Went to the Sunday buffet, the food was really tasty, good choice of dishes. The poppadoms put automatically on the table cost 80p each, the chutney 50p per portion. 2 poppadoms provided per diner so expect a basic cost of £12.05 rather than £9.95. Still good value for a Sunday buffet. Unfortunately they fell down on service. Plates for the food took nearly an hour to arrive at our table - in the end we had to ask for the plates at the bar. Half the plates were too hot to hold without a napkin (a problem with a self serve buffet), the others were not heated. Difficult to attract a waiter's attention and had to ask twice for the bill. When the bill arrived we had been charged for another table's drinks as well as our own, this was rectified promptly when queried. Restaurant was clean and had a pleasant family atmosphere.

Celebrating my wife's 40th and our tenth wedding anniversary, so came to Sunday buffet. Outstanding food, great selection of vegetarian options and staff worth their weight in gold. We're definitely be back again. Thank you.

Tasty food - shocking service. We went to the Boxing Day buffet - a family get together. After waiting for over 15 minutes and finishing the popadoms we had to ask twice to order drinks. No offer of any additional drinks (which is where you think they would make a lot of money over Xmas). Waited about about 15 minutes to get given plates for the buffet. No clearing and given fresh plates - no napkins. When they came to clear they scraped the plates on the table piling food on and stacking the plates…. At one point curry was dripping down on to one of our parties arms 🙈 Glasses where cleared and they couldn’t manage them and ended up tipping a glass over on the table. Not even basic waiter skills to clear a table properly. Bill took ages to come and then a whole faff around having paid a deposit and not having the receipt with us. General rude and dismissive attitude by all the staff. Such a shame as the kitchen staff do a great job as the food itself was tasty, hot and a really good selection.

Melford Valley Tandoori is hands down one of the best Indian takeaway I've ever had! The food is absolutely amazing - every dish is bursting with flavour and made with high-quality ingredients. You can really tell they care about their food and take pride in what they do. What's more, they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy - they made our transition into our new home without a cooker so much easier. Their locally sourced chicken is cooked to perfection - never dry or overcooked - and the naan is out of this world. The flavour that the tandoori oven adds to the naan is something you just can't replicate at home. And I love that they don't use the same stock in every dish - it's clear they're focused on making every dish unique and delicious. All of this comes at an affordable price too - you're really getting high-quality food at a great value. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian food, look no further than Melford Valley Tandoori. Highly recommended!

Dont let the white table cloths fool you, excellent and affordable Indian cuisine. Decent drink menu to boot. I'd make a booking at the weekend.

Awesome all you can buffet on a Sunday, over 50 dishes from naan to samosas, lots of Curry's and rice's to choose from. Really tasty and amazing for £10.95 for an adult! Deffinately recommend!

Really tasty food, just the service was a little questionable at times... I found that everyone on my table found the addition of the radish decoration in the curries a little random?

Went on a Sunday for the all you can eat Indian buffet. This buffet was £11.99, which in this day and age is so cheap. While the buffet was extremely cheap, the food was extensive and delicious. The range of starters, nana, rice and curries available was shocking for me for such little money. The samosas were delicious, the chicken or the lamb samosas were nice and spicy. The keema naan was delicious, spicy, and fragrant. My only thing letting this place down was the food wasn't very warm. We had to wait a while for our plates to arrive at the tables. I wish they'd just give us some jugs of tap water instead of small glasses of if. If Lzo did take some time to get the attention of the servers for clean plates & more tap water. You do get 2 hours for the buffet, which is a really good time allowance. You get a few slots for the buffet, which need to be pre-booked. The slots are 12, 2 & 4pm. I would highly recommend this Indian buffet for anyone who wants to try new curries.

Polite servers who dealt with a table of 10 well. Great food - i ordered archari (chutney) chicken which was nice but had one chilli on the menu and it was just very sweet rather than having any spice to it which was a bit disappointing , still a nice dish just perhaps misdescribed. The buttered nan and rice were very nice. Food all came out at the same time which was good for the flow of conversation. Atmosphere was nice, clean table and toilets.

I recently took advantage of the Melford Tandoori buffet lunch and honestly was not disappointed. Sometimes going to a buffet lunch can result in average at best and limited food options, but not at the Melford Valley Tandoori. I found the a good and well cooked selection of rice and curry's options, with non meat version of the available. Along with this there were a good selection of sides, with some taking into account the very young who may not have discovered their adventures eating trends just yet. So if you fancy a nice curry dish, but aren't sure what to pick book yourself into the Melford Valley Tandoori and for £11.95 per adult you can have a bit of everything.

We had a takeaway from MVT on New Years Eve (as we do every year) and we were not disappointed. As a veggie, this is the only place I will go as the vegetables in the dishes are always fresh, varied and delicious. No soggy green beans here ! The staff are so welcoming. It's the best Indian I have ever been to.

Food choice and quality for a buffet is great. 50 dishes! Staff are polite but some pointers on how the buffet works would have been useful for first timers, and a drinks menu on the table. Understandably for £11.95 you won't find prawn or lamb dishes. Well worth a visit.

Always absolutely fabulous. Great service, really friendly hosts, the facilities are top notch, but even still the food is the best bit!

All in all very poor food, service and overall atmosphere. Worse Bhuna I have ever had absolutely no flavour and the onion bagees didn't even taste of onion. Spoke to the waiter and told himmy honest opinion and guess what...was totally ignored! They evidently didn't give a monkeys about the quality of food served...shame!! Never again Further to the response from the owner I would like to clarify! The Bhuna was only half eaten and the onion bagees were left NOT as claimed completely eaten! Ask for not understanding 'giving a monkeys' meant no one cared about our issues with the meal. Please don't respond to customers reviews with misleading responses making them look like they are lying!!!

This is more of a review of the Food than the Restaurant as we only ordered food online and went into to collect. The staff seem very nice when we went in to collect and looked like they would be very attentive so you would not go short on drinks. We ordered a Mushroom Rice Prawn Madras Lamb Tikka Balti Garlic Nam Sag Paneer All in all the food quality was really good. The Lamb in the Baltic was very very tender and there was a good amount of prawns in the Madras. I've not eaten a Takeaway Curry for some time now, and the blend.od spices in the dishes was great. The nam breads were well made and the Rice was very nice as well. I would have liked perhaps a bit more Rice in the takeaway container but apart from that it was all excellent.. Parking to collect the order.was very easy. Prices of the food we ordered was all reasonable. Long Melford has a very long Road with Plenty of parking on both sides of the road. I was very luck and managed to park right outside the restaurant. Overall I think he food, staff, and service were all really good. I will definitely be coming back again to try some other dishes of the menu. Looking forward to eating and ordering from here again.

We went for the Sunday buffet at £10.95, very busy, but food very good, tasted fresh and hot, we will return. Drinks expensive, £6 for a pint of cobra!

We have been consistent customers of Melford Valley for over 20 years, and their food is usually very good. However, their online ordering service quite often leaves a lot to be desired. In the past we have had to phone to see where delivery was, to be told it’s on its way. When it arrived it often failed to have a component - most often the onion bahji (at least 3 times from memory). Tonight we ordered 2 mains and 2 sides at 5.40pm. At 7.10pm I phoned to see where order was, and after a lot of silence and searching on their part I was told our order would be with us in 40-60 mins depending on the driver. Meal finally arrived at 8pm - it was cold, and missing the salad and mint yogurt dressing normally delivered with the Bajhi. I love the food at melford valley, but the online ordering service and phone customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Please step up to the mark!!

Recommended. Wandered in without a reservation and was warmly received. An excellent and varied menu. I felt adventurous and tried Goan chicken with lemon rice. Delicious, but a tad warmer than expected 🥵😊

The experience did'nt start very well, ordered drinks for six people, poppadoms and chutneys which arrived. On serving the drinks to our table the young waiter spilt most of the six drinks we ordered over my shirt and lap. We never made a fuss because accidents happen, sat there have'n eaten our starters still no replacement drinks and no glasses to drink the water we ordered. We had actually started our main and I had to ask for our replacement drinks which still had not appeared. We got through the rest of the meal without indecent. On requesting the bill at the end of our meal NO recompence was offered , I sat there all the meal with a wet shirt and a very wet pair shorts. The person in charge said he could not do anything as the owner was not there. Surely being left in charge of a restaurant makes you the person responsible. It tarnished which was a very good meal. Some places have NO customer service these days. A VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

Melford Valley provided outside catering for my 60th Birthday Party for 42 persons, food was amazing and staff were very helpful and made sure everything went really smoothly. All my guest were very impressed with the whole event and will certainly use them again for future celebrations, thank you to all the staff for making the evening so special.

We drove from a town with 3 Indian restaurants and it was totally worth it! Dishes that aren't available other places, and better versions of things that are! Sunday buffet was a great way to try things, and even the desserts were good! Service was attentive. The buffet was an excellent value, but they make it up in the drinks! Also, they have air conditioning and I was a little bit cold, but good to remember on a hot day. They've made some adjustments for covid safety, but it is a self service buffet on a Sunday.

What can I say? It was an absolutely luxurious and delicious meal. One of the best I have ever had! The staff were incredibly friendly and professional; I felt like royalty as they served us with nothing but top class and elegance. Customer service was 5 star. The food was faultless and the staff were very helpful in their menu suggestions. There was a large variety of food for all different tastes and moods. Menu availability and food quality was also 5 star. The atmosphere was very soothing and we felt extremely relaxed - as busy as they were, we felt no rush to leave. Decor and cleanliness was top notch and I will definitely be visiting there again, and even ordering a takeaway which seemed to be absolutely thriving! A big warm thank you to all the staff as you all made the experience nothing short of amazing. I look forward to my next visit :)

First and last time ordering from Melford Valley. Ordered online at 17.40 for delivery at 18.15. Called at 18.50 to enquire where the food was and told 20 minutes. Finally turned up at 19.20, an hour and 5 minutes late. The food was average at best and was luke warm. The passanda was quite watery and not as creamy as other places I've been. Overall, disappointing.
