delightful both to look at and eat! The Mac and cauliflower was my favorite asking with the saffron bread. The rhubarb mocktail was refreshing and beautiful to look at. The dessert was everything I had hoped and more!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is the service, the food. I saw it on Saturday Kitchen and I thought that recipe looks good. My partner kindly humoured me and we went on Saturday. We were greeted as soon as we walked in shown to our table asked if we had been there before, I explained about see Saturday Kitchen. We chatted and asked for recommendations, he went over the menu and explained everything. The food was fresh and flavourful. Several staff stopped by our table to check on us, everyone was friendly and conscientious of the customers needs. They knew the menu well. I think whatever you select from the menu will be good, but I highly suggest you try the banana cake. That was the best desert that we can ever recall having. We will definitely be back.

Very underwhelming, food was bland (especially the scrag end pie, which for £34 was tiny and could be compared to any pub pie), atmosphere is nice but definitely overpriced and very one dimensional in terms of the food. The cereal killer prawns were a good size but again lacked flavour . Best thing on the menu was the scotch egg ( great taste but tiny ) and desserts seem to be great.

Fabulous place!! I was SO impressed by this little gem of a restaurant. Food was gorgeous! My quail was amazing and my Aunts mussels were superb. Great cocktails and I got a bit of their banana loaf with a candle in it for my birthday. So sweet 🥰 Would thoroughly recommend and I can't wait to go back.

Really interesting menu lots of combination of different cuisines and flavours in indivual dishes and across the menu. Very tasty for brunch and great service had a slight mishap but they made up for it with an extra side. The prawn toast scotch egg particularly good with the banana ketchup and pickle, and Achari Mary (bloody Mary with lime pickle) worked surprisingly well as a more refreshing Bloody Mary riff.

I visited Jikonki for a meal, which was delicious, in particular the truffle toast. I was disappointed with the portions, in particular for the starters, they were very small and not good value for money. The atmosphere and service was good. Worth visiting once

Extremely cosy. Feels just as if you were eating at home. Avocado toast on the brunch menu is really good. Cocktails were not amazing though.

Lovely, intimate space with considered decorations throughout. I especially loved the black and white photo of the chef and her grandfather. We visited for Father's Day and were delighted by the complimentary bottle of Toast. The ambience was relaxed, which was lovely, and was also reflected in the time it took to take our orders and prepare our dishes. The food was well worth the wait. We all tried each other's choices and were impressed with them all. The flavours were inspired and the quality exceptional. The waiters and waitress were also excellent.

A happy little space serving warm smiles and a scrumptious spread. Jikoni’s food, drink, staff and decor cured me of my homesickness. I ordered the beetroot croquettes, that we’re bursting with flavour, the kimchi potatoes (my favourite of the meal!) okra fries with curry mayo, again - yum, and the butternut squash khichdi. This one surprised me most and tasted like spoons full of home with an additional kick. As a vegetarian dining out in London, options are usually limited for me but I felt well looked after by Jikoni’s menu. I can’t wait to go back and try everything I missed out on! The banana cake served with kulfi and caramel was the cherry on top of a wonderful night of indulgence. Thank you team Jikoni! See you again, soon :)

I really enjoyed this place! My friends and I booked a table for four for brunch and it was the perfect sized group because we were able to share almost everything on the menu. The dishes where Indian inspired but very creative and very tasty! I will definitely be going back! We also saw a famous person there....but we kept our cool and let them enjoy their meal :)

Definitely the best ever culinary experience I’ve had in an Indian restaurant. Situated in a delightful part of Marylebone. We were a party of 10 and all were well satisfied. Many of the starters we had just explode in the mouth with complex tastes and spices. Service was impeccable. Well worth the higher price bracket. If you want to experience Ravinder’s authentic recipes it’s s must.

Excellent asian restaurant for a modern take on some classic Indian / African flavours. Chef was born in Kenya with Indian heritage and showcases an incredible fusion of flavours and influences at the highest level. Aloo Chat was mindblowing. And the kenyan chicken curry is a blast. Really recommended if you are around Marylebone area. Excellent service.

We absolutely loved the food, wine and atmosphere ( we were outside on a balmy London evening) .. - thank you to our waiter who we let choose our dishes and who did so brilliantly so that we had a wide variety of thé menu offerings. Thé innovative use/pairing of often unusual ingredients is really a knock-out when done like this. It has been our stand-out meal so far in the UK and we’ve been eating out for 2.5 weeks! Don’t change anything is our firm wish.

A wonderful experience for the taste buds and the staff is lovely! The eclectic decor is part of the charm, and is the reminder of the many influences of the cuisine: Middle east, African and British. We had mainly small plates and the grilled aubergine with rice (totally recommend!) as a big one + dessert. My favorite dish was the Burrata salad: fresh and delicious (burrata, endives, figs, walnuts, fresh cranberries and pomegranate) The trout was very good. The portion was really tiny on that one though... The chickpea chips were interesting and the portion was good, same with the crispy crushed potatoes. I'm not a fan of Scotch eggs but we thought that, in such a place, it could only be good. And it was moist and flavorful. The Banaa cake was soooo good! But if I was to have it again it would be without the sea of salted caramel it was served in: way too sugary and almost overwhelming the taste of the cake. Which also had a scoop of salted caramel ice-cream. I think the cake with the topping is enough. Just remember it's on the pricey side (given the location, I assume the walls aren't cheap) and you'll be fine. We interacted with different members of the staff and they were all super helpful and professional. We stayed until the last minute (hence the empty room shots haha) and no one made us feel like we were overstaying our welcome. Very gracious.

Great little place on Blandford Street. I've never had Aubergine made like that before, it was absolutely amazing. The lunch menu was entirely vegetarian which was amazing.

Amazing food - we had the potatoes and Brussels sprouts to start (great!) followed by the mouthwatering crispy aubergine and butternut squash pakora. The apple crumble pavlova was very tasty too, the best desert I've ever had! The ambience was relaxed and the staff were very welcoming and helpful! Will be back to try more of the menu!

I have to say I was deeply disappointed in this restaurant, especially as I looked it up and recommended it myself as the menu seemed so interesting and reviews were stellar. What we found was, the most splendid thing was the decor, as the food and my honeydew melon cocktail did not get us going, at all. We ordered trout with sourdough and expected a slender full-ish-bodied fish with generous bread offering - instead we got raw fish (my dear friend is not a fan of that) and tiny bits of toasted sourdough. Not happy! As for the aubergine rice, it was perfectly fine but boring. I get a hundred times better at Chinatown for a fraction of the price. Because it was edible and I didn't have to pick up the tab, also the decor was indeed impressive and my friend and I were well served and comfortable, I have settled for 2* -although I considered giving 1* to offset the unwarranted hype.

The team at Jikoni absolutely made my birthday night one of the best - the food is always divine and the staff even better: going above and beyond what's expected to offer a truly special dining experience. I can't wait until my next visit!

Recently visited London, we patronized a number of restaurants but Jikoni stood out. The food is comforting, well executed and healing. The crispy aubergine is the best aubergine I've ever had... never knew it could have such a crunch! The restaurant honors all diets but really shines with it's plant based cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and a calm reprieve from a bustling city. The staff is welcoming and personable. We ended up going back for dinner to complete our trip.

Excellent address. We go to Jikoni once a year and it never disappoints. Special mention to the tiger prawn moilee and the piña colada pancakes, they're always on the menu and a must. Also really enjoyed the caramelized moorish aubergine dish and the delicious corn frittata.

Was so excited about coming here but more of a cafe vibe - the atmosphere didn't match the price and food was average unfortunately, felt as though it was too quirky at the detriment of the taste. Limited menu, no chicken? Service was good & attentive

Without a doubt one of my favourite restaurants in London! The food, the atmosphere, the friendly service with a smile - everything is spot on. A foodie’s dream. The banana cake with miso butterscotch is h.e.a.v.e.n. on a spoon.

Delicious food and great place for a relaxed brunch with the family. We ordered the okra fries, fenugreek waffles and spicy fish cakes. And the desserts are not to be missed. The pina colada pancakes and banana cake were delicious. The portions could’ve been slight larger especially the scotch egg. The staff was also lovely and friendly. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend to all.

My new favourite restaurant! Exquisite Sunday brunch - the butternut moilee was sublime and the Pina colada pancakes and banana bread/sticky toffee pudding were out of this word! The staff were so sweet and attentive and everyone was very conscious of social distancing so we felt safe and cared for. Thanks for a fantastic meal, Jikoni, we are already planning our next visit.

My friend Rosh took me here for my birthday and since the first moment I step into Jikoni I knew it was going to be a lifetime memory. The food, the place, the style, the perfume, the attention to details and the staff make you feeling far away from the busy city vibes. The prawn toast was incredible and we end up the dinner having a banana cake, one of my favorite in my whole life. Jae looked after us during all night and his outstanding knowledge about every single dishes made the dinner even more special. Just incredible the taste of the Masala tea he brought at the end of the dinner. We couldn’t have a better end. I will be back soon! Thank you, Martina
