Brilliant Indian dining experience in Dunfermline. Restaurant is spacious and decorated in a very fun way with swinging seats and converted tuk-tuk booths. We had a 9 course menu at £23 a head - huge amount of very good food. Highly recommended and will be back!

Done a few reviews of Dhoom now and been coming here since it opened. This is a truly superb Indian streatery and all-over experience - the staff and head chef are genuinely lovely and really care about their product - this shows in the seasonal menus (the taster menu highly recommended!) and the quality of meals - just altogether excellent for all the family. I've also been bringing my kids here more recently and they do a superb job of catering for kids of all ages. I really couldn't recommend Dhoom more!

This place is great for delicious Indian cuisine, great service and interesting interior design!! I have visited this place many times including Christmas dinner and some celebrations with friends. They have set menu option or a la carte menu to choose from. I had their set menu on Friday and selected goat curry as main which was amazing! All food is served with additional information about the dish and looks and taste perfect! I would recommend to try their cocktails as well. I had mango and passion fruit non alcoholic one recently.

We were pretty blown away by our first time here! The Indian food is presented it a beautiful way I've never seen Indian food presented before. The starters where familiar tastes yet really different with the cardamom and other flavours I don't often have that much in Indian food. The Dahl was up there with my boyfriend's mum's dhal so that was amazing (lets just not tell her that haha!). My fave was the textured coconut lentil starter thing! Beautiful decor and the waiter was fantastic. Oh and good cocktails! We are visiting Scotland again in Feb quite far North but we're going to take a detour just to come back! Can't wait! I really hope to see more branches popping up!

Loved my visit here. The placed looks great, very quirky and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I tried the 9 course taster menu and it was unreal. Lots of small bites, full of differing and interesting flavours. By the end I was satisfied without being stuffed and unable to move. The starters and appetisers are brought out in pairs and you can't choose these but all were excellent. You choose your main course and this comes out with fries, rice and a chapati. I chose the curried cheese and again it was amazing. This selection was only £22.50 so great value too. Drinks and dessert were obviously extra. I'm already planning my next trip.

Hands down the best meal on this 2 week trip to Scotland. It was lunch time and we just happened to be walking down New Row and decided to give it a try. We did the 7 Course Taster lunch. Everything was perfect. My main was the Railway Canteen Lamb Curry. It was so delicious. The service was outstanding. Not that I'll ever be back to Dunfermline but if I ever was this place is on the #1 thing to do list.

I was worried about visiting for company meal as we usually go to more expensive places due to higher budget. But I loved Mumbai tasting menu and how waiter told us about every course in our menu. We'll be back soon again.

In my life I have never tasted food as wonderful as this. I live in Edinburgh but I'll be back and I'm going to bring my family. Words won't do this review justice, but believe me, you won't experience anything better on this side of the bridge. The staff were friendly, efficient. I recommend the Taster Menu. PS Go here hungry 😁

Went to Dhoom on Thursday 4th May 2023. Genuinely the best dining experience I've had in Dunfermline. The team there were extremely welcoming from the moment we stepped in the door. Took time to explain the 10 course tasting menu, giving history and a run down of everything that went into each dish as they arrived. I cannot wait to go back here!

Valentine’s taster menu We had our valentine’s lunch here in Dhoom. We tried their taster menu which was good. Their cocktails are very nice. Ambience was very good, keeping the kids occupied all the times. They really enjoyed to sit on the swing and also the Tuk Tuk seating idea was impressive and catchy. Clean ambience, staffs were friendly. We recommend this place.

Delicious ~! We tried their lunch taster menu and wow, what a fun lunch time experience. Delicious mocktails, super friendly staff and amazing food. My personal favourite was the Chicken 65. The sauce was perfect. But the kulfi-pop was very very tasty and cute. Prices were incredibly reasonable and the decor was charming. We'll be back to try more! I encourage you to try them too. 10/10 ⭐

It's certainly a place that is well worth a visit for people who like traditional Indian food. It is obviously very popular and so there's a lot of conversational noise - don't go expecting a quiet romantic evening. The staff were all very pleasant, friendly and efficient. They all seem highly motivated and to really enjoy working there. This is maybe because the owner mucks in by cleaning tables, etc. Each dish was described by the waiter as it arrived, but it was so noisy that I couldn't hear any of it. The food was all too spicy for me, but, of course, that's a matter of personal preference. Other customers seemed to be enjoying the food very much. I found there was an unusual, very faint but slightly unpleasant flavour that seemed to underpin many dishes. I've no idea what it was. There is one section where the seats are actually swings suspended by ropes from the ceiling. I'm not sure why, though, but it's certainly very quirky.

First time I’ve been here. Little bit different but good experience. Friendly greeting and got seated straight away. We chose a tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. Each dish was explained to us about the concept behind it and the ingredients. There was no rush and any questions and queries we had were answered without feeling like it was an inconvenience. The person serving us was very knowledgeable. All of the dishes we had were very good and packed with flavour. We went on a Sunday night and wasn’t too busy but we did book beforehand just incase. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back when in the area.

Really like the street food tasting concept. Lots of mini dishes to try before the main course comes. All very interesting, the presentation and ingredients. Food not overly spicy. Service was friendly, attentive and quick. Went mid week early evening - it was fairly quiet. Highly recommended

My fiancé treated me to a fantastic taster dinner at Dhoom for my birthday. We had a wonderful evening: the food was out of this world - so delicious (and plenty of vegan 🌱 choices for us)! We enjoyed the flavours of the Kolkata menu - what a range of tastes and textures! They've also introduced a new mocktail - the Ras Rush - which is raspberry puree, passion fruit syrup and lychee topped with lemonade.🍹Amazing! The staff, of course, were fantastic as always, and we had super friendly five star service. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A special thank you goes to Chef Prasad who gave me beautiful door hangings as a birthday gift. ❤️ We love the new decor, and, of course, the tuk tuk seating!

Simply spectacular. Turns out the best Indian restaurant in Scotland is in Dunfermline, just up from the Alhambra theatre. Knowledgeable and friendly staff presented some of the very best Indian food I've ever had. The owner/chef also takes time to greet everyone and make sure they're happy. The multi-starter intro is a must have.

We discovered this restaurant by chance when we missed the train out of Dunfermline by just a couple of minutes. We walked up from the station, found this restaurant and decided to go inside. I am a really fussy eater and at first, I didn't think I was going to like the meal as I normally go for a korma. But for me it was a brilliant experience trying new things like their brilliant Goat Curry. The decor inside is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the food they do really is amazing.

This is a unique dining experience with swings at the tables, tuk tuk booths, beautiful decor and ambience. The cocktails and non alcoholic drinks are excellent but the food - it was AMAZING! All the staff are knowledgeable on the dishes and it's delightful being informed on what you're eating. The service and whole experience could not be faulted!

Hidden Secret of Dunfermline (Scotland !) First time in Dhoom with my lovely family and it’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The service we received was so amazing and they made us feel welcomed. Our visit was a wonderful experience and we already booked our table for the next visit :-). The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. I have to say, we enjoyed every single bite of the meal. Great Job Team....

I always wanted to go in as there’s tables with swings and it just looks so cool! Finally me and my friend decided to have lunch. Simply amazing! The food was perfect. Very tasty. We got offered 2 menus, a la carte and a 9 course dinner menu, we chose the 9 course dinner one for £22.95 pp. Every dish was explained to us by a kind and friendly waiter. We started with a spicy tomato soup before the starters while we waited for the food. Also, a palate cleanser between the starters and the main course. Very nice. We got a couple of mock tails which were colourful and tasty. The place is nice, everything is modern and different. Loved it. Thank you, I will be back soon. Keep up the good work

Best Indian street food in the whole of Scotland, maybe the UK. Such a different twist on amazing food and the staff are incredible. Always happy and willing to help. Tasting menu is the one and only, you have to try it!! Lunch is a bit lighter with 7 courses over the 10 in the full menu. Wouldn’t miss out on a. Chance to go again and again.

I brought my partner here to celebrate her birthday and we had an amazing, immersive and authentic flavour train of an experience at Dhoom. Firstly, I cannot recommend the Mumbai taster menu highly enough. The staff and owner are so enthused to share their unique flare and knowledge of Indian regional cuisine that from the moment that you are sat at your table you are made welcome and attended to with great care, especially if you have dietary requests. For an entirely reasonable price you are engaging with excellent service, beautifully presented food, waiters who are engaging with you with stories on a journey through Mumbai as you experience all of the flavours and recipes this restaurant offers. The owner accomplishes his mission to bring an authentic dining experience to the people of Dunfermline. Experiences such as these are ways to expand your views on the world and food, simply by going to another place on your doorstep wishing to expand your mind and provide outstanding hospitality. I regret there being no six star option for any of these ratings.

Me and my partner came here on a weekend in Dunfermline and really enjoyed everything about it. We tried the 10 course tasting menu (my wife the veggie one) and were impressed with just about every one so would recommend this as a good option for trying out the menu. The wee soup starter was unreal, would return just for a cup of that. We also left full to the brim with a takeaway bag, not always the case with tasting menus! The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, giving a little background on each course which was a lovely touch. Very close to a five star but my chicken tikka dish wasn't quite to my liking. I'd be more than happy to return with a new menu as I believe the chefs create a new one periodically. Nice to see a place that's a little bit different doing well, we were among the first tables in at 5pm but was near full with a nice atmosphere on leaving.

Something different from more traditional Indian restaurants to try. In evening they offer a tasting menu and the courses keep coming. You can even book a table in a tuk tuk or a table with swing seats.

Fantastic experience , food, decor, service all get top marks from us. The place is more on an expensive side but definitely worth every penny. We went for tasters menu and all of the dishes were absolutely gorgeous, despite small portions you feel really full after finishing all your food. We'll definitely be back soon , that's for sure.

Dhoom was an Indian adventure of authentic dishes from all over the country. We had the taster menu which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant owner served us personally and told where each dish came from. The interior of the restaurant was tastefully decorated without the usual flock wallpaper lol. We sat in a mock Tuk Tuk to eat our meal which brought back many memories. Dhoom is a BOOM of a restaurant.
