What an amazing restaurant!! The staff was so lovely — they went out of their way to accommodate us when we had accidentally cancelled our reservation. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. We absolutely loved the ambiance and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for a great dinner!

I went to Brighton for a one day trip and find out this amazing restaurant. Really enjoyed the cocktail and the Chicken Biryani. The Environment of the restaurant makes me feel like - I’m in India. For me it was really impressive. They are having variety of Indian food. Staff was also good. Overall nice experience.

Food and service amazing. Ramp available as a couple of stairs to get in but staff so helpful. Had the meat thalis, best I've tasted. Very generous portion and amazing tastes. We will be back. Was too full to try the deserts and cocktails... next time. Only downside on a Friday night as v busy was quite noisy. Will try mid week. Great vegan and vegetarian menu plus GF available as well

The staff at the restaurant was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The level of service we received was truly outstanding, and the quality of the Indian cuisine that we enjoyed was truly exceptional. Our order included the Mamaji chicken and Butter chicken, both of which left us thoroughly satisfied with their delicious flavors. Interior of the establishment was thoughtfully adorned, seamlessly blending ethnic and modern Indian design elements

An actual Indian restaurant (as opposed to a Bengali one) so the flavours are a little different to what I'm used to having. I would recommend going there just to taste the difference.

Wow wow wow!! Absolutely blown away by this place. We went out for a dinner after a long walk and fancied really good Indian food and pint. This restaurant was recommended to us by our friends and it did not disappoint!! To be honest it absolutely exceeded our expectations. They were super accommodative, Francesco was absolutely spot on. We did not even need to ask and he offered us straight away a quick starter and our pints were on the table in seconds. We tried little bit of everything from starters to mains and every single dish was super tasty. Spicy but not too much, just perfect. Also the atmosphere was just perfect and felt really authentic. Michy was taking very good care of us all evening and was engaging and funny. The restaurant itself has great decor, I especially loved the toilets. Overall experience was just brilliant, we will definitely be coming back and recommend this to everyone. Thanks for an amazing dinner.

The authentic Indian taste , I can vouch for it. In uk I am afraid of ordering Indian food from restaurants because of tastelessness. Either restaurants named Indian food and give you entirely different version of the same dishes Or a sweet tasteless food made me off ordering anything else . This restaurant is one of the best kind I have ever had in UK. Authentic brilliant Taste.... Good --------- 1. Service 2. Ambience 3. Taste 4. Authencity 5. Really good people 6. They offered complimentary desert to kids Need to know ----------------------- 1. Little bit expensive but worth spending money there 2. Always reserve your table before you turn up

Delicious authentic Indian food similar to what we ate in India when we visited a couple of years ago. The restaurant has a modern interior and the staff is friendly. Portions are quite generous. We had the meat thali and a lamb curry. A bit on the pricy side but definitely worth the money! Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back next time we're in Brighton.

Amazing authentic Indian food! The staff at the restaurant explain everything perfectly as this is very different from your normal high street curry house. Resturant looks beautiful, very unique and colourful.

Lovely food and great service. If you are looking for regular Indian food then move along. If you are looking for quality, different and individually served varieties of dishes and something special then this is the place for you. Going to make my local Indian seem very dull now!

We visited in early June 2022 we were not disappointed after we booked due to the fabulous reviews we had read. The service was the best with extremely friendly staff and the food was so very tasty and very good value. We booked as we were in Brighton for a weekend and will certainly visit again when we are next in the area.

This restaurant is very close to Beach 🏖️🏖️. If ur indian food lover then this is the best place to eat. With respect to cost it's bit expensive. For 2 people easily it will be 50 pounds. The service and food is very good. We ordered bhel Puri, vegetable biryani and masala Dosa all were very good. It's aunthetic indian taste.

Where to even start… all the staff are friends and genuinely love their jobs. Service was amazing and everyone was so friendly and happy. Atmosphere was buzzin - busy, but still fast service and reggae music 🎶. Toilets are Indian inspired and very clean. Food was amazing, perfect temperature when arrived, level of spice was lovely. Plenty of chicken, which was perfectly cooked. Also plenty of vegetarian options.

Yes yes yes. I've been out again with a good friend and ticked another restaraunt of of my to go to list. Indian Sumner has been a delight. I've eaten here under previous ownership and loved speaking with the family that owned the place but tonight was an eye opener. The new owners have really stepped up the game The food and service have been superb. I love the attention to detail both in the decor and in food presentation. ok Nothing I say will help you taste it or get those aromas from the kitchen and other diners meals. Nothing I say will prepare you for the delight of a mango and chilli cocktail. Yummmm!!!! So I'll let the pics do the talking. After all a picture can paint a thousand words. P.s I confess I did get the waiter to take a few pics of some of the other dishes being served as they came out. I told you super nice staff and service 😁

I literally cannot sing enough praise for this restaurant. Their desire to delight my mum On her recent trip with her multiple food allergies was effortless. They were attentive and kind. Made us feel very special without feeling ‘highlighted’. The food was so delicious. I’ve told at least 4 people in 48 hours about that dip with the starters!!!! Really reasonably priced for the quality of the food, service and drinks. My new favourite restaurant in Brighton FOR SURE!!!!!!

What a great place we have found to eat on our trip to Brighton. Thali was fantastic choice of dishes , taste and presentation was 10 out of 10. Purely class service with smile. I have been to many Indian restaurants all over the world but this one reminds me the taste of real India. Credit to kitchen and front of house team of Indian Summer.

Amazing to be eat...a must for any foodie. The staff are great and helpful, the deco inside is brilliant and the food is a definite match to the place. My parents lived the food (and they are very fussy). Can't wait to go back and try something different. Update.. Went back two later.. Still as good.

Visited last summer and was a great experience. Lovely staff, great tasting food and drinks. So visited again and it was all still prefect!! Portions were perfect. Just based on preference would be nice to have some traditional Indian dessert options. But brilliant menu otherwise. Decor is amazing too!

Love this place. Great atmosphere and a fun vibe. Epic food, prepared by chefs with vision, knowledge and skill. Great cocktail menu, tailored to the cuisine. Attentive, hard working staff with fun personalities. An owner with an unquestionable passion to provide an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend the overnight cooked pork ribs, masala dosa, and the grand thalis. The coconut margarita, the chilli mango mojito, the bombay fresh and the M2 cocktails are amazing. Book a table, you won't be disappointed I promise you that.

Amazing food and service. Booked a table tonight with family and we were all very impressed. I had the meat Thali - flavours were delicate and very well balanced - it was nice to be able to taste subtle ingredients and spices rather than just heat. Chocolate tea for dessert is recommended! Look forward to returning soon

My friends and I had just finished a huge walk and really wanted to try some Indian cuisine. Saturday of a bank holiday we knew last minute booking would be tough, but Indian Summer were willing to fit us in even though they were hugely busy. Well, we are so glad they did! The food was outstanding with everything cooked fresh and a real focus on the spices and ingredients , and the service was exceptional, we were welcomed from the start. Particular favorite dishes were the king prawns with coriander, chilli and garlic as well as the garlic naan which was crispy and light. The lamb merwari was stewed to perfection, falling apart with a savoury sauce. The restaurant itself was amazing, beautiful decor and ambience and some gentle reggae based music to boot. A perfect evening - can’t recommend enough.

Not only is the restaurant’s food impeccable, the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a museum of Indian culture. I had the Onion a d Sweet Potato Pakora as my starter and the Grand Thali for my main. Even the household dishes like Daal and Aloo Baingan are finger-licking-good at Indian Summer. Ended up also ordering the Mango Brûlée. All in all a great dinner experience. Will visit again!

What a gem this is such a stunning place so modern & unique it’s absolutely beautiful, the food is amazing never had Indian food anywhere near as good as this, myself and my daughter are gluten intolerant everything was labelled up so No having to ask which is a big tick in our book, 99% of the food was suitable for us and they even make you naan breads which tasted exquisite now there’s not often we use that word with gluten free breads! The staff were fantastic hosts they work hard at making sure everything is done correctly they are happy in their jobs which makes for a fabulous atmosphere, we will return on our next visit to Brighton, thank you for making our visit lovely

My wife and I had an absolutely fabulous time at Indian summer from start to finish. Welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable (about the food and Brighton) meant that we had delicious food in a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. The lamb curry that I had was delicious. The price of the meal was fair and matched the quality of the food, the presentation and the service received. If u want a very good curry in a friendly and funky decorated restaurant get down to this curry house 👍. We will be back 😊

I rarely give a 5* review, this was totally deserving!! The food was AMAZING, I'd highly recommend the masala dosas, hot summer chicken wings, papadum and pickles, lamb mewari, chicken biryani, mango lassi, oh and the vegan cheese cake is to die for... (and I'm not even vegan!!). There are 'Indian takeaways', and then there's Indian Summer. No looking back. This place is special. Amazing, friendly customer service from the owners. If you want a treat, this is it.

Have been staying locally in Brighton for work, have been eager to try the local and I dependant places when possible. Popped in and was greeted by the owner who kindly helped me understand the menu and other options available to me, picked a dish off the takeaway menu and asked for a little more spice.... Within ten mins (if that) I'm being presented with the goodness (smell was amazing, even in the bag and boxes). The garlic roti was the best which I have ever had (even having sat in one of those foil bags, which is never great) full of flavour, not too doughy and plentiful. The slightly charred aspect added great flavour.... Could have just polished that off with a drop of sauce. The curry itself, was amazing; the flavours really absorbed you. Decent amount of chicken too and 20 minutes later, I was a totally satisfied customer. Will be popping back to try something new next week. Thanks for a top dinner and kind service!

We had an amazing experience, the Bhelpurie starter was out of this world then two Grand Thali’s and the absolutely devine Barramundi maintained the gorgeousness. The service was wonderful and the Pinot Gris was possibly the nicest wine we have had in Brighton, at any price .... as for the ambience, the dinning room atmosphere and decor has a contemporary Indian feel celebrating street food roots and modern Indian culture. Overall the best Indian restaurant in Brighton.

Wow wow wow! The food is amazing and the spices 🤤 The staff were attentive and friendly. Customer service is top notch, you don’t find it like this very often. They regularly checked on us and you just get the feeling that they really care. Def worth going so book your table now :) Update: Went here for the second time yesterday. The food is just so good! Waiters are polite and attentive. I had a booking for 6.30pm but was late so gave them a call to let them know. They said it’s not problem they would hold it but would need the table back at 8pm for another booking. Two minutes later he calls me again to say they had a cancellation and I shouldn’t rush as we could have the table as long as we wanted. What a great service!

Welcoming staff and wafting aromas greeted us before being shown to our table for 4. Options explained, choices made, wine poured and thereafter ensued an array of delicious food. Our omni visitors were delighted with their choices, as were we with ours. Vegan Thalis is a particularly good decision as you get little pots of splendour together with roti and rice. Staff are knowledgeable, efficient and happy to help. Food is on-point with realistic sized portions. Simply a really good place to eat with an upbeat vibe. Can’t ask for much more!

What a great find! I went to Brighton for a day trip and stopped by this Indian Restaurant. The decor was really nice, it was a bit quiet as they were just opened but staff made us feel welcomed. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I ordered the grand Thali , it came with quite a lot of dishes, I must say I don't have any negatives about anything on the thali. The quality of the dished were exquisite, complimented perfectly by the beautiful presentation. There were fantastic options available for the different nutritional needs of the group (vegan, vegetarian and gluten free). I personally love Indian Summer's interesting, veg-friendly take on South Asian cuisine. I've dined-in a handful of times and have ordered Deliveroo dozens of times, and without fail their food has been really satisfying and tasty. There's great attention to detail as well, with side dishes often being on-par with the main courses. I highly recommend their Paneer Tandoori, it's the best I've had anywhere. Not only are the actual paneer cubes delicious, but the coriander chutney it's served with is literally the perfect accompaniment. Other highlights include the Masala Dosa (served with a savory sambhar), the Aloo Gobhi Subzi, and of course their samosas and pakoras (fried to perfection!). It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a cut above the competition.

However it's an expensive restaurant with limited menu option. Staff were exceptionally friendly and nice.

The standard of Indian food in Brighton is getting very good and Indian summer would have to be right up there. I've now been three or four times and have never had a bad experience, so much care has gone into the menu even by the unique dips served with the poppadoms and the rotis. Really couldn't recommend high enough. I've never booked as it's always been a last minute decision but they've always been as accomodating as they could, and inside is a lot larger than you think for bigger parties or people with wheelchairs.

Friendly little place and staff are very nice. Had the vegan dish and it was a good selection of Indian street food. Sauce was a little week but it was enjoyable nevertheless. Unfortunately I can't give it more than 3 stars because it is way, way overpriced. Many Indian restaurants in Central London are cheaper than current prices here and with bigger portions. A shame because the restaurant has charm. But for Brighton, there is too much competition to be charging what they do.

Overpriced. The food was ok. The service was good. There are better Indian options in the vicinity at half price. The highlight of our meal was the mango lassi, which was one of the best I have tried. The biggest let-down was the veg biriyani, which was probably the worst I have ever tried. The rest was somewhere in between.

The food was bland, the meals were expensive , the interior restaurant was not as grand as portrayed in the video . Unfortunately the ambience of this restaurant was pretentious -needs to improve!!!!.

Lovely meal out. Staff were very friendly and informative about the menu options. Very crowded on a Friday night which didn't bother us but might not be the best setting for somewhere intimate or romantic as difficult to have a conversation. Table was booked for 8 but not ready till 8:10pm -this was fine but there was nowhere to wait and so we were asked to to for a quick wander - not ideal on a cold night in the dark. Staff were very apologetic and managed to find us an alternative table when we returned. We had the vegetarian and the meat thali - both were delicious but the veggie option stole the show with a gorgeous Cauliflower curry. Nice range of drinks and cocktails.

Indian Summer restaurant a delightful ambience that sets the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. The cozy decor and warm lighting create a welcoming atmosphere. While the food could benefit from some improvements, the overall experience deserves a solid four-star rating.

Nice food and great customer service but as an Indian if you ask me was the taste authentic? My honest answer would be No. Will I go there again? With that price... Not really.

Place is okish. Friendly service and they explained all the dishes to us. Menu is limited. Food quality is good and good portion size, however it's expensive. Would not choose it again.

I spoiled my evening!! Even they put the price in side like numbers that customers couldn’t realise the price Vegetable thali £17.00 Just a lamb dish£18.00 Am shocked This is cheating!!!!!!! Food and service quality is 0000000 star. Also I view the rating of the restaurant before I want in it so good now am realised this is all fake and might be there own people!!!!! Don’t trust on it

Lovely Indian restaurant that is more street food style in its menu. All dishes were delicious! Would recommend!

One star off since the menu pricing on the Google listing is confusing and out of date. The real prices are almost 20% more. Second star off due to the cheeky-rude staff who kept rubbing it in because we probably didn’t order enough for 3 people who anyways paid £50+ for a quick lunch when the place was almost empty. Food portions and taste were excellent and the place was nice cosy with clean toilets. With amazing Indian restaurants in the lanes, not going back after this experience. Shame.

I must say the food was great but I have to say it is by far the most expensive I have have ever ever had. £126 pounds for 2 starters 2 mains and a bottle of wine. A mortgage is required

👍👍 As an Italian when I go in this place I feel like home. Food is excellent, on time, all the crew is nice and always takings care of the people at each table. I did really enjoy the time and the food at the VIP in Brighton. Looking forward to go again! 😊
