We had a great time at Planet India. From the first second we walked in, the service was warm and friendly and we felt right at home. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and we loved that you can split the portions in two to try more things. Also loads of gluten free beers which was much appreciated. Will definitely be back!

We had dinner at Planet India one week after they reopened (after lockdown). All in all, amazing Indian Vegetarian Food. Nice seating outside. Their dishes have a lovely home cooked feel and taste. Try the Shai Bhel Puri, it is the most amazing Indian salad-type dish I ever had! The onion bhajis are also second to none. Their menu has some nice little touches to help you to decide what to have. They have a good selection of beers as well. Highly recommended.

This cozy restaurant has left a good impression on me. The hosts are hospitable and the dishes are tasty. Unfortunately there aren't many options to pick from, but that wasn't a big issue. Coming from India, the taste and preparation of food lacked the authenticity and the spice level - but nevertheless it was overall a good experience!

Really really good food. Fun fizzy drinks. Good beers. You don’t even notice it’s veggie. The interior is super cute and feels like you’re hanging out in a living room.

We went her in the recommendation of an Indian friend and were not disappointed. It was amazing. I’ve been looking for a decent paneer curry after visiting India and I found the best yet! It’s a thums up from us.

This restaurant is great. It is a regular spot for my Mum and her partner but I had never been. The food was delicious and it was so nice being able to pick anything on the menu because it's all vegetarian. I'd definitely recommend! The pea and paneer is amazing and the chapattis are awesome!

Love this little curry house. Tasty vegan and veggie options only at affordable prices and decent sized portions. Cosy, friendly atmosphere inside but I often use the delivery service too. Great service.

What a lovely place to eat! Super friendly lovely people, delicious fresh food and great prices. So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant and there was room outside to accommodate us on a busy Saturday early evening.

Amazing food, one of the best Indian food I ever had. I had the onion bhaji, mombay potatoes and spinach and paneer curry. Highly recommended.

Has to be experienced to be believed. The masoor Dal is incredible but before I'd taken a bite of food I knew I'd be back. Best chapattis I've ever had, too.

Excellent food. The flavours are delicious. The food isn’t too oily. Quirky interior decor, 70s feel - but not kitsch. Quite an unique place. Service is good. This seems a popular place and I can see why. The dishes are generously portioned. The wait for the food was a little long, but not so long as to bring the overall score down. A fairly solid 5 stars. Overall, well worth it - also fairly reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

One of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been to. You can order two halves of different curries as your main which I liked. Sweetcorn, tomato and vine leaves curry was great (and spicy). Everyone loved the korma too. Friendly staff and the descriptions in the menu are entertaining. Check it out.

Excellent!! Really enjoyed food here with the family. Never had such a large Samosa chaat, not even in India. Superb taste, we had also ordered paneer curry, rice, lassi and chapati, everything was perfect!! Must visit for a vegetarian!! Please make sure that you book it in advance to avoid queues!! Thanks for the tasty banana chips which was served as freebies, really loved it!!

I'd heard great things about this place, and it did not disappoint! Full vegetarian menu, friendly service, everything was delicious and there's something about the place that gives off warmth and love - it felt like eating in a family living room. Can't wait to go back.

I went half and half on my dish of very spicy black chickpea curry and mixed veg curry, glad I did as the spicy curry is exactly that and the mixture was perfect. Bhel puri was a new one for me and was delicious. A repeat visit next time I'm in B town is anticipated.

I bought a takeaway online using their easy to use website. I soon received a polite phone call to confirm the order and ask when I will pick it up. When I arrived to pick up my food I was met with a wonderful atmosphere, people of all ages enjoying their food. The food was absolutely superlative! These vegetarian dishes provided the texture and flavour that one might covet from a meat eater. I was very impressed for moderately priced and healthy portions and I will return. I recommend.

This place is WONDERFUL! I am a coeliac and our server knew exactly what this meant and gave me so much confidence in ordering something safe to eat. I had the korma and it was delicious. Staff friendly, prices good and atmosphere relaxed. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Planet India!

Wish we lived closer! We ate here whilst away for the weekend on a recommendation and it was so good. Starters are generous and tasty as are the mains - amazing value. The team are smiley and friendly and service is quick and efficient. I was moved to tip at twice my usual rate so that’s proof of exactly how excellent it is.

This is the best Indian food I've ever had! Amazing food and service! We went as a large group and we all had such a lovely time. We particularly enjoyed the pani puri and ketchuris! Thank you to Neez and the team! x

Had a lovely meal here Friday! Had a raft of starters and shared 4 dishes split into 2 over mains. The Aubergine dish and Daal being highlights. Great staff and homely vibe within the gaff.

Literally the best vegan curry in Brighton and beyond! Been eating here for years, every time, is just perfect. The owners are absolutely lovely too, extremely down to earth and nothing is too much trouble! :)

We went as a group of 7 and were very glad we pre booked a table. The food was excellent with the spice acting as real flavour not just heat. I especially enjoyed the Mumbai potato curry. Exceptional !

amazingly tasty food, great personable service, fantastic vibes. loved the pink lighting and retro pop hits playing. i'd recommend booking ahead! (let them know if you're a wheelchair user so they can plan the seating arrangement ahead of opening)

The food here is delicious! Consistently tasty and fresh flavours. The 2-half portions option makes it easier to choose when tempted by all of the dishes. The staff are friendly and make it an all around great experience. We're lucky to have such a gem in Brighton.

Loved the food today, closest to authentic Indian in Brighton. In some starters there were too much tamarind than needed, but that's a personal preference based on which part of India your origin is from. Still I will rate 5* for the overall food quality and experience 😊

Beautiful food. Really tasty, high quality ingredients. Fresh and full of beautiful flavours. Such a treat!!! Came faster than expected too 👍 thank you for delivering the best vegan Indian food 😋

Food and service were really really good! - Had the peas and paneer along with some amazing starters. Could not get the name of the waitress but she was lovely and although it was busy she made sure we were enjoying our meal and checking on our table without being too pushy - absolute gem! We felt welcomed and shall return soon. Can get quite busy so booking in advance is recommended!

The best way to know if food is authentic in a restaurant and very good is to observe the people who eats there. Sorry didn't find anyone of Indian decent there when I ate. Food portions very big though for an affordable price.

The loveliest owner, the homiest atmosphere and absolutely the craziest most delicious vegetarian Indian food. Highly recommend, even if you’re a diehard carnivore it’s impossible not to fall in love with this place. Do not miss out on the Dhai Bhel Puri - crispy, spicy, sweet and fresh, an experience all on its own.

my excitement boiled as I entered this establishment, greeted by warm colourful lightning and joyous chorus of friendly chatter. The mood enchanted romance as we were greeted and sat to our table. The food, starting with the onion Bahjis were crisp and not overly oily, complemented by the tangy sauce. Our curries were vibrant and flavourful, perfectly spicy and cooked to perfection. I’d go 10 times over, and I will. I’ll take my family, I’ll take my friends, I’d encourage you to do the same. The owner’s aura is friendly and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Keep doing what you are doing because you are smashing it xoxo
